Harmonia arrived on the small hill in which she and many others had first encountered Caedus. Tucked in her arms protectively was a book and a small tin which housed a sandwich which she had thrown together from left over turkey from dinner along with some chips and an orange. It wasn't much, but it was what she was able to sneak out of the house without her parents noticing. The book was one from her own collection and not something that anyone would miss. She herself had already read it.

Tentatively she looked around. "Um. Caedus?" She called softly. Green eyes looked about for the man. She really wasn't sure why she had decided to come when she felt so unsure of herself as a whole. Maybe it was his apparent need for help? His desire to return home? Harmonia wasn't sure, but at the moment it didn't really matter.

"I, uh, I brought you some food." She clutched her little bundle to herself. "And a book in case you needed something to help pass the time." She had no idea how the man was dealing with his solitude. She doubted she was the only one to visit but surely there was quite a lot of time spent by himself. Then again, with how much time he spent in the rift he probably had his ways of staying entertained.

None-the-less, she waited to see if he would appear. Curious as a kitten to learn more about him and his homeworld despite the small ball of anxiety that had nestled itself in her chest.

Initially, Caedus had been very well concealed under the shadows of a nearby grove of trees. He had been sitting—resting, likely, and was roused with the girl's voice. His eyes opened, slowly, casting an eerie golden glow from beneath his hood. They did little to illuminate his features, but they were a beacon for his location.

"I am here," he called, in a tired, gravely voice. He stood, tiredly. His joints seemed to have locked up a bit; his movements were jerky until he was on his feet. Then, they were just slow as he shuffled nearer to the girl. While he had insisted that he needed nothing but the energy, he was drawn by the offer of food. It had either been a mistake or a blessing when he had accepted the food during the meeting; he had not known how hungry was until they had offered it, and now he was ravenous.

"That was very thoughtful of you. You brought a book?" He cocked his head and eyed it.

The sound of his voice caused the young senshi to turn and catch sight of the golden glow of Caedus's eyes. It reminded her of a cats in a way, though his were obviously more than just a reflection of light. She wondered if it was normal for his eyes to be like that?

As he rose to his feet and shuffled towards her Harmonia frowned slightly. "Oh, you didn't need to get up." She moved to meet him half way. "If you're tired and all sit down. I don't mind. There's no need for you to push yourself."

A light breeze ruffled her hair and made her wish she had thought to bring a blanket as well for him. "Oh, um. Yes." She shifted the items in her arms and pulled the book free and stepped forward as she held it out to him. The paper back was obviously well loved with it's dog eared pages, worn spine, and roughed up cover. None-the-less the title 'The Fellowship of the Ring' stood out on the red and gold cover. "It's a fantasy novel. I would have given you a history book if I had one to give. I mean, I am sure you would have preferred something that you could learn from, but it's an entertaining read. I thought you;d want something to pass the time with. It's about a world called Middle Earth that is dealing with an evil who wants to take over the world." Harmonia paused then as she realized how oddly similar but not the book was to her life. Maybe it would hit too close to home for him? "I can bring you something else if you'd rather."

"I hope you don't mind that I came to see you." She murmured quickly.

"I do not mind," he insisted, but stood anyway. He could not help it; staying seated made him feel too small, to vulnerable. "Company is nice," he added, still attempting to reassure her.

"Your book sounds lovely," he added a second later. Expression still concealed, somehow he managed to seem as though he found the situation endearing. No smile was visible on his lips, but there was something that glistened there in his eyes, instead.

He was looking over its worn appearance and hesitated. "Are you sure you would let me borrow it? This book is dear to someone. To you? I would not want it damaged, or lost."

"Oh good." She smiled, the tension in her body easing slightly at Caedus's words.

At the cloaked man's hesitation at the book she held out she shook her head. "It's fine. I don't even expect you to return it." She took a single step towards him, book held out. "Books are meant to be shared. I figured being alone out here might get boring so I hope this will help."

She waited for him to take the book before also passing off the tin she had filled with food. "It's not much." She shrugged. "But it was all I could sneak out."

Hesitating she unconciously bit at her lip. She felt odd just coming here with gifts and hoping to get answers from the man. It almost felt like she was trying to bribe the man, but that wasn't her intention. Harmonia had really wanted to help the best she could, even if it was miniscule. Still, she had questions she was hoping he was willing to answer.

Carefully she pulled out a small bundle from her fuku. Unwrapping the cloth revealed the crystal that Caedus had given her. Already it was misty with the energy it had collected from her that first night. Since then though she hadn't touched it. "Um. You said these crystals could collect energy and would stop when someone passes out or if we loose contact with it. But when asked if they were safe, you said they were mostly safe. Were you just referring to the fact that they can draw until you fall unconcious or is there something else about them you didn't tell us?" She looked at the crystal for a moment as she rolled it around on the piece of pink cloth she had used to wrap it up in before looking back at Caedus. "I just want to know if there's any danger at all. Even if it's tiny."

