It is now the evening, the sun is slowly beginning to set as the ballroom has been set up with numbers tables. Some soft music plays just to keep the mood from awkward silence. There are areas to stand as well for those who aren't interested in sitting down. There is a sign at the door that invites Metas in to come and meet everyone. There is food and drink at long tables against the wall. There is no alcohol at this particular event though it seems there would be an easy accomodation for such things if they had decided to have it. The setting is very casual, as the decorations are professional but lively.
[This thread is a Meet & Greet Event Thread for Adult and Teen Metas.] (Anyone with certed Metas may enter this RP at this time.)

Delilah sighed, blank-faced as she stood near the wall, hands placed together in front of her. She had honestly seemed to zone out a bit, not exactly wanting to be there in the first place. She hated social gathering and meeting new people. Her speech impediment made it very hard for her to be vocal about anything and so she normally chose not to speak. Though, maybe the whole thing wouldn't be so bad, most of the adult Metas that would probably attend the event were Metas she already knew. That thought relieved her.
Headmaster Rhun was finishing up a phone call in the hall as he finally entered, looking around the ballroom to make sure everything was in order. It was just about time for people to arrive and everything was going surprisingly well. He caught a glance at Delilah and approached her. "Are you okay?"
She chose to ignore his question, choosing to retort with another question. "Y-you look... u-unphased. D-Did you even r-read my note on y-your desk?"
Rhun shook his head and chuckled. "I can always read that later Delilah, we aren't exactly working right now. We are here to relax and have fun. So let's worry about that after." he commented with a smile and walked off to grab a few strawberries from the fruit on the table and moved on to check out something else, more micromanaging surely.
Delilah seemed concerned as she opened her mouth to say something, but he had already spoke and fluttered off elsewhere. She sighed even deeper but internally shrugged. If he was going to be this careless about the knowledge of the attendees, maybe he deserved to be in the dark about it. She folded her arms lightly and remained standing by the wall quietly.

Kreios had taken his time getting ready for the evening. He'd needed to reseal his sigils, which took quite a bit of effort over the spread of several hours. When he was finally ready, he dressed up a little nicer than usual and then made his way towards the ballroom the get together was supposed to be in. Hopefully he would get to meet some of these other residents that seemed to be very.. very elusive.
He pushed open the door, just enough to fit himself inside, and then closed it behind him. It seemed that aside from Rhun and Delilah, he might be the first to arrive. Well then. He nodded a greeting to the girl - still maintaining his distance. Even if Rhun had insisted that she wasn't a danger, he wasn't exactly keen on risking it.. Well then. He wasn't quite sure what to do for now...
---
Silas wandered in a few minutes after Kreios' arrival. As per usual the sleepy teen seemed barely aware of where he was, let alone capable of holding much of a conversation. He surveyed the ballroom, red eyes half-lidded. He stifled a small yawn, hand in front of his mouth, wings stretching a little - he should see if he knew anyone here...
Another scan of the room told him no. He didn't... Just Delilah, but he'd met her the day before when he arrived on sanctuary grounds. Still, he might as well say hello, it was only polite. He moseyed over in her direction, path swaying side to side as he had difficulty walking in a straight line. "Hello Delilah...~" He smiled sleepily and waved a hand in greeting.

Rhun had been tending to some kind of list on a clipboard, hand to his chin as he careful looked over it with a concentrated look. His eyes glanced up for a moment, and he double taked to notice some people had arrived. Another adult he felt he should have remembered them but couldn't place it. That Meta had already made his way toward Delilah and so Rhun figured they must have been childhood friends or something. The other person to arrive took a bigger interest in his mind as he smiled, set down the clipboard and walked over gracefully. "I'm glad to see you made it." he commented with a light-hearted grin. Rhun ran his hair through his slicked back hair and took a glance back over to Delilah for a moment before returning a gaze to Kreios. "She really won't hurt you, you know. Well, I mean, she might slap you if you're a jerk to her. But other than that, she's pretty harmless." he chuckled lightly, making a rubbing motion on his own face when he mentioned to slap as though to insinuate a personal experience regarding the matter.
---------------------------------
Delilah smiled brightly out of politeness and waved at Silas. "H-hello Silas!" she greeted back. "H-how are y-you feeling t-today?" she was quickly getting used to being cordial with others. A front of hers to look like the childish person she had always appeared to be. It was much easier to pretend than to answer questions about why she always looked so bored or unamused. Delilah debated on whether she should take her mask off for this occassion. It's not like the mask actually did anything, it just somehow made her feel a little less self-conscious about her speech. She sighed, and carefully removed her mask as she folded it up gently and placed it in her purse. She then smiled again, now that people could see it. "Syth h-hasn't showed up y-yet... B-but I'm s-sure she'll be here s-soon."

