It had been awhile after the ball, and Altais had FINALLY been allowed to drive Dragonfly by himself. Crims had asked that he didn't destroy his beautiful ship and Altais had agreed.
But the Senshi wouldn't go anywhere else besides the planet that the ship was named after.
He landed the large metal ship in the spot on Denebola and then raced outside. He didn't think Elu would expect him, but that was the thing with space pirates right? They came whenever they could.
He tucked his hands in his pants and headed out towards her home.

Elu was exhausted, she'd spent the entire day allowing the consorts her chief had picked occupy her time. Begrudgingly she'd shown them around, given them a tour around the temple, shown them the the barracks and the mess hall.
By the time she'd been permitted to take her leave, there was nothing more that the redhead wanted to do except curl up in her bed and hide away from the world. But there was no rest for the senshi, there still duties to attend to. She had to check up on her little warrior trainees, secure the perimeter, feed her mount.
"Come on Citali," she murmured to her mouth, patting it's head tenderly as it leaned into her. "We should check on the girls," she mumbled scratching Citali's head before hoping onto the saddle.
The dragonfly had barely begun to lift into the air when she caught sight of a ship entering Denebola's atmosphere. Her brow furrowed, war paint crinkling in confusion. There were no ships scheduled to arrive, who the hell was on that ship?
Quickly Elu changed her direction and went straight for the port.

He didn't think he'd have to wait long for Elu to come. Something in his gut always told him when she was nearby, and he fancied that sometimes, they were good enough friends that he could read her thoughts. Sort of.
At this point, he figured she would see a spaceship land and come to explore // meet with, and while it was a ship well known to him, perhaps Crims hadn't had her on there a lot.
Instead of wandering too far down the path to her home, he waited until he heard the strong buzz of wings, telling him that indeed, someone was on the way.
Elu and her dragonfly most likely.

Citadel and Elu arrived at the platform the same time the ship did and she stilled her mount at the edge of the stone. Curiously, she unmounted, carefully stepping onto to the stone and towards the ship that looked familiar, but she couldn't be sure.
There was a tugging in her chest, a longing she wasn't aware she had until she had seen the ship. A fleeting hope shuddered through her and she dared to hope that it was Altais. She hadn't seen him since the gala and it'd made heart ache whenever she let herself think too much about it.
Luckily, between the suitors and her duties she hadn't had much time to dwell or wallow in her sadness.
Still, her breath was in her throat as she stepped cautiously forward, daring to hope.

Yep, There was Elu and her faithful companion, C...Chi...Chitasomething. Nailed it.
"ELUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" The senshi waved his arms wildly back and forth. Then he came rushing over.
"ELUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

Citadel seemed to bristle beside her when Altais screeched her name and came running over but his mistress's mood seemed to lift at the sight of the over-eager senshi and he settled down onto his belly, wings settling against his body as he waited.
"Altais?" The name escaped her in a breathless whisper. She stood there, frozen in shock, surprise, as if she thought she was hallucinating. No, he couldn't be there, it hadn't been very long--
but he was colliding into her and she gasped when her heart lurched happily. "Al!" She cried, clinging to his traditional garb like he might disappear if she didn't. "What are you doing here?"

He hugged her really tight once she was in his arms again and held on for a bit longer then he intended too. Regardless of it not being long, it had felt like years to him. Something, he thought, was troubling.
He was so excited though, and soon his thoughts were literally bursting at the seams. He couldn't contain them anymore.
"CRIMS." He boasted and then pulled back, "Gave me the ship! So...So I can go where ever I want. Its one of his favorites, so I gotta take the best of care, but I will anyways because-" He zipped his lips and then moved on, "Anyways, he gave me her, She's mine for now!" He puffed up.
"But....I didn't want to go anywhere but here, so here I am! Are you very busy?"

For the first time since the gala, Elu felt like she could breathe freely again and that terrified her because she couldn't pinpoint the reason. Still, there was a part of her that was whispering, Altais, it's Altais. She shoved the voice away and pulled away from him, stepping back so a respectable distance was between them like she just remembered her place and her duties.
"Oh, I thought the ship looked familiar." She took in the curve of the hull, the design curling up the mast. "Is that...the Dragonfly?" She remembered the day Tarren flew to Denebola to show her, bursting with pride, and she was surprised he'd relinquished control to inexperienced Altais.
Typical Crims.
"Al, I'm-- you know I'm thrilled to see you but--" she stopped, thinking about all the things she'd been doing and how another round of suitors was to arrive tomorrow. "It's complicated, we're due to get some special guests and the chief wants me looking my--" she frowned, shook her head and finished, "best. We're trying to secure the bloodline, protect Denebola in case I go missing again."
Elu wondered if he'd understand her hidden meaning.