"It is not much?" he prompted, looking at the tin. "It is more than enough. You have already been so kind." Even if she had come with questions.

But he did not seem to mind at all. Instead, he seemed to collect his thoughts and tried to word it as best he could.

"Sometimes the crystals are imperfect," he began. "All of the crystals I gave out were distributed from a crystal that was once much larger. I took great effort to cut all the crystals to that size. There may have been some imperfects. The larger they are, the more they can absorb. The more dangerous they become. I said they are mostly safe because if an accident happened, I did not want you to lose your trust in me. Accidents, unseen accidents, can happen. Even simple procedures sometimes go wrong. But I examined all of them and saw no abnormalities. Sometimes magic mutates. It usually takes a very long time. But I can say with certainty that I believe these crystals are safe. They should not harm anyone as they are."

Harmonia lifted the crystal up and looked at it more closely when Caedus mentioned imprefections, but her untrained eye saw nothing at all wrong with the crystal. So, she had no choice but to take his word that the crystals, in his eyes, were safe to use. She couldn't think of a reason that he'd lie to them about the crystals anyway. Gathering the energy was more of a service to get him home than it was to appease them. Well, Harmonia anyway.

"Then I'll make sure to give it some energy." She smiled and carefully stowed the ctystal back in its cloth for safe keeping. "I won't use it on anyone else though. I...I don't feel right doing that." It was too similar to the Negaverse for her liking, even if it was for a good cause. "I hope that's alright? I'll just make sure to use every day until you need it back. I am not sure how much it'll have by then, but it'll be something."

"I want to do what I can to make sure you get home."

"That is all right," Caedus affirmed. "I would not ask you to do anything you were not comfortable with. If they cannot consent or if you are unwilling to ask, you are doing me more favor than most still by providing your own energy. For which I am truly grateful for."

He sounded earnest, and relieved—and hopeful.

"I hope, one day, I can return this favor. What you are doing for me warrants you more thanks than words alone. If there is ever anything you need, I hope to find some way to repay you."

Harmonia smiled. "I am glad to help you get home! I know I'd like to get home if I was gone for so long. Especially trapped like you were." She paused for a moment her expression changing to something a bit more serious. "I really hope your planet is safe."

She glanced up at the sky for a moment as if searching the stars for something. Eventually she looked back at Caedus, her head tilted to the side slightly. "Um, I was wondering, if you don't mind talking about it that is. Why is your planet like? You said you have lots of crystals. Is the planet mainly made of crystals or is it something you have to farm from the ground? What are the people like there?"

Harmonia's usual curious nature was peeked. After all, she was learning about her own planet and was naturally curious about others, especially from someone who had lived on their planet when there was life there.

Caedus seemed pleased to answer; of all the questions he was asked, questions about his homeworld seemed his favorite. "I am sure my planet is safe," he assured, though his conviction sounded forced. He wanted to believe it, but perhaps the realization that most of the universe had been lost was setting in.

"My planet is beautiful. We do not have resources of our own. We had to collect them from other worlds. The core of my planet is held together by a great crystal, but it did not start off like that. We had a very small structure. Only a few dozen of us could fit onto it. We constructed it out of any materials we could find. Resources were slim, though. Once we were in space, we managed to find a few different planets. In the early days, I confess, we did not barter or trade. We stole. We took what scraps we could find. We took refuge on whatever world we could hide on, gathered materials and sustenance, and fled. We were at our lowest, but we did not need much. Slowly, we grew. And then, rapidly. We had several breakthroughs that afforded us much progress. Our tiny vessel soon became greater, and greater. It is the culmination of many years and many minds. Many lives. But it is the greatest thing we have ever done. We made our own atmosphere, even."

He seemed very proud of that.

"The first time I felt the wind on my face, the real wind…" He sighed, and closed his eyes. "The sound it makes against the metal is my favorite."

Nostalgia flushed through him, but his eyes soon opened again. "The use of the crystals aided us in crafting everything we needed. We have to import plants, but we have been making improvements in synthetics. My people are very hard working. We strive to make the ideal life and improve ourselves. We like to learn, and we like to create. We like to improve ourselves, and the world around us."

Harmonia's brows drew together with Caedus's story. How could he think a world built from stealing and destruction was a beautiful thing? It actually horrified her. Surely there could have been a better way to conduct themselves and grow?

"I...I don't know Caedus. A World built from hurting others doesn't sound beautiful." She took a step back from him. "I mean, I am sure it -looks- beautiful but, it just all seems wrong." She tilted her head slightly. "And, I know you said you created your world, but how can it be completely synthetic? Wouldn't that make it more like a ship than a planet? Atmosphere and all?" She wondered if it even had an orbit it followed or if it just floated around space on its own? Assuming they traveled from planet to planet, that seemed like the most logical answer.

