So many things had happened in the dark of night up on that hill. A door had, metaphorically, been opened to them that seemed both a dream come true and a nightmare at the same time.

Phact had asked those around her during the event to meet her tonight. It had been as a chance to let them all rest and think through things.

It had also been an excuse for her to gather her thoughts.

So standing atop the hill gazing towards the East, the senshi of doves had not fully considered that their 'host' might still be there. Instead she had come to replay the events of the night and watch the sunrise.

"So many live in fear it comes as disrespect." She said to no one as she shook her head and gazed up to the sky as she so loved to do. Stars were beginning to fade as the night reached its end.

"A synthetic world. My how we have lost so much knowledge." Phact laughed to herself. "To forget the past is to repeat it. Especially when there is still so much to learn."

Her hand came through her hair. "I have to wonder what Beryl gained by turning on you, our guest." She spoke, not even sure if he was there or listening. "But she failed at her attempt on the moon only to be reborn with us...and now to find out she is locked away...I don't know if that seals her fate or not..."

It was a cold night; there was a light dew on the grass, but it had not snowed today. The clouds rolling in from the East were an indication that either very cold rain, or snow, could be expected in the future. Caedus had been aware of someone approaching, but his eyes had been on the sky. He did not want to lose sight of the stars so soon.

But she was speaking. Not to him, he realized, but to herself.

Slowly, he moved from the cover of the trees he'd accepted as his temporary safe haven. He kept his distance, but even in the dark shadows the trees cast, his glowing gold eyes were visible.

"Do you often come here to think?" he asked; his voice was softer now, but it was still deep and raspy. "…Or were you hoping for company?"

Her body visually froze. While Phact would have loved some company, she had not expected it. Especially not from someone she knew was not 'human'. It took a breath before her shoulders softened and she turned around to face him with one of her soft smiles. "I was trying to gather my thoughts from what all had happened."

Phact took the lead and slowly closed some of the distance between herself and him. However, she came no where near as close as she had seen others before. He would be the one to decide where he was most comfortable. "There was a good deal of information...history...passed in such a short amount of time. From you and others. I just needed some time to take it all in. It is a touch easier to do so where the events took place."

She stopped for a moment, an a breeze of silence went between them. "Caedus, is it?" Phact said softly. "Would you mind the company for a moment? I am known as Sailor Phact, the senshi of doves." With that, she gave him a polite bow of her head. "I know my rank makes me appear far below those who were directly around you this evening but if you don't mind..." She motioned that if he was still tired to take a seat. It did not bother her.

"I apologize if how load and chaotic things seemed."

He nodded when she tested his name. "I do not mind company, Sailor Phact. I would not judge you upon rank alone. Power comes in many forms, not all of which we can see."

He seemed rejuvenated, at least enough to stand before her. "You do not need to apologize. You are not responsible for them. Besides," he shrugged, rolling his tired shoulders slightly just under the weight of his robes. " It went better than I had expected. There was no violence."

His words made Phact smile. It allowed her to breath a bit easier as she nodded at his words. "To which I must admit, I am quite surprised. Too often some members of the White Moon have seem to favor action over words. "

He seemed well enough to stand. She would not insist too much unless she noticed his form sag once more. Something told her many others would be here for his 'care'. "Please, Phact is alright. No need to include the Sailor. It makes me feel like I should be on a boat at sea."

"But for your sake, I am glad people used their minds, even if some of us seem reserved. I have only seen three years on this side. Many have seen nearly six or seven. Our numbers have grown from my understanding. Newly awakened and those leaving the negaverus. Yet it still feels like a stand still..."

But her hand came up and she waved it off. "And here I bore you with these things. Our problems seem small compared to yours...and all for reassuring an age old treaty..." Phact shook her head slowly. "I know some about the history of the moon but never heard of any treaties. The history of the Earth is far harder to grasp. Things lost to us..."

"A shame. And so many of us don't care to remember. Before long, we will repeat it and someone else will end up in your place I fear..." Phact sighed now, looking for his eyes. "I don't want that..."

"Three years is no short amount of time. Though, I am reminded that Earth Years pass much quicker than those on my planet. You do not bore me. All problems are weighted differently. Unless they are the Negaverse. In which case, they are the worst problem, and should be dealt with swiftly."

Though, a monster a thousand years in the making did not seem as though it could be ended 'swiftly' when it had already had such a reign of terror.

"I will see to it that I will be the last to suffer this fate. At least at the hands of the Negaverse. Perhaps you will be able to keep a better history. You are at an unfair loss: Beryl has access to the Earth City's records. It would not surprise me if she has destroyed any incriminating information. Or wrote her own account of things. History does not always repeat. Things can change. Do not give up hope."

His words made her smile weakly. A man who had been trapped for so long, one who now depended on them, was telling her not to give up hope. "I needed to hear that. Thank you."

"But as we say, history is written by those in power. But, there are always two sides..." Gazing towards him, she leaned her head softly to the side and asked. "If it is not too much, may I hear more of what you remember? I will happily answer anything you might like to know about the changes here on Earth that I can.."

With that she left it open ended, not wishing to force if he did not wish...

With that, Caedus shrugged. "What I remember of the war is…faint. It was trivial back then. It was foolish. There was an arranged marriage, an affair. And they would go to war over it. They were willing to destroy each other for…"

He seemed at a loss. "For what? How far do you have to sink to want to destroy the lives of others? I remember other things, though. Before the affair. Everyone seemed so peaceful. This world has always been so different from my own. But I think it is the planet. The life on the planet. Perhaps it grows into you. The people here are so…emotional. For better and worse. I am sorry. I can ramble about the past. Did you have anything specific in mind? I do not know that I will be able to help you answer. But if you want to answer some of my questions…"

He was quiet for a second, thoughtful, and then asked, "What do you like most about this planet?"

