Jet had never been hit by a train before, but he certainly felt like he had been. He ached all over and shivered from the cold, blood both wet and dry was caked to his face and clothes. He hoped the others were doing better than he was, but from the screams of his fellow captives, he doubted it. At least he hadn’t seen any bodies being dragged out, which meant they were either being kept alive on purpose, or the White Moon was too chicken s**t to kill them.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw movement by the cell door, and he shifted just enough to look up from where he was tied against the wall. A cat? What was a cat doing in there? Maybe it was there to catch the rats…?
“Hey…” he called with a small smile feeling some of the anger and pain dissolve if only for a few moments, wondering if it was shy. “It's okay... Are you stuck in here, too? I’d give you food if I had any…”

The small silver can flounced from around the corner and slid herself between the bars of the jail cell with ease, even if she had to wiggle a little bit to do it. Maybe time to lay off the sweets, but that was something to think about later.
Right now, she had a young Captain to investigate and he certainly looked the worse for wear. She almost felt bad. Almost. He was still a Negaverse officer and not even a new lieutenant. There was no excuse for what he was doing with them.
And he thought she was a normal cat. He was so far off the mark!
"Don't be silly!" She chirped, her nose and tail in the air as she trotted over to the clear space in front of him and sat down primly, her tail curled around her paws. "I'm the one keeping you from teleporting out. Now. I have some questions and I expect prompt and honest answers."
Small face entirely serious, Ash studied the boy as she organized her thoughts, debating the best way to go about this. Her voice had something of the no-nonsense school teacher to it, her posture as upright and straight as any of them could wish for.
"Trust me, you want to answer my questions. If you don't, I'm afraid I'll have to get someone to assist you with that and I suspect you would not enjoy that very much. If you're cooperative, however, I can promise an improvement in your situation. Food, drink, somewhere more comfortable to sit or lay down. So just keep that in mind."

He was so cold, worn down, and in pain that he didn’t even realize that the cat had a White Moon aura until she spoke. His spirit, which had elevated just slightly at the thought of having company from a cat, was quick to deflate. The small smile on his face disappeared in an instance, and any emotion left his eyes. Jet leaved his head back against the exposed pipe he was tied to and closed his eyes, figuring it had been too good to be true.
“I didn’t realize the White moon was interested in information,” he said dully. “I don’t want food, or drink, or anywhere comfortable. What I want is for you to admit that the White Moon is no better than what you claim of the Negaverse.”
By this point he was so hungry that he didn’t know if he could stomach eating anything. Being without food or water for days was so physically draining that he was losing the ability to even care. He would die one way or another. If he starved to death, it would probably be better than what they had in store for him and the others there.

Ash watched the young man with a bright, inquisitive gaze. Every detail of him was taken in and cataloged for later consideration. There was no telling what might be important.
The welcome in his face faded immediately after she spoke, which was partly satisfying and partly disappointing. He was a Negaverse officer, she wasn't here to make friends, but still... No one liked being disliked, right?
"I don't know about the 'White Moon', but I am interested in information." She said as she tilted her head. Standing, she paced closer, her path taking her to his side when he made no threatening motions towards her. The guardian settled beside him at a more comfortable speaking distance and she considered his demand.
"I'm afraid I'm not sure what you want me to admit. Order doesn't stuff cats into bags, drain energy from unwilling, innocent people, force people to join our side against their will, or rip the starseeds out of their chests." She remarked, her voice cool. "I won't deny though that we can be as much soldiers as any Negaverse agent. We fight to protect this world from being used and sometimes, that can get violent."
She was not going to argue that senshi and knights could hurt people, and often did. But never civilians, never those who weren't chaos tainted. And if all of the Negaverse simply stopped killing and draining? She was confident none of them would have a conflict any more.
"Who is your superior officer? What General do you answer to?" She started off with a fairly harmless question, hoping to get the ball rolling, so to speak. Easy questions first, harder questions later.

