My Senpai Noticed Me! emotion_kirakira 1) What would you want to see from the guild?Maybe, in addition to Splatoon, we got together and played other games...2) What would make you want to post more?I'm not sure actually. sweatdrop 3) Are the meetups and squidgames appealing to you or something else is needed?Maybe just normal battles would be nice. The only reason I don't join the squid games is because I'm afraid of doing something wrong that will get me banned like bringing the wrong weapon or splatting somebody when I'm not supposed to.4)Do you like the use of memes/ puns in this type of thing? They're inkcredible. whee 5) Do you like the choice of ink colors for all the different types of announcementsI guess so...6) Would you like to talk with other people through Voice Chat?I don't think I would, because I don't have a mic.

My Senpai Noticed Me! emotion_kirakira 1) What would you want to see from the guild? More of the same. The leadership is inkcredible. 2) What would make you want to post more? Probably nothing. I'm more of a lurker. 3) Are the meetups and squidgames appealing to you or something else is needed? The meetups sound fun, I'm just never able to join due to schedule conflicts. 4)Do you like the use of memes/ puns in this type of thing? Sure. 5) Do you like the choice of ink colors for all the different types of announcements Yes. Very thematic. 6) Would you like to talk with other people through Voice Chat? I've had mixed feelings about voice chat in the past. It really depends on how well the chat is monitored and if rules are enforced. Isn't it "Senpai"? Not sure of the spelling.

Perhaps there can be a random lottery every month or whenever there's a tournament or something where all participants are entered and someone wins a fancy item or gold.
Perhaps the S rank players can put together a tips guide for newbies or maybe just collect a bunch of useful tutorials and strategy videos on YouTube and make a resource for people looking to improve their splat skills.
Voice chat sounds cool.
Inactivity has been a common issue with guilds since the early days of Gaia. When the new admins took over and the site became focused around the cash shop, we started to get barraged with notifications and announcements and I think a lot of people just ignore those things nowadays. Couple that with how easy it is to get distracted here on Gaia since there's always so much going on and people just don't even think about guilds. I don't know how the others would feel about it but perhaps it would help if there were other methods and reminders like via Snapchat, Kik Facebook or Twitter to grab our attention about upcoming events.
As far as what you and the guild crew can do here on Gaia, it's important for you guys to also post often and keep the guild active. >_<; Like just now I went browsing around the guild and so many threads haven't seen responses in over a month. That can deter people from posting because they see few topics are active. But if you guys in the staff post often, I think it'll be more inviting.
Another suggestion would be to stop sending out free invites. Advertise and let people actually join - this way you know you've reached people who genuinely have interest in the guild and not just people with a Wii U who clicked "accept" because they were bored.
Whenever a new guild member joins, one thing I did years ago in my old guilds is reach out to that person either via PM or a profile comment. Welcome them to the guild, link them to the introduce yourself thread, remind or link them to threads about upcoming events, etc. That's always good for a new member because they might be lost when it comes to what to do first when they're in the guild.
o.o; Is there an ad banner for the guild for members to post in their sig to help advertise this place?

a lot of these questions are really irrelevant when it comes to why i don't participate in the guild more, really.
while i do appreciate you're trying to make the guild more active, i just don't see it happening with the way the guilds on gaia are set up. if i had like, a guild feed on my "my gaia" page, i'd definitely be more inclined to post in these threads and get more involved.
regarding meet ups, i've only ever attended one; the first one. i haven't been attending any other because of how the first one was set up. I felt that it was too difficult to actually effectively communicate with people in friend chat, so i believe that using a different chat client (i heavily recommend Discord) for when we do meet ups would be nicer. changing the times around would also be nice. my work schedule personally doesn't allow me to attend half of the meet ups even if i wanted to, i can imagine that others would likely have a similar issue. also guild announcements tend to get delayed when you send them out, at least in my case. i didn't actually get notified until 6 hours after the guild announcement was posted.
honestly, i'd love to play ranked splatoon with guildmates, but the only thread i see for that is completely dead with 0 replies. dedicating a forum to that would be nice, but again that falls down on me not being notified when someone posts or makes a new thread there. just inconvenient to me.
tl;dr, mostly i'm not active because of how gaia has neglected guilds more than anything else on this site. using something like skype or discord would make me, at least, more active in this community.

My Senpai Noticed Me! emotion_kirakira 1) What would you want to see from the guild? I don't see anything more that needs to be added. 2) What would make you want to post more? I'm not sure. I myself am not too big on posting my own threads, but I will definitely post in other member's threads if I find it interesting/appealing. 3) Are the meetups and squidgames appealing to you or something else is needed? The meet-ups are perfect the way they are. 4)Do you like the use of memes/ puns in this type of thing? Puns and memes are literally my entire being. 5) Do you like the choice of ink colors for all the different types of announcements Yes! 6) Would you like to talk with other people through Voice Chat? It would be fun to do so. I saw the TS3 server being offered up, though I would much prefer Discord as well. I can offer up my Discord server to use. It's going to be my streaming server, but I can assign roles specifically for the guild members, and allow them access to areas others can't access. But that's up to everyone else to decide; it's fine if you guys would either want to do the TS3 server or a new Discord just for us.

