This Caedus character left a lot of things to think about after that weird meeting outside of town that all those senshi and knights had shown up to. The history lesson had been too much to take in all together. Something about a powerful queen he'd made an alliance with and then she'd gone crazy and fought with the moon and created this place that was the Negaverse base of operations, full of huge a** Youma. And supposedly, he would be able to take people there so they could fight the bad guys, after they gathered him enough energy. Or something.

Without Puck knowing, Eros had gotten a hold of one of those little energy draining crystals the stranger had been giving away and she rolled it between her fingers as she paced along the roof of a coffee shop, The Golden Cat. Wrapped in cling wrap, she was thankfully safe from it, since she'd heard it needed skin contact. It had glowed, the first time she'd picked it up, but it remained dead in her palm now.

It was an interesting little device, and even if she had no intention of sharing any of her energy with it, it was still kinda cool. And kinda pretty looking. It had seemed like a good idea to snag one, on the off chance maybe it would end up useful for something.

Approaching the corner of the building, Eros paused at the edge and peered down curiously, enjoying the vantage point to watch the people coming and going in the DC evening, intent more on their own business than looking up into the January sky to watch for eyes above them. There were no stars to be seen for the cloud cover, though there were few if any on a clear night in the city. It was something Eros had grown used to and never even thought to remark on. The city was always more comfortable to her than the more rural areas. There was more life here, more activity. She didn't know what she would do with the peace and quiet outside of it.

Cerussite was out on patrol, for what felt like the millionth time. He was still not used to this; still uncertain of his own strengths and weaknesses, he felt awkward and unsteady on his feet. But at the same time, Cinnabar had been so very encouraging, and he appreciated every second of her support.

He could do this. He could. He just had to keep reminding himself.

The rooftops were ideal for patrols. Cerussite could see down the whole of the city like this, and he rather liked being high up for a change. A chill breeze was rustling through the air as he made his way across the top of a building, causing stray strands to blow across his freckled face.

There was a power signature nearby; Cerussite felt the shift in the air, the rise and fall of it as he came closer. Not Negaverse, not dark and pure like his own - but brighter, clearer somehow, though he disliked thinking of it this way. He kept going until he saw her - a colorful figure at the edge of the coffee shop roof he'd just let upon.

Cerussite swayed slightly, his nerves fraying.

"Hello," he said quietly, almost hesitantly.

Hearing a voice out of no where was as startling as ever. After all this time, she was still not used to it. You never expected there to be anyone up on the roof... it wasn't the normal route for normal people, but then, it wasn't like magical people were real normal, right? And like every other time, Eros jumped at the call and spun, her heart racing.

"Woah, hey!" Immediately, her hands were up between them, palms forward towards the stranger, and she took a step back, her heels crunching in the roof top gravel.

The stranger dressed mostly in black, though there were bits of pink to his uniform that she could have found cute in another situation. If she hadn't recognized the look and the creepy feeling she suddenly had. He was a Negaverse officer, 100% sure, and that made her nervous. Thus far, there has only been one Negaverse officer who hadn't tried to do her bodily harm and she was not confident she would find another.

"Ah, um... Hi! I was just leaving. Not looking for any trouble, ok? I'm not here to fight anyone and whatever you're up to? I really could care less, so don't worry about that." And she sincerely hoped he wasn't wanting to fight either, because that was going to be such a downer.

She was so...bright. It was almost blinding. Cerussite stared at her, trying to figure out where all of that color even came from, and it felt like he almost needed sunglasses against the neon colors of her fuku and hair, which stood out in sharp contrast to the dim, shadowy night.

But he had to remember what Cinnabar taught him.

As the senshi took a step back, Cerussite took a step forward, his heart hammering in his chest. He hadn't summoned his weapon yet - it couldn't even really be called that, and the best it could be used for was simply jabbing someone in the side obnoxiously, which was embarrassing.

"I'm - I'm sorry," said Cerussite, and he sounded as if he was, taking another step forward. "Really."

Be strong.

And then he lunged, swinging his fist back and towards her.

s**t... He wasn't backing down, despite her very vocal reassurances. Whyyyyyy... She really didn't want to be doing this. Maybe someday she'd get it through her head and stop powering the ******** up, which seemed to be the whole issue. Why did that ******** cat even give her a pen in the first place?

Eros watched him very carefully, wary of any sudden movements from him.

Sorry? Really? Because sorry made everything okay, right? Just sorry and POW, right in the kisser?

The short woman squealed as he lunged for her, stumbling backwards as she threw her arms up to protect her face. She felt his fist connect and she hissed in pain as she spun ******** this s**t!" She gasped out as she stumbled and hit her knees hard, scrambling to get back up.

He had missed, which was to be expected. Cerussite lacked the physical strength necessary to carry through with his initial attack, and the power signature alone of this senshi felt stronger than his. But he couldn't back away, his fingers grazing the girl's arms instead of her face.

"Wait - "

She was trying to get away from him, but he couldn't let her. Cerussite stared after her, and then, because Cinnabar would have told him not to run from a fight, darted forward, ignoring the throb of his leg, the consistent pain beneath the medication that he had taken earlier.

He grabbed for her arms, trying to kick her shin.

Eros felt the agent reaching for her, sending a jolt of panicked fear lancing through ******** this s**t... She was not made for being a senshi. She was not made for fighting, and she was so tired of getting smacked around by these people. This guy and his whole organization could go to hell. Really and truly. After the attack on the train that had woken her up to this whole mess and nearly every time after that when she had run into one of these guys, they had been trying to hurt her. Eros, who had never hurt any of them, had never even tried to fight them. Had no intention of stopping them from doing whatever it was they were out to do and no intention of helping anyone fight back. And still, just because some cat had flung a pen at her, she deserved getting beat up on?

Fear sparked into anger and, in desperation, Eros lashed out at the red head with a sharp, jabbing punch at his face. She had no idea how to throw a punch or do any of that s**t you saw in the movies, but damn it... he needed to BACK OFF.