Phact's smile grew and she had to chuckle. The way he rambled reminded her of herself when people brought up the topic of the war. Oh how had Sabine put up with her when she was still learning?

But his question shifted her expression and she was thoughtful for a moment. "What do I like most?" It was more said to direct her mind. It would be a breath before she spoke. "As you said, the life on the planet." Her hand came up and she motioned around them. "And not just the human life. The birds and fish. The trees and flowers. Everything here is so diverse and well...alive." The last part made her shrug. "I have spent enough time in the ruins of the moon kingdom to know there was once more life out there. Now...I think most of it has disappeared from the universe."

It was then she shook her head. "I will also answer what I know about your first question. What were they willing to destroy for? Love." She gazed back at Caedus to watch his reaction. "I did not know there was an arranged marriage. Might I assume that was between Beryl and the Prince then? I do know that a Prince of Earth fell in love with a Princess of the Moon. My guess is that is the affair then you speak of?"

Caedus looked sad to hear that. "The universe is full of life," he insisted. "Perhaps it is only avoiding Earth. Sometimes you cannot find what does not wish to be found. Perhaps there are wiser civilizations out there that simply avoid Metallia."

He seemed adamant that there could not be a shortage of life in the universe, but perhaps he was simply too stubborn to accept it.

He shook his head to clear his mind, massaged his temple and then shrugged. "No love should cause ruin like that, though. You are correct in your assumptions, though. The arranged marriage was between Beryl and Endymion. But they seemed friendly enough. I had thought there was even real feelings between the two. They did not look like an unhappy couple, but," he shrugged. "I suppose you can never tell who is wearing a mask."

Part of Phact felt for the male as he seemed down at her words. Both parts in all honestly. The later even seemed to cause him trouble to understand. Frankly it had bothered her as well. Two worlds thrown into chaos because of love?

"You really cannot. Especially when stories say that their love was already forbidden. Then that opens so many other ends. But needless to say, both appeared to put their hearts before their people." Phact shook her own head. "Endymion you say? I had not heard his name before this evening. It is nice to have another piece of the puzzle..."

"And I hope you are right about life avoiding Earth. To think death claimed more than just the planets, stars, and wonders you saw represented before you now..." Phact shook her head. It was hard to believe so many were once living on other planets...

"Something tells me your home was wiser. Especially since not one of us had ever heard of a synthetic planet before today. May I ask about it? It's name? What it was you needed from Earth?"

"Love cannot be governed. It is as much a crime as eye color. It is the actions you take that make it forbidden." He shrugged. "You could love anyone. But you must make a choice on how you act upon that. Endymion could have been a great King. Beryl might have been a great Queen. But I suppose that was not their lot in life."

He did not answer its name, but he did not seem to mind talking about it. "What would you like to know about my planet? I will answer what I can, but what you ask is not unlike me asking you to describe all the complexities and functions of Earth. I would not know where to begin. But if you have something specific in mind, I would answer."

"Then I apologize for the complicated question. I guess it is like love. Sometimes it doesn't seem like you can describe it. It just is. Beryl had her chance as Queen and chose a path that lead to darkness for many. Endymion...has not returned to us yet. Much like the Princess he loved. Three years ago we were told to find them...but already the world has been over taken by the Negaverus besides here...besides Destiny City." Phact seemed to shake her head as she gave a long sigh. "It makes me wonder if they have been reborn like all of us yet or not..."

She shrugged slowly but smiled. "Well, if you don't mind then, I'll start with something general: is it in our galaxy?" She asked with a smile before looking up at the stars above them. "I'm curious is maybe one of those might be it and we never knew."

"And how it was made. Planets like Earth they have dug into, learned the layers, and showed how gravity and forces created it. But a synthetic world...a made one." Her eyes came down and gazed back at him. "Was this the vision of one person?"

Caedis tilted his head when she mentioned reborn, but he did not inquire. Instead, he made a simple, "Hmph," noise, and made himself more comfortable so he could answer the rest of her questions.

"Sometimes we are in your galaxy. Sometimes we are not. We move. There are some things you cannot control. Orbits of other planets. Comets, asteroids. Meteor showers. Space debris. We go where we need to go. That is one of the perks of having a synthetic planet: there is no set course except for the course you set. But," he glanced up to the sky for a second. "I have not seen any sign of my world yet. It is possible we are presently very far away."

He shrugged; he did not seem alarmed.

"This was the vision of many people. We came together to create it. We took what resources we had and utilized them into something new. Once, we were much smaller. We were but a speck of what we are now. But as time passed, we grew larger. We amassed more materials and we learned how to utilize them. Crystals hold many amazing properties," he mused, drawing his robes closer.

She could see the movement in his fabric but Phact could not tell what caused it. Something she said but what, she did not know. Instead it was her turn to fall quiet and listen.

At his words, she nodded. "That they do. Even here on Earth many believe that they have the abilities to help each aliments and gives strength. Nothing like what you have given us though. A crystal to house energy. Very interested Mr. Caedus." She said again with a smile. "I take it they took care of functions we have something like...electricity for lights."

"Did your crystals then allow you to grow plants and trees?" It was now she was remembering her research going on above them. "Especially on a world that moved and thus you never had the same conditions. I assume you had some sort of controlled means?" She looked at him with some interest.