Maybe just normal battles would be nice. The only reason I don't join the squid games is because I'm afraid of doing something wrong that will get me banned like bringing the wrong weapon or splatting somebody when I'm not supposed to. So just turf wars? The thing is that can get boring real fast. Variety is nice and with ranked modes available you get some practice in without having to worry about deranking. It's more casual and way less stressful than normal ranked. You wouldn't get banned. We're pretty cool with everything and if we're doing something with rules we make sure everyone knows beforehand. Even if you make a mistake it's no big deal. Zolgear 3) Are the meetups and squidgames appealing to you or something else is needed? I've actually never played the normal ranked modes however, so now that I know my performance won't be graded I can join without any fear. I'll try my best to follow along with the rules. 3nodding

Genkai taught me well Perhaps there can be a random lottery every month or whenever there's a tournament or something where all participants are entered and someone wins a fancy item or gold. Hmm, we can maybe do something like that. Would have to figure out someway how though. The thing I like about tournament/contests though is that you earn the prize.Perhaps the S rank players can put together a tips guide for newbies or maybe just collect a bunch of useful tutorials and strategy videos on YouTube and make a resource for people looking to improve their splat skills. I kinda was working on a guides thread and there is some of that in there already, though it got no replies so I kinda stopped working on it.Voice chat sounds cool. Yeah, Gaia doesn't do much with guilds. I know that people have been wanting updates on them. Maybe we can remind people with those. I don't use any of those, but if enough people want that I could try. Or like maybe people can opt in for announcements via PM or something and we PM you to make sure you know?As far as what you and the guild crew can do here on Gaia, it's important for you guys to also post often and keep the guild active. >_<; Like just now I went browsing around the guild and so many threads haven't seen responses in over a month. That can deter people from posting because they see few topics are active. But if you guys in the staff post often, I think it'll be more inviting. Yeah, it's just hard for us to keep posting when it seems like no one else cares much. I get it though and we're trying. Sometimes we post a thread and it gets no replies probably due to the fact no one checks the guild often.Another suggestion would be to stop sending out free invites. Advertise and let people actually join - this way you know you've reached people who genuinely have interest in the guild and not just people with a Wii U who clicked "accept" because they were bored. Yeah, that was a problem. We just went on a spree of looking at Splatoon threads and inviting people that said they played hoping some would be interested and post. Like you said a lot of them just accept with no intention to post. How would you suggest we advertise? Are there other ways to go about that besides sigs, profile, shop?Whenever a new guild member joins, one thing I did years ago in my old guilds is reach out to that person either via PM or a profile comment. Welcome them to the guild, link them to the introduce yourself thread, remind or link them to threads about upcoming events, etc. That's always good for a new member because they might be lost when it comes to what to do first when they're in the guild. Sounds like a good idea. I'll start doing that. The guild is currently open for anyone to join. Should I set it to you have to fill out a thing to join? Would make it easier to keep track of and see that they're interested enough to say that they want to join.o.o; Is there an ad banner for the guild for members to post in their sig to help advertise this place? Yes. There are several banners in this thread. Only a few people are using them though. Should we give people an incentive to use them? Like a payment or so? Though bribing isn't something I'm a fan of and I'd rather people use them because they want to advertise since they like the guild.Replies in bold.

Sheepity a lot of these questions are really irrelevant when it comes to why i don't participate in the guild more, really. while i do appreciate you're trying to make the guild more active, i just don't see it happening with the way the guilds on gaia are set up. if i had like, a guild feed on my "my gaia" page, i'd definitely be more inclined to post in these threads and get more involved. There is a small feed if you hover on the Forums tab and click Guilds and on the side click our guild it'll show you 5 topics with the latest posts. I think that's the best thing there is. Too bad Gaia doesn't care about guilds much. What you could do is put a subforum in your bookmarks bar, but that still would require you having to check it.regarding meet ups, i've only ever attended one; the first one. i haven't been attending any other because of how the first one was set up. I agree, we probably should switch to a better chat. Was the friend chat thing the only complaint about the meetup? I've heard things about Discord, but never used it, I'll check it out. Yeah, the times should be changed around. The thing is we tried getting people to suggest times/dates, but no one ever really has so we've just stuck to what worked for us. How should we go about doing that? Maybe set a poll with all the days and most voted is the day we do? Do the same thing for time too? I don't really know a good way to do that. Ah, yeah. I think that is more of Gaia's problem. The thing says it's delayed about 20mins, but I guess it's not true all the time. What would a fix for that be? There already is the first announcement that is sent out about a day before. I feel that sending out a reminder announcement 6 hours before would just have people forgetting which is the reason why it's 1 hour. honestly, i'd love to play ranked splatoon with guildmates, but the only thread i see for that is completely dead with 0 replies. dedicating a forum to that would be nice, but again that falls down on me not being notified when someone posts or makes a new thread there. just inconvenient to me. Yeah, the whole idea of that thread was I thought the guild would be more active. I thought about that. So a subforum and people can just make their own topic saying they want to play? Have (open) in the title so people know you're looking. That is what one person has been doing at least. Yeah, a subscribe to a guild subforum or even a thread would be nice for updates. You can't even sub to a thread in guilds and you can for regular threads. Again Gaia not caring about guilds.
tl;dr, mostly i'm not active because of how gaia has neglected guilds more than anything else on this site. using something like skype or discord would make me, at least, more active in this community. Replies in bold.

Madame Lee 1) What would you want to see from the guild? Answer Game updates 3) Are the meetups and squidgames appealing to you or something else is needed? Answer every time there's one I am already doing some thing else or have already played for the day What do you mean by game updates? Like updates on what the map rotations are or like actual updates? Because updates with the patch notes have been posted before if that's what you mean. Would you want the day/time to be changed or something? Maybe an announcement days ahead so you know to not play the day of the meet? To not burn yourself out if you were wanting to participate that day.
