⊰ Biography ⊱
Born and raised by two parents who featured often in major Kabuki theater performances, it came to no surprise to anyone that Chouyu would be destined for a life in the light. Unlike other traditional children feeling as though they were overwhelmed by their parent's expectations, Chou actually felt quite confident in herself since she was young, always having an optimistic and determined attitude about everything. Her idol career didn't start until she was a little on the older side at 15, making sure she was done with all of her schooling before signing a contract. With this, Chouyu was transformed into Chou-Chan, the Butterfly Idol. Originally a member of a girls' group, it didn't take long for the fans to flock at her merchandise more than the other girls'. Upset with this, the group disbanded, and Chou became an independent idol artist at 19. She's been able to keep up her career for the past four years mostly due to the constant trend of "cute faced girls" that seems to be going on in Japan at the moment. She plans to take full advantage of her idol career while she can, knowing it's a fleeting career that she'll have to trade away some time in the distant future.
