Hugbell sighed as she walked towards the tree house. She hadn't been gone long but she was still tired and she was carrying Barnaby on her shoulders. "I maybe letting the crystal take a little too much energy with the way I've been sleeping."

Though she did feel better the moment she stepped on her homeworld and let the warmth of the sun bathe her for a few moments. It was so much nicer weather here than the nasty cold at home. The teen didn't waste any time however as she had her mind on a task to do.

When she reached the crystal field she looked over it and smiled as they greeted her brightly, gleaming in the sun. "Hello darlings~" She called out across the field before heading into the workshop. She stretched and looked around to see what was left behind. "So we know there's some tools to set in stones. Surely there's more than that." She mused as she woke up Barnaby.

"Good Morning sunshine." She said softly handing him the crystal that could drain energy, "Keep that safe for me okay?" She then moved to dig through the array of drawers, boxes and cupboards that sat undisturbed, shooing away cobwebs as she worked. Soon she had an array of things sitting out upon the workbench and smiled, "Okay so we've got settings, ribbons, fasteners, and now we just need . . . the right crystal."

She moved to pull out the sheets of instructions. "I . . . still can't decipher these but thankfully there's some pictures." She sat them down and Barnaby sat looking at the directions as well. "I'm going to assume I should pick a crystal and try to harvest a piece, at least that's what the pictures look like. Right?" She looked to the bear who was nodding his head, as she followed the pictures of a person with a pick axe and smaller crystals. "Okay lets go find a baby crystal and see if we can dig it up or chip some off of it."

Barnaby was still holding the crystal Caedus had given them, Hugbell paused, "Wait lets . . . " She grabbed a handkerchief and a stick and made a bindle. "There, now we don't have to worry as much about it," She offered it back to Barnaby to carry as she picked him up as he held onto the stick. She also grabbed a pickaxe she noticed hanging on the wall.

They searched for a while until they finally found a crystal that looked just about right, "Look this one is short enough we shouldn't have to worry too much about having to work really hard." She dropped to her knees letting Barnaby down so both of them could look at the little crystal before Hugbell placed her hand on it. "I'm sorry sweetie, I need just a little for a gift. Okay?" She picked up the little pickaxe and swung once as hard as she could at the angle she wanted it to chip off. "Please work, please don't make me do this more than once." She whispered as she struck it.

There was a crack in the crystal she was trying to harvest from but it didn't cleanly break off, in fact it was still hung on the larger piece. Hugbell pouted as she started tapping softly, this was going to take longer than she expected . . . and it did. The sun on Hugbell indicated at Hugbell's best guess and hour had passed as she worked on getting the piece of crystal off. Finally though she had a nice chunk. It was round, small had a flat side and a pointy side. "This works" She mused, it could've easily been twice her index finger tip.

She had put Barnaby to sleep when she realized how long it was going to take, picking up the stuffed bear, the bindle, crystal and pick axe Hugbell headed back to the workshop to finish setting the crystal.

"Barnaby, sweetie can you wake back up?" She asked as she activated the ribbon again, she knew he didn't have much time left but at least she wouldn't have to work alone. "There we are~" She cooed as she sat him back down.

She sat down on the stool at the work bench and started working to set the stone into a red ribbon. "I think a red ribbon would match him well. I mean I'm not sure, maybe black? Eh we'll go with red. Red'll be okay." She said with a nod as she worked. When she finished setting the stone Barnaby had gone back to sleep and Hugbell looked over too him and sighed, she wished he could see how much she'd managed to accomplish. She'd been playing with crystals that had already been harvested and laid around for a great time. However, she felt like Caedus deserved something a little more . . . personal.

"Well it won't work like yours . . . but I'm sure he'd enjoy the gift." With that Hugbell took the sleeping bear and headed back to Destiny.
