If there was any race of Daydream that Mytrax could manage to maintain a civil attitude with out of genuine desire to be civil, it was the Fey. Which was fortunate because it just so happened that she had a paired Science project with one. The chimera had to remind herself, repeatedly, that in certain ways their races could relate. They both had not wanted to participate in the war. They both had wings and flight was an important part of their lives. They both were attending multi-racial academies.

Yes, this could work. There was absolutely no reason for Mytrax to be upset with her partner for being a daydream. Not when behavior, performance, and punctuality were so much more compelling reasons. When (she glanced at her notes for her partner's name) Aloe stumbled into the classroom looking lost and confused, the chimera stretched out one wing to draw the fey's attention before saying in a modulated voice, "Aloe, over here."

The chimera nodded in confirmation that she was, indeed, Mytrax. She waited for the Fey to settle down beside her before she brought out her notebook. She'd already written down possible projects, "I have a list here," she began, angling the notebook so that Aloe could see what she'd written down.

"There are pros and cons on each project but nothing too difficult to the point completion is impossible," she began, the tip of her pen pointing to each proposal as she went down the list. "These are all just suggestions," Mytrax said, "After all we're supposed to work on this together," and she paid special emphasis on that word, "So your input is still important. If you have any ideas not listed, I'm all ears."

Mytrax jotted down the fey's suggestion and gave her own opinion, "Plants might prove difficult given the current Solstice weather, but we could go to some of the local greenhouses near the Academy." She wasn't entirely against the idea but she saw the downsides to it. "What exactly did you have in mind?" she raised her head to glance at Aloe and noticed the closed posture of her project partner.

At the declaration of not leaving the chimera to do all the work, Mytrax's brows furrowed, "I should hope so because I am not the sort who will carry my partners should they choose to blow me off and slack off." She didn't sound angry or offended, just simply stating the facts.

Mytrax was quite unaware of the fey's growing animosity towards her. The chimera was too focused on finishing with her writing down of Aloe's ideas. In fact, Mytrax wasn't even aware she was making the fey uncomfortable at all. As far as she was concerned, she was merely being professional and upfront in letting the daydream know about her standards.

"Most greenhouses in Below make use of sunlamps already. The plants that can't grow without them don't survive outside of these structures. How about we involve your race's affinity with plants?" she suggested. "We can make use of a control plant, like you suggested, and purchase some seeds and seedlings of flowers and vegetables."

The chimera paused in thought, "That is, if you don't object to making a demonstration in front of the class. I mean, I know not everyone is comfortable with the idea of talking in front of a crowd. If you prefer to do something else, I'll understand."

Mytrax made a note to make cue cards for Aloe during their presentation. As well as scheduled a few hours in order to practice their spiel. So far, things were looking good for their grade and Mytrax had to admit she herself found their topic interesting.

"Talking to plants?" she said thoughtfully. "Does that really factor in their growth or is actually your race's innate affinity at work? I've tried talking to my plants before but they didn't seem to be affected. I mean, I may not have a green thumb," and here she paused before glancing down at her hands, "Figuratively that is, but my plants didn't seem to fare any better or worse for my babbling."

"Well, yes, chimeras are capable of magic. But ours is not so specialized and requires many years of training. I was under the impression that feys were simply able to promote plant growth. Or is there some ritual required to activate this ability?" Mytrax realized the question might be interpreted as being too personal and hastily switched subjects, "As for any other ideas, we shouldn't get over-ambitious. We only have a short period of time for this project so for now let's focus on the-"

Whatever the chimera intended to say next was cut off when the bell rang. She quickly scribbled (though her writing was rather neat for something hastily written) down her contact details onto a scrap of paper, "Here." she said and handed it over to the fey. "I have class at the other end of the building, we can discuss this further later."
