Before you sits a purple book with the name 'Syth' embroidered on a ribbon. A lot extra pages and photos have been shoved inside, a poor attempt at trying to maintain her records. This book might seem to be in a great condition, but its age shows its disuse. An owner who seems liable to forget it even exists at times.
The ribbon wrapped around the book seems to be held together with an unknown force, but someone intent enough could pry it free.

She made terrible plots to try to romance her interests and would socialize with whomever she could. Now, she's two steps away from being a wreck. Her confidence more fragile than a glass house. It takes a lot of work for her to build up courage to do something new. She's prone to spiraling from her failure and will closer herself from the outside world if she finds it necessary.
●biography x x x tabBack when the Academy first opened Syth would throw herself at new people to meet them. Quickly finding herself having affection for two specific people, Insonorise and Alice. Though her attempts to win over the former failed, she'd find herself in a loving relationship that would withstand the grip of death. Being mute wouldn't stop her from making friends and doing what she wanted to do.
As an adult her troubles would begin. A wedding would seal the vows of love between Alice and Syth, and soon they'd bring in life with four children. However things wouldn't go smoothly, they'd quickly develop powers of their own and her son Lucian would permanently blind one of her daughters, Yoko. Soon Alice would be called to leave and would take Lucian with her. Leaving her with three other children. This became would inflict a terrible tool on Syth and she'd quickly abandon two, putting her focus on her blind daughter. Only to abandon all of her children and vanish without a trace.
She'd appear for a brief period of time once the Sanctuary had been opened up. Finding out that the love of her life died as the Academy had been burned. Alice gave her life so the Metas at the Academy were able to evacuate safely. . After the operation, she'd wander on her own for a period of time, before receiving a letter and starting her elder quest. It would be five years before she would complete her quest and be reunited with her love for the first time in decades.

Telekenesis (Rank 7) Syth's primary power. Able to influence, manipulate, and move objects with just a thought. Evolved to a point where she can influence up to 7 objects at the same time, lift a combined total weight of 700 lbs. Though with recent practice, she has found an expanded use for this. Generating friction to cause fires, binding a target in place, or sensing others in a 30 ft range.
Telepathy (Rank 5) Her primary method of communication. She's able to broadcast her thoughts up to a range of 100 ft (Area of Effect) and focus communication with someone up to 2,000 ft away. She is able to read the mind of others, convey knowledge, and launch attacks on the mind. Her access to advanced abilities is limited, and combined with the natural strength of a Meta's mind advanced abilities are hard to perform without permission or an opening to attack. Advanced abilities include manipulation of the mind and reading deep memories.
Trance (Rank 5) Enhancing her abilities for fighting prowess at a risk. Her speed, strength, vitality, durability, and endurance are enhanced drastically for several minute. While in a trance state she will appear to glow with psionic energy lashing out with dangerous attacks. Any emotion she feels will be likewise multiplied. It is advised in this state to run the ******** away. Likewise once this state is over her abilities are weakened depending on how long her trance state lasted. Anywhere from 1 day to several weeks.
Teleportation (Level 7) Able to make an unlimited amount of short teleportations. Able to teleport herself and up to two others far distances (25 miles). Teleporting long distances however, takes up a long amount of time and requires focus in order for her not to end up stuck in a wall or falling to her death.
Summoning (Level 5) Able to summon objects out of thin air. At this stage she's able to summon up to 7 objects, each limited to the size of a large sword.

You know, I still don't know what it stands for but its a pretty terrible place. But I should start up a new journal and kick this off as a new chapter in my life. Bleh, that sounded corny.
Anyway, to recap my introduction to SIU happened to involve Kae, my own Mother-in-law I hadn't had a single thought about since twenty something years ago. But, as it turns out mind reading is a thing and there's not very many people who happen to have horns on their head. Either way Kae told me a few interesting things.
1. Grandchildren were locked up. 2. Alice was stuck in a child's body. 3. Aaaaah, there's only two things (Why am I writing in pen?).
So she kindly took me to SIU on a long quiet drive. Where I was quickly pushed in, given a temporary ID with the name Sona and told that I had some sort of other item that she never bothered to tell me. It barely took a day for Kae to get up and disappear and by day two I was getting called into a conference room by Asriel.
Oh, and I did fight a fire. That was a thing.
Asriel is... a strange man. He's a Lt. Colonel (I assume it means high ranking officer) who helps run the place, or currently runs. He called me in without any backup aside from a walkie talkie. The man's an idiot as far as common sense goes. We had a few rounds of idle banter as he explained to me their new method of controlling metas. By way of making me wear an inhibitor necklace. One thing led to another and I had him upside down while two new people barged in.
Mara, a Colonel, who is perhaps the strongest human I've encountered to date. She's about the polar opposite of Asriel since she wasn't at all afraid of dealing with me, though she did try he best to keep me out of her head.
And Zira, Alice's old pet who's somehow managed to assume a human-looking body. Who also works for SIU. Its weird, I don't like it, but more on that later.
So after a brief confrontation we settled our differences, I let Zira handle Asriel so he could run off like the coward he was and found out that they held a total of three metas.
Leukos, Melody, and Lucian.
I want to get them all out, but Mara was quick to be firm about Lucian staying there, not to mention that he was somehow involved in the Parley so him staying at the Sanctuary was out of the question on account of several crimes. And now here i am waiting at a hotel for Zira to deliver Leukos and Melody to me.
Hrrrngh I should give Mara that call.