If it wouldn’t have hurt to do so, Jet would have rolled his eyes at the cat’s response. As it were, he was already worse for wear and didn’t particularly care to play nice with a White Moon cat. Or anyone.
“Why do you care what General I answer to? What, did you want to know who to send my dead body to? Maybe send my head as a gift? I’m sure the postage would cost less,” he suggested bitterly, his head tilting back just enough to rest against the wall. He did his best not to let any whimper of pain escape, not wanting to show this cat any more weakness of his, but he wasn’t sure he managed to keep the effort from reaching his expression.
But, since the cat was asking, he forced an amused grin. “Maybe I’ll be lucky and when my General does realize what the White Moon has done, if she hasn’t already… She’ll tear all of your limbs off. That would be nice,” he added as his expression fell again, his expectation of leaving that jail cell alive had already disappeared to the cruel reality.

He blustered and hid behind sarcasm, but she wasn't terribly surprised by it. She might have done the same, in his place.
"You're rather young, aren't you?" She said idly, her tail twitching against the floor. "That was very much a childish response to a simple question."
Lifting a paw, she ran her rough tongue paw the soft pads on the bottom, at ease with the situation, or so she appeared. And why should he not believe her? She had every advantage in this situation. Paw clean, the cat paced forward and spun, reaching into that other space to pull something out.
A water bottle thunked to the floor in front of her and in the next moment, the cat disappeared herself, bursting into sparkles that fell in small cloud. In her place crouched a small woman with long blue hair and she swept up the bottle as she scooted closer, settling to sit with her legs folded under her, bare toes wiggling. Silver ears poked up from the top of her head, twitching light with interest.
"I'm sure your General is quite terrifying, Darling, but without a name, I can't really be sure who to fear, can I? Now. Answer my question, and I'll give you some water. That sounds good, doesn't it? Its a very small question."

Jet’s glaring turned into his eyes widening, followed by a yelp of surprise as the cat changed from a normal talking cat (normal talking cat??) to a girl with ears and a tail.
“W-what the hell??” he sputtered weakly as he struggled to try and back up further against the wall. An impossible task, but something he tried none the less. “S-stay back,” he demanded, his already blanched face turning paler from the shock and pain he caused himself in his panic. His wrists were cut and raw and his arm and chest throbbed painfully.
At first he was going to continue to ignore her questions, but what if she could turn him into a cat? That would be horrible. He didn’t know how this senshi magic worked! It was entirely possible, seeing as she just turned into a girl!
“General Cinnabar is who I answer to,” he said, wondering if the General would agree to him being her subordinate, or if he was stepping out of line. He didn’t think they ever discussed it in any official capacity, but she was the first he turned to for advice and help. He liked to think that she would be okay with him calling her his General.
Of course, she might also be disgusted that he ended up being caught. For all he knew, she might kill him for being useless and running the risk of leaking information.
“I don’t want your water,” he added, wary that the water might be what ends up turning him into a cat

His shock at her transformation was both a bit surprising, and rather pleasing. He lost his sullen attitude, but it did put the fear of God into him. Ash wasn't quite sure if it was better that way, though... but maybe she could make use of it. She did managed to pull a name out of him, which was a step in the right direction.
"Thank you, Darling!" She cooed in praise, clutching the bottle to her chest as though he had given her a gift. She hummed happily as she relaxed her hold again and twisted the cap off, breaking the seal with a soft noise.
"Hmm?" Her brows lifted as she tipped it towards him in offer. "Are you sure? You look awfully thirsty, Darling. I promise, its nice and cold and good."
She wiggled it a little, enticing him.
"I can get you some food too, you know. If you're a good boy and answer more of my questions. You did very well with that first one, I'm very pleased. Now, another... how long have you been part of the Negaverse? When were you promoted to Captain?"