"It is the dragonfly!" he said sheepishly, rubbing his neck. "Cause...You're special to me and special to Crims so he gave me the ship named after you to take care of. But I thought I would come here first and show you! I can take you where ever you wanna go, if you want to-"
Her comments made him stop and whisper a small "oh."
He frowned, brought his hand up to his chin and tried to-Securing the bloodline usually meant that they were trying to find her a suitable husband. Which meant that she was being courted.
Again, Something that didn't sit well with him.
"ah, I see." His frowned deepened. "I...I don't like that. It's like....Are they forcing you?" He let his hands fall, "I can't see you anymore?"

She was flattered, really, but she was unable to ignore the twisting in her belly that left her anxious. She should've known that Crims would've given the ship to Altais once he could fly properly, from what the knight of Saturn had told her-- Elu was all Al ever talked about.
I...I don't like that.
The admission made her heart beat out of rhythm and suddenly, Elu regretted saying anything at all.
"It's-- It's complicated," she said quietly, refusing to look at him. "They're worried about what might happen if I went missing or died in battle." She inhaled shakily. "It's-- who I marry, it's my choice but I'm expected to let interested parties court me."
It's exhausting, she wanted to tell him, but she clamped her mouth shut. He was already upset over it and she'd missed him. "No-- of course you can still see me, I wouldn't let them keep you from me Al." She wouldn't let them take her best friend from her. "It's just-- I don't have as much freedom now."
It seemed like it was the nature of her life, to be perpetually losing her freedom to someone else.

He brushed her hair away from her forehead and then laid a simple kiss there.
"They cannot take what you aren't willing to give them anymore!" Then he took her hand. "You are in preparations for them, aren't you? These suitors? What if we fly today. Anywhere you want?" He smiled at her.
"I will take you away if they take your freedom....I will never let them cage you." He said it with the utmost respect and with the utmost truth. He wanted to cling to her, keep her with him. They were a bond, deeper then any of the suitors would have. And he knew, that if he offered her more freedom, when would he be the one that suddenly caged her?
"But...BUT if you are happy, with one of these suitors, that would be okay too?" His smile dimmed a bit. "I want you to be happy, Elu."

"It's not--" Elu sighed, unsure of how to explain it to him. The duties that came with being senshi of Denebola were vastly different than his duties as the senshi of Altais. The star was her home, who she was, she couldn't just walk away because she felt trapped.
"I don't think that's a good idea Al, what if we didn't get back in time?" She was supposed to allow some noble from another planet court her tomorrow. "The chief would be--" she bit down on her bottom lip, lifting her chin to look at him.
She felt so conflicted. "Even if I wanted to run away with you, I couldn't. I left them once, unwilling or not, and it almost ruined them." It didn't matter what was best for her if it wasn't best for her home.
"I don't know if I'm happy. I mean, I guess I could be but I don't-- I don't know Al." She didn't want to be married to someone she hardly knew. "I want to be happy too but it's not about my happiness."

She was so troubled, and his usual grin faded and it was hard to bring her back up when he was having such conflicting feelings of his own. He didn't want her to get married, he wanted to go into space with her, he wanted to come back and laugh about adventures.
But underneath it all, he was more terrified of losing his best friend and so....
"I will stay here!" He offered. "I understand, Denebola is very important, so I can help you protect it. And if you decide you want a breather, then I am here to take you." he crossed his arms.
"We will find someone who makes you happy!" He said slowly, "You can have both. We will make it work. Maybe...Maybe one of these suitors will be just perfect for you or something." He huffed. "but if they hurt you, I will beat them up. Crims has been teaching me a little bit of fighting." in particular, sword training. Nuxaz Sorry, just totally went full Stardust mode. BBY TRISTAN

"You don't need to stay, I couldn't ask that of you," she replied quietly despite her strong desire to ask, beg him to stay with her. The days when he was gone were hard, like her world got a little dimmer without his sunny personality around to brighten her day. "You wanted to see all the cosmos had to offer when we first met."
It was strange, but comforting, to know that so much time had elapsed since they'd met. Altais was irrevocably a part of her life and she didn't think she'd ever be able to give him up.
"I don't know..." In truth, Elu didn't want Al knowing any of her suitors, admitting that she was getting courted at all had been hard. "And if you don't like them, or they don't like you, what then Al?"

"You are not asking, I am offering!" He smiled at her and then reached over and brushed a hand over one of her long hair pieces, placing it behind her ear. "It means nothing if I don't have my best friend to go with me. I don't need to see Cosmos. I want to be with you." He nodded. "I am the happiest with you, and that's all I need!"
Really, it was simple logic to him. He didn't want to go back to Altais. He felt nothing for the sand trap. Crims, he would still see every now and again. And with the ship here, if he felt like leaving, he could.
"Well if they don't like me, then I will just see you in secret or something!" He added, face going somber. "It doesn't matter if I don't like them? If they make you happy, then that's what I am good with! But if they hurt you..." He made a punch into his open palm, "I'll hire Crims to beat them up."