The other question was, if he went home and found the planet desolate, would he try to bring it back to 'life' by attacking other planets again? Would he go so far as to attack Earth?

Realizing that her words may anger the robed man, Harmonia tried to backpedal a bit. "I don't mean to be rude about it. I just am trying to understand it all. A planet, created and being purely synthetic is not something I've ever heard of before."

Caedus tilted his head.

"Hurt from others? No," he shook his head. "I do not think we hurt anyone. We did not take anything that would be noticed. We did not want to attract attention to ourselves. We took raw minerals. Rocks, sustenance. We avoided area that seemed populated with life. We were on our own. We knew how dangerous that was. We did not want enemies," he tried to assure. "And we made reparations where we could, when we could. It took some time to build ourselves up to that point, though. I have never met a planet who was hurt by us. Believe me, though. If we had any other choice, we would have."

He seemed fatigued, as though just thinking of the matter were draining. "…The world we lived on before our own was not a good world. You must understand that. I suppose you could call our world a…ship. It certainly was when we were first starting out. But it is far too large to be a mere vessel. It is a world of its own."

He glanced to her once more. "I do not think your questions are rude. I appreciate the pursuit of knowledge. But I must ask, now. How do you define 'planet'?"

Harmonia wasn't sure. She hesitated with responding as she tried to understand where Caedus was coming from. Even if they didn't hurt anyone they were still, in a way, stealing from other planets. Sure, they may have tried and paid back what they took, but could they have possibly done that with every planet they had pulled resources from? Harmonia wasn't an expert on space, but she had her doubts.

She was about to voice her own thoughts on the matter when she noted how tired he looked. Closing her mouth from her judging words she sighed and instead focused on the new question he had thrown at her.

It was a good one. What did define a planet to her? What he had described had clearly screamed ship but why? Why was it different? She lightly chewed her bottom lip as she put together her thoughts and answer. "I think...I think a planet, to me anyway, is something organic. Something that's been there, organic, and is able to, or was in the case of some planets, support life on it's own." She shrugged. "I mean, I dunno..." She wasn't sure she could expand any further on that. She was still learning so much about her own homeworld and, in a way, she began to feel bad judging Caedus's.

"I am sorry." She said finally. "I really don't think I can define it anymore. It's just what I feel, here." She said, a hand moving to her heart. "But, you look like you could use some rest at this point." She offered the robbed man a light smile. "I hope I didn't offend you or anything tonight. I still have a lot to learn about, well everything."

Caedus offered a slight nod. "I am tired, but do not worry. You did not offend me. I can understand your reservations, it is only…"

He seemed lost in thought for a moment. "…I suppose you have a valid point. But all planets were once unlivable. They were all dust and potential, until something brought them together and gave them life. It is home to me, regardless of what title it has or what its composition is. But, home is home, and it is more of a home than I have ever known. But."

He paused, and then reached into his robes. For a moment, he fished around until he found an old, worn brown bag. He unlaced it and reached into it, digging around for a moment longer before he withdrew a small, glistening crystal. It was hidden in his hand as he tied the bag back up and returned it to its spot, hidden in his robes.

Finally, he held out his hand to properly display a smooth, polished crystal ring. It was a pale blue and maintained the same rich color throughout.

"I know it is not much, but…you mentioned rings, and…I hope this is an appropriate parting gift."

Harmonia nodded, her smile shyly returning with her agreement. She could understand where Caedus was coming from on his point of home. No matter what is was, looked like, or did, if it was somewhere you were comfortable and where family and friends were, it was a home. At least in her eyes. Destiny City, in all it's faults and the war waging within it would always be her home, even if she moved away. It was where she became who she was and where she knew her family would always be.

She was curiously as he withdrew a rather ragged looking bag form his robes. Eyes wide, she watched as he shifted through the contents to eventually withdraw something. Like a kitten her, curiosity peeked and she tentatively took a step forward to try and get a better look at what he was doing.

When he revealed his small prize eyes widened in surprise and delight at the little treasure in his hand. "It's so beautiful." She said quietly as she reached out to take the blue ring from him.

She held it up to better study it and was amazed at the smoothness of it and the vibrant color. Her eyes shifted back to the robed man. "This is amazing. Thank you so much." She beamed at him before slipping the ring onto the ring finger on her right hand. She was happy to find it fit as well as it did.

"Thank you for taking the time to talk with me, and for the ring. I hope you enjoy the book." She smiled brightly before leaning forward to balance on her toes for a moment before falling back onto her heels. "I should probably go so you can rest and I can actually go patrol some." Truthfully, she could stay to talk more but feared over welcoming her stay. Plus, she should really go and give her usual route a look around.

So with that in mind, the young girl began to walk away. Stopping to turn and wave at the man in a final farewell before hurrying off. Maybe if she moved fast enough and didn't run into any problems she'd be able to get a decent night sleep. That was a promising thought.