Jet shook his head as vigorously as he was able to, and clenched his mouth shut as if to try and ward off her trying to feed him something weird. He didn't want to turn into a cat. And he knew it was crazy to think he would, but he didn't know how Senshi magic worked. And even though the mention of food made his stomach groan and plead, he still shook his head, his eyes wide and somewhat fearful, if only because she was one of the stranger things he'd encountered.
"I've been in the Negaverse since before I turned fifteen, after a Senshi killed my brother," he said, but he couldn't quite put the accusatory bite in his words as he would have liked, still too wary of her to manage it. "That was about a year and a half ago. I've been a Captain for about half a year."
Why he was answering her questions, he didn't know. Part of him said he shouldn't say anything. But the other part was convinced she would turn him into a cat. That would probably be worse than death.

Ash's ears splayed as she did a little math.
"Oh goodness... you're only sixteen? So young, to be a soldier." She held the bottle to her chest. "Seems to be the fashion... some of my senshi are your age, you know? Its not fair to any of you."
The Mauvian twisted the cap back onto the bottle, since he seemed not inclined to take it.
"I can only imagine how many teens like you are in the Negaverse. How many officers are there? Do you know? There must be quite a lot... I've seen so many and I'm sure that's only a small percentage of them. How many General-Sovereigns are there?"
Harder questions, but also more useful to them. Knowing the enemy's numbers could give them an idea what they were up again, same with knowing who the leaders were.

"It was my own choice to join," he spat, despite his obvious wariness of the strange cat girl. It was insulting to be called young. He was an adult. Legally. Regardless of whether or not a Senshi killed his brother, he would have joined, he felt. It was just sooner than anyone expected.
"There's hundreds of us," he said quickly, his fear giving away to irritation and anger. "Over a hundred General Kings and Queens. You don't stand a chance! Go ahead and kill us all here and more will just take our place!" he barked, his face twisting into a grin, his eyes somewhat crazed.
He had no idea how many there were in the Negaverse. He'd heard they had huge numbers, of course, but he didn't know for sure. Buy this cat woman obviously thought so little of them. Trying to bribe him with water and food. He'd already told her what he knew, and part of him wondered if it was too much, but the other part would be glad if this cat woman met her end at the claws of General Cinnabar. A nice twist of irony.
"You White Moon think we're so disposable, then why not just kill us already? I'm not afraid of death," he growled. It wasn't entirely true but she didn't know that. He was afraid that they really were disposable. Would anyone even try to find them?

The cat-girl's eyebrows rose as he bragged about their numbers. He was quick to jump to it, lacking the hesitation he'd had over the very simple question of who his superior was. She found it hard to believe him as he went on to rant about killing, fitting every zealot trope she had ever seen.
Her green eyes rolled dramatically behind her purple visor and Ash sighed.
"We have no plans to kill any of you, believe it or not." She said, her tail twitching up to curl at the end. "Killing you was never the intention. We could have done that a lot easier just hunting you down en mass and leaving you for your superiors to find."
She flapped a hand dismissively as she tucked the water bottle away into her subspace pocket.
"Unlike your precious Negaverse, which I'd like to remind you has not gotten around to rescuing you yet, making me wonder if they even plan to, the white moon thinks you are a living being worth keeping alive. So. We're not going to kill you, but an example has to be made. A warning to everyone on the other side that we will not tolerate this taking and keeping of prisoners" A smile twitched across her lips and she put on a mask of pleasantry. Some of what was being done to the prisoners was not anything she agreed with, but if her senshi said it had to be done, then she would trust in their judgement. But he didn't need to know about their inner conflict.
"We're going to leave you for your superiors to find, but what state you are in greatly depends on how useful you are to us. Things will be easier for you if you cooperate, obviously. We aren't monsters."
Standing, there was a pop of sparkles and the cat girl was a cat once more, her tail a flag over her back.
"I think maybe you need some time to think about how useful you want to be and how much you want to cling to your stubbornness, and the consequences of it. I'll just leave you alone for now, but I'm sure there will be senshi and knights in later to check up on you. They're a lot more willful than I am, so I hope for your sake, you have more to tell them than you shared with me." The gray cat said as she padded towards the bars. "Be a good boy, now!"
She slipped between the bars with ease and padded back up the hallway, leaving the young officer to his empty cell and whatever misery he would bring on himself. There was nothing she could do for him, she told herself, if he didn't want to cooperate.
