You weren't supposed to beat up little kids. That was supposedly the rule in fights but rules were made to be broken and man of boy howdy. Spacewatch was pretty sure this whole space tie-fighter gig minus the sith and jedi was breaking all the rules.

So far she'd seen some weird stuff and had been threatened as a terrorist despite looking like she was 12, (even if she was in high school now thank you very much police officer fat face), and most importantly.

She'd been cursed.

Cursed that she felt compelled to make Comet puns and point dramatically before she got into fights. Or tried to fight anyway.

Still, pun curse or no, she was stuck hunting down people in weird as all heck uniforms, and tonight was no different.

Marcasite always went into the night feeling powerful and confident. How could she not when she had Xenotime as her general and mostly good experiences so far? There was a restless energy humming beneath her veins and the lieutenant was feeling pumped.

There was a hop in her step as she strolled down the dim-lit streets.

Her uniform was smoothed out when she paused to readjust her hat and keep it from falling off her head. It seemed like an odd accessory to what was supposed to be a military outfit but there was a sense of pride that filled her whenever she caught sight of her reflection with the whole suit.

Plus it helped give her a better sense of the character, the persona she wanted to put forth when it came to who Marcasite was verses who Jade was. If she didn't draw a line, they'd cross to many times and she could risk losing sense of herself.

She didn't want that.

It didn't take her long to come upon someone else, someone who looked suspiciously like the senshi she'd seen fleetingly but this person...they were so young. "What are you doing out so late?"

There were no breaks or or ways to lighten up Jane aka Spacewatch as she'd been more or less stuck into a role she had no idea in how to fill. Did she just fight all things? None of the things? Did the weird monsters just always turn to dust or was that because she used her magic which was in itself a giant trip?

Really, who gave kids super powers and basically left them to do whatever it is they wanted? Apparently magic granting cats that's who.
Some people should just invest in dogs because as far as Spacewatch was considered, cats were total jerks.

Brushing offe her skirt after a particularly awkward jump, she checked her bow- the floaty bits still remained.

They kinda freaked her out some but-
"Huh?" The sudden voice had her freeze. Was it another cop?" Head turning she felt better to see it wasn't but, it was someone in a weird outfit.
With those nasty vibes.
"Nothing crazy. Fighting evil, monsters. The usual." She set her hands on her hips.
"Why, you going to call my mom to stop me?"

Technically speaking, if they knew her mother, it would have been very effective.

Marcasite didn't know what to make of the kid and that was the problem.

"Fighting monsters should be left to the adults," she chastised, trying to appear like an authority figure to a child who most certainly wore an outfit that defined her as one of them. It left the woman mildly uncomfortable, the knowledge that a literal child was roaming the streets out past curfew believing it was her job to fight the "bad guys".

"Kid should be in bed." And she winced knowing how weak and over used the line was, especially if this was the kid's regular behavior. "You know what, maybe I should call your mom, see what she thinks about your late night activities."

She ignored the fact that she didn't know who the kid was let alone her mom. She just had to pretend that she knew and that would be enough.

Right?

Spacewatch agreed on premise. Monsters could and should be left to the adults. Which is why she was okay with it in being 'qualified'. Still, the insinuation that she was a child had Spacewatch raising her hackles. She was 14! She was nearly an adult!

The threat to call her actual mom- now that was over the line.
"Yeah? Fine! Lets see you call my mom when you're running home to your's crying!"

"Comet Flash!"

Raising her hand to the sky, Spacewatch summons a multitude of fist sized balls of light to streak down from the sky in a series of random flash bangs. They feel akin to her own physical ability to hit. It effects only 3 targets at a time, and the range is a five foot radius. Lasts 20 second and can be used twice in battle. They do not do anything but strike.

Smol child is insulted and throws a fit more at 11

The kid seemed to have a serious attitude problem and while Marcasite had originally been keen on letting her just walk away - because okay she was still just a child as far as the twenty-five year old was concerned - everything changed when Spacewatch attacked.

The insult was expected, the lieutenant wasn't surprised in the least that the chibi senshi would react poorly to a threat of a parent being called but the magic was not. And it stung.

The attack was so unexpected that Marcasite didn't do anything but take it, outside of lifting her arms to protect her face. The flash bangs disoriented her, made her squeeze her eyes shut and hiss in irritation.

As soon as it was over, the woman was yanking off her hat and chucking it at her girl in retaliation. Her aim was probably off though because, damn there were spots all over her vision and her whole body ached from 14-year-old girl comet punches.