Ah, and there he was. He nodded a greeting to Rhun as he approached, then glanced over at Delilah... "I know, but instincts say to stay away regardless." He smiled slightly, juuuust slightly - enough for the corners of his mouth to turn up. "Speaking from experience, then? I hate to imagine what you did to earn a slap." He snorted softly, and shook his head a little. "I take this has only just started?"
---
Silas, being the unobservant fellow he was, did not notice that her outward appearance was entirely for show... he legitimately assumed that she was actually happy to see him. After all, why would she lie? "I'm alright...~ Thank you for asking....~ How are you...?" He tilted his head slightly, speech slow and soft as he seemed like he might fall asleep right then and there. He blinked slowly, as if trying to recall someone by that name... oh, yes. "Oh,... it's alright...~ I can't imaaaagine she'd.... want to see me...~" He shrugged and sighed softly, almost whimsically. In the 20 years he'd been away he'd learned to... maybe not forgive but at least accept the neglect he'd gone through... Syth was just another person to him, now.
"Diiid... I get here too early~?" He looked around the room again, noting that only two other people were present.

Rhun felt honored that he was graced with even the slightest of a smile for Kreios. It was a start. "I can see that, she's got that kind of aura about her I guess." he didn't know if she truly had a literal aura like that since he couldn't see or feel auras. Though, he did know she was capable of giving off the feeling like she wanted to be very alone at times. Maybe that's what Kreios was talking about. Rhun laughed, a little harder than intended. "I guess you could say that. It's a long story that I can tell you later. It's not something I can say since her grudge was kind of with someone else." he commented, smirking a bit to punctuate what he was trying to say. He looked around for a clock but couldn't find one, then reached into his pocket to pull out his phone. "Hmmm.. Yeah, it just started. It seems there's already people arriving, so I don't imagine it would be long before more people show up." he responded then shoved his phone back into his pocket.
-----------------------------------
Delilah continued to smile. "I'm a-alright. N-not good at s-social outings. B-but I should b-be fine." she answered his question half-honestly. Silas would probably not looked too much into her comments and felt a little more relaxed to divulge a little more than usual. She frowned as Silas talked about Syth. Maybe he was right. She regretted bringing it up. Delilah had grown up with Lucian for a time since their parents had abandoned them. She was conflicted by her feelings since she never hated either of them. Maybe they were just too young to have had children. It had spearheaded her decision to never have children. She didn't want them to feel unloved like Silas or Lucian had felt. She shook the thought and replaced her frown with a smile again. "Well,.. m-maybe you c-can see L-lucian?" she offered, though she didn't expect a different answer. They were blood brothers but they hadn't seen each other since they were very little it seemed. She sighed a little. "Oh, y-you're not t-too early. Y-you are j-just on t-time." she smiled softly at him.

"She does." He nodded, tone indicating that to him, she definitely did have some sort of aura field that was keeping him away. "I see, well, if you care to share then I will listen." He eyed the phone, then glanced over at Delilah and... whomever it was she was talking to. He seemed... different. He narrowed his eyes, examining his wings- ah. Feathers? On demon wings? "Is that the last person you were arranging housing with?" He tilted his head, and looked back to Rhun.
---
"Oh, I see...~" His smile changed to one of sympathy, he could understand not being good with social outings... He wasn't particularly good at it, either. Too slow, too tired... Well, more like he seemed too tired and too slow. On some days he really was wide awake and alert, but try as he may, he never seemed to come off that way. "Luci...?" He tilted his head, wings fluttering a little as he thought...
"I haven't... seen Luci since we were toddlers, I think~" He sighed and shrugged a little. "It's alright, Delilah~ I know I don't reaaally fit in with them anymoore~. I haaaven't in a loooooong time." He shook his head, though he did appreciate her efforts. "I was adopted anyway~ though I lost track of everyone... hmmmm..."

