It is the daytime and the playground is bright and ready to be explored by young minds. It is a large play area that has most anything you could imagine for children to run, jump, climb, spin, tug, crawl, swing and slide. The playground is lined in sand and the playground, though a little old, is very sturdy and well-kept. There is also an oning with some picnic tables nearby, definitely within view of the whole playground for parent/caregiver/babysitter characters may sit to monitor the children at play.

Melody seemed slightly apprehensive about playing at the playground without an adult. In fact, she had always been doted on by adults constantly until her arrival at the academy where she was suddenly thrown into a world of independence even as a toddler. However, Leukos was always by her side every step of the way. She looked back at him, she trusted his judgement more than anything as she searched his face for what to do next. She stood just shy of the wooden planks that kept the sand within the play area.
Leukos scanned the area, it seemed like they might actually have the whole place to themselves. He shoved a hand into his pocket and shuffled around for a folded piece of paper. "Uhh... " he shoved his free hand into his other pocket and fished out his cellphone and looked at the time. "Yeah, we're a little early. But hey, that means we get first pick! Right, Mel?" he grinned confidently, putting the flyer back in his pocket. He moved to stand next to Melody and reached his hand to interlace his fingers with hers. "Have lots of fun, okay!" he smiled wide and let go of her hand, starting into a run as he climbed the stairs of the jungle gym quickly, determined to get higher.
Melody smiled brightly but then it faded a bit as Leukos ran off to play. She gently brought herself up into the sand, and looked for what she wanted to play first. Walking over to the steps up into the massive play structure, she grasped the railing tightly with both hands as she slowly made her way up the steps. Melody looked around for Leukos but she couldn't see him from where she was. She scaled another stair and thought about what she might do when she reached the top.