Rhun looked over to the person in question, the puzzled look on his face not even hidden as he narrowed his eyes to see if he could once again recognize the Meta. "Well, no. Delilah must have greeted him. Though, I feel like I should know him. From my past anyway. But I can't place it." The memory still wasn't coming to him as he sighed and returned his gaze at Kreios. "The other person.. " he paused, trying to come up with a better term for Deskri than what they were. "He's a dear friend of mine." he finally decided on.
You're so bad at this.
----------------
Delilah let out a very short laugh of embarrassment. "I-im sorry, Silas. I d-didn't mean to m-make the conversation a-awkward." She bowed her head a little in apology. She really wasn't good at social interactions with other, especially in the small talk department. She thought about how it would have been if someone had brought up Daemin to her. It would stir up odd feelings within her to think about it and at that point didn't honestly know how she felt about her father who had abandoned her so long ago. Her face brightened as he mentioned he had been adopted before by someone. "T-that's good!" she chimed with a bit of delight. Then she frowned lightly. This conversation was such a rollercoaster that she was having a hard time keeping up what emotion she should be displaying. She sighed. "M-maybe I c-can help you f-find them?" she offered. If the paperwork had gone through the academy, she could surely find the information easily and from there find out possible locations to find those people. She just had to know who.

"Is that so?" He quirked a brow, then glanced over again at the... hybrid? boy speaking with Delilah. "Perhaps you should find out his name, it may ring a bell." He shrugged, once again returning his focus to Rhun. "Will he be attending, then?" He of course meant this 'dear friend' that Rhun had. He imagined whomever it was was likely to either avoid the place altogether or come in soon.
---
"It's okay, Delilah...~" He shook his head, then reached up to stifle a small yawn. "Perhaps...~ I know one is dead already so there's no use with that...~ But we lost track of Deskri shooortly after returning here when the school closed...~" He sighed, almost sadly. "I didn't reaaaally get to spend much time with him buuut~ I suppose he's teeeechnically my brother~..."
---
He had debated for hours on whether or not he wanted to go to this... There would be people there. Lots of people, potentially. The idea of it made him sick. Nauseous. He'd thrown up at least once during his internal debate. But... he'd decided to come in the end. He'd want him to be there.
Nervously he opened the door to the ballroom - it had been ages since he'd been here - flickers of memories flashed in his head... the first time be'd been here, the Halloween ball - he'd met Sonnet and Rasiel for the first time. Terrible things had happened here, too. He hesitated before slowly sliding into the room, and then immediately slid along the wall to a dark corner - melding himself in with the shadows so that he appeared, at most, as a dark silhouette that seemed a little too real. Breathe. Everyone here was a Meta, right? This place was safe, right?

Rhun thought about it. He'd either remember soon enough or he'd eventually talk with the boy in question. There was a whole evening at their disposal. Even if he missed the opportunity, Delilah obviously seemed to know him and Rhun would merely ask her later. His attention was grabbed by the question, his mouth twisting lightly to ponder the idea. Would he really show up? "Your guess is as good as mine, honestly. He's not that social of a person but he might feel... I don't know,.. obligated?" he sighed. Deskri was a very complex person and honestly who would know what reactions you got out of him these days. He chuckled, "I wouldn't be surprised if he was already here lurking in a corner somewhere." his chuckle turned into a bit of a laugh then ended with a deep breath to compose himself, still with a smile.
-----------------------------------
Delilah listened to his words, then perked up as a familiar name came up in the conversation. "Deskri?" she blinked curiously. She nodded. "He's a lot closer than you think, Silas." she smiled as she leaned a little closer, cupping her mouth to whisper into his ear, being extra careful not to touch him. "D-deskri... already c-came to the s-sanctuary. H-he's here on the g-grounds now!" she divulged almost excitedly. She leaned back to a normal distance from Silas and smiled brightly at him.

Welp here she was at the meet and greet. Its only been twenty years since she set foot in anything related to the metamorphosis academy. You know, she's only be meeting frenemies who only thought god knows what of her. One of her four children who she's been entirely missing out on for the last two decades. Or, better yet if she came across her grandson.
Honestly, being here was pretty scary. The past was about ready to quickly catch up on her and bring her to the modern day. Haaaah she doesn't ready for this. Standing awkward and nervous, not ready to even speak up to anymore. Jeez.

Rhun's smile suddenly faded as he noticed someone else enter the ballroom. His eyes locked on the purple-haired female Meta. "Oh s**t." he blurted out under his breath without thinking. He glanced around the room to make sure that Deskri hadn't shown up yet and didn't immediately see him. Good. At least he could attempt to assess the situation as it played out. He blinked, recomposing himself as he glanced at Kreios with a hint of nervousness that quickly faded within his poise. "Excuse me, I need to talk to someone." he spoke softly, very direct, as though very focused on her. He began to walk over towards Syth, donning his usual winning smile as he intended to greet her. "Hello, I am Headmas-.."
"Seriously, Andy?! You can't just walk in there like that!" a male voice rang out from the hallway.
"b***h, watch me!" the door flew open as Andy kicked it in, a wild grimace on her face as she looked like was ready for either a party or a fight. The tall, slender Meta had arrived wearing only lingerie. A lacy black bra and matching panties, ripped thigh highs, held up with a garter belt. She scanned the room and her face turned into a pout at the disappointing size of the gathering. "Well, don't I feel a little out of place.." she commented then erupted into laughter.
A man hurried in behind her as he look very irritated with what was transpiring. "SERIOUSLY?!" he shrieked as he was carrying some clothes, and immediately pulled a shirt over Andy's head.
"H-hey! Is that any way to treat your mother?!" she struggled against him as she was reluctant to become more clothed.
Lucian seemed even more angered by her comment as he shoved her towards a corner. "Quit telling people that! You're not my mother! My mothers were classy unlike y-.." he paused, locking eyes on Syth as he dropped the skirt he was holding. "M-mom?" he was froze in shock. He hadn't seen her since he was an toddler. Before he knew it, he was already hugging her tightly. He hadn't even realized he had walked up to her.
Andy pouted angrily, as she snatched up her skirt from the floor and put it on. Not that the clothes she had on now covered much more than she had already been showing. She eyed the males in the room. Her eyes falling upon a tall one with horns, he looked like a lot of fun. She made her way toward him. "I don't think I've ever seen you here before. My name's Andy Broken. What's yours?" she smirked, placing a hand on her hip and shifting her weight onto one leg.
Rhun wasn't sure to continue or to leave it to them to reconnect and find another time to introduce himself.

Words just failed Syth. Honestly, is that what Lucian married? She could only imagine the trouble her grandson could be. A demon in his own regard most likely. Her mind catching up with the last few moments, slowly lifting her arms to wrap them around Lucian's waist. Hugging him back, her eyes looking at Andy as confused as she's ever been about someone else.
Welp, by the way Andy was acting he... you know what Syth had no idea what to make of this person.
'Please tell me you didn't have a child with her' Would be the first words Lucian would hear from her mother after twenty something years.

"Very well." He blinked, watching Rhun as he approached the newcomer... A woman with angelic wings, bearing a single horn in the center of her forehead... Well, perhaps he'd figure out who was who and what they were eventually... for now, he was going to get some punch...
Or at least, he was, until the scene erupted in the blink of an eye. Honestly. All he could do was stare, stone faced, at the two Metas who literally burst into the ballroom. If he didn't have a need to sort out who was who he'd leave. Immediately. These were not the sort of people he enjoyed being around - especially the woman. But oh, of course, she marched right on over to him.
He regarded her with a cold stare, face devoid of any emotional reaction, though if one was paying attention they might notice the slight irritated flick of his tail. As much as he didn't want to speak to her, it was rude to ignore her. Plus, the more information he found out about her, the more he could read into who she was.
"Kreios. I am a new arrival." A monotone response, as usual. She would not be getting much reaction out of him. "I wager by your greeting that you are not."
---
"He is...~?" Silas's sleepy eyes widened a little in a rare display of excitement. He hadn't gotten to know Deskri well, but family was family, right? And Deskri had been kind enough to help him a little with Whisper when she was still around, and even asked Sonnet to teach him how to read... He glanced around, sort of hoping that he'd be there--- even if he'd already checked the room.... but his search was cut short when his gaze landed on Syth.
Nana.
One of two absent parents.
How... did he feel about this. He blinked slowly, expression going unusually blank in comparison to his usual sleepy smile as he tried to sort out his own internal conflict. He didn't have much time to do so, since the doors swung open as not one, but two more arrivals came in. One of which he recognized.
Luci.
Delilah was right. He brought his hands together, lacing his fingers as he shuffled his weight from one leg to the other. It had been a long time since he'd felt this anxious. Lucian was an adult now. He was still a teen. He was hugging Syth --
and he wanted nothing to do with them.
Was he bad for wanting that? A small distressed sound worked its way out of his throat, though he couldn't bring himself to move from where he was standing, or even look away from the display of affection going on before him.
---
This was, quite possibly, one of the worst ideas he'd had this week. Why, oh why, did he come here? Rhun was busy - talking to some incubus he didn't recognize. Delilah was busy, talking to--... Was that Silas? Oh, oh god, it was Silas. He swallowed, shadowed form wavering slightly to reveal him for a split second as he grappled with his emotions. He liked Silas - but felt guilty for losing track of him.
But of course, the other person who'd come in was none other than Syth. His mind flew into a panic - old memories of old grudges surfacing - would she be safe to be around? Did she harbor the old grudges? He was too tired to be angry - too tired to care anymore. He didn't even have enough time to process that before the doors flew open again - two more loud people. Two more.
His power failed him, completely exposing him to the room. Andy - he remembered Andy...He remembered not liking Andy... and Lucian, he remembered him vaguely but not enough to have formed an opinion. God, what should he do? There wasn't a single person in this room he could go hide near for comfort.

Lucian blinked with immense confusion at the question then looked to Andy. "Oh god, no." he shuddered. He then began to chuckle at the idea. He'd sooner throw himself off a bridge than to have had a kid with Andy. "My late wife's name was Kira. To no actual relation, Andy's younger sister." he explained. So Syth had already heard about him having a kid with someone. "He's a sweet kid. I don't know if you've seen him around. I haven't actually seen him myself in almost 5 years now." He smiled at Syth, he was filled with so much joy to see her again. He backed up to give Syth a little space. "Sorry." he apologized suddenly, realizing that he had been pretty close to her. He met eyes with Silas, he wanted to greet him in the same manor, but he seemed uncomfortable. Lucian felt guilty instead of excited now. He was conflicted, he hadn't seen much of Silas even when he was a kid, but he knew for sure this was his brother. He eyed him carefully, trying to read him enough to get a feel for what to do.
Rhun glanced over and saw Andy had approached Kreios and was trying to talk to him. "Seriously?" he muttered under his breath as he tried to make a decision quickly on whether to assess the Broken reunion happening in front of him or Andy trying to seduce someone who would probably make her mad enough to start a fight she couldn't win. He sighed with exasperation. This was going downhill very quickly.
--------------------
Andy tilted her head to the side in interest as she smirked a bit more. "Yeah, I grew up here as a child. A daughter of one of the scientists." She shifted her weight more to accentuate her curves. "Been out of the game a while, but I'm interested in knowing more about you, if you get what I mean." she swayed a little, smiling at him.
--------------------
Delilah eyes widened slightly in surprise and frustration. This was getting overwhelming quickly. Andy was stirring up trouble, Lucian and Syth were making Silas obviously uncomfortable, Rhun was choking up and probably wouldn't last long in composure at this rate, and she noticed Deskri had apparently been there for some time as she could now see him.
She took a deep breath and calculated what she should do to salvage things. Kreios and Andy should be fine. He didn't seem at all interested and if he ended up causing her to storm off, the better. Rhun needed to get his head out of his a** if he wanted to properly make sure that family reunion didn't turn volatile quickly. He was closest to Syth and Lucian. So that left either Deskri or Silas to attend to. Deskri seemed uncomfortable with everything, but Silas had mentioned being some form of close of him, so that would have to do. Delilah reached down and grabbed Silas' hand carefully. "C-come on... l-let's talk to D-deskri. I k-know it might b-be awkward... b-but it's quieter o-over there." she offered as she pulled him toward Deskri and cut off any path of Deskri leaving. She looked concerned at Deskri, but pleading with her eyes for him to stay. "H-heyyy D-deskri. I h-hope you're f-feeling better." she almost cooed, she was trying to be as soothing as possible, letting him know that she didn't intend any harm and wanted to keep things calm and under control. She kept her peripheral vision on the other conversations just in case she needed to jump in. "I-i'm glad y-you came. L-look, I f-found a S-silas!" she joked a bit, doing anything to bring down the tension. She held out her hand toward Deskri for him to take if he wanted to but she didn't expect him to.