To my children
I suppose sorry would be a start, even if that word would do nothing. Perhaps one day I'll do something to make up for it, but until then sorry is all I can say. Sorry for not providing what you needed. Sorry for leaving you alone when you needed me most.
Sorry that I let you rot away for twenty years and suffer the worst that one could. Sorry that I let you see the worst of humanity. Sorry that I couldn't instill what was right and wrong.
Perhaps, there should be more to this, but until then I'm afraid there won't. Sorry is all I can say, but I'll make my actions speak louder.
I don't know why Mara sent me on it but hey get me to meet with a bunch of stranger who most of my children ran off to and help them do something.
I mean I didn't know I was going to meet with them but pfffbt apparently details don't matter. I get met up with two of my children, its nice to see Lucian and Yoko trying to be productive but honestly I can't condone what they're doing. Plus Yoko wanted to kill the man who kidnapped Hexxis so she could do something with the body. Honestly the entire thing was iffy from the start.
But everything went pretty smooth. We hit a small snag when we tried to take him down but eventually push came to shove and his body gave in. And before you know it we're off and sitting still. And then I got to get aquainted with Hexxis.
Hexxis is a problematic child if I've ever met one. Not a trouble maker but rather troubled. Some group by the name of Haven had somehow programmed her body to respond to a certain way, much like a computer. Though deep inside I could reach inside and read her mind.
At least when it wasn't being repressed. I had the idea of trying to help her my way and when met by opposition to my proposal I kind of lost myself. I subdued as many people as I could as quickly as possible and took off with her. And in the process I tried to help her push through the programming.
I thought I was making progress, but instead I nearly got her killed and when push came to shove I ended up starting code ash, whatever that stood for.
I ran before Ree had the chance to do anything. I wasn't going to risk it. I took the phone out of the battery and am now just going to spend some time clearing my mind. Honestly, I need it.

Day 1
'So what do I do now'
Syth could only let out a groan, squatting in yet another house as she stared up at the ceiling. Tick tock tick tock... she couldn't even fall asleep right now. She had throw that entire operation underneath the bus and managed to slip out right before.
Alice was probably worried shitless right now.
Yoko was fine... Lucian probably less so but he didn't get caught up in that mess. Or at least last she knew he didn't. He had run off into the wilderness.
Police were looking for her. Well, looking was a stretch they were just aware of her. Not to many people with a horn on their forehead after all. A long pause as she pulled out the cell phone to stare at it.
Maybe tomorrow. But for now she'd sleep off this headache she had gotten. Tired from trying to fend off Hexxis on top of that fight. In addition to running away as far as she could from the police. Yep, a quick nap would do her just fine. And then tomorrow she could continue to make her way back to Alice. Hopefully before she decided to chase after her.
Syth groaned as she woke up from her nap, the headache gone but there was a new set of easily solvable issues. Groaning as she sat up on the bed, thinking about the last few days.
Yep, there was an odd comfort in doing this. Hopping from place to place and just enjoying the quiet and peace. Yoko never did, it was the reason why she ran away when she had the chance. Especially when the Renegades were really forming up.
Ah, she did so much wrong. Ignoring essentially all of them, even Yoko. If she had paid an iota more attention to her perhaps she wouldn't have become the bloodthirsty fiend she was. So much so she had gotten kicked soon after joining. It was amusing they even let her tag along with it.
Summoning up a plate of breakfast with a cup of tea to help keep herself at ease. Nice and hot as she slowly sipped on it. It was her pride, one of the small amount of things she could say she got right.
Lucian was Alice's pride, Silas and Momo were kind of forgotten. And honestly with the things she heard about how strong Momo had gotten. Yeah, she had no intention of fighting her.... or meeting her. Yeah, that'd be a bad decision. Maybe she'd do a lot better without having worry about Dr. Kae stealing Alice away.
Well, time to get going. Teleporting out of the house and continuing the slow walk down the street in the general direction of the SIU facility. Honestly she should learn how to drive sometime.

Can I fix this?
"I have her sighted. She's at the corner of 50th and 39th. Requesting backup."
Syth let out a deep sigh, catching sight of a uniformed officer who had just called her out, still not sounding the car's siren or making any moves yet. She was worried, rightfully so, and waiting for backup before she would engage. But Syth knew how to handle this. Taking a deep breath as her surroundings froze, the world moving around her, before she simply continued a few miles down the road. For all the police officer would notice she just disappeared in a blink of the eye. Returning to her thoughts yet again.
Momo was out of the question for sure. Well... unless there was a way she could guarantee not getting punched into oblivion. Moira at least deserved the right to do that once, but like a child needing his or her shots Syth didn't want any of that. Yoko was more or less a lost cause. The child she had spent the most time with was for all intents and purposes evil and wanted to see nothing more than an entire race to go extinct.
So that left the two boys. Lucian would be an easier task, maybe she'd manage to catch sight of him while he wasn't stuck as a wolf. Catch up on what he'd done and ask him about her grandson. Although if he gave her s**t about ignoring her she'd push that button right back. And well... Silas. The one she honestly didn't know anything about. Which should be a good thing with everything considered. He was the only child that kept out of trouble. At least as far as she knew. Broken this sucks Maybe that was for the better. Maybe he'd be the easiest to reconnect with. Aaaah that sounded so awkward.
This is the worst thing since sliced bread Maybe its better to start anew.
You know if Alice was alive maybe it'd better to try to disown her past and try another shot. You know, what more children might help her get past that. Perhaps it wasn't the greatest idea but if she and Alice kept things stable then, perhaps a second go would be far better. Broken I'm seriously going to strangle you when I'm done with this. Also if she could make sure none of them ended up like Hexxis. That would be a good thing to make sure that didn't happen. God forbid she witness something like that again. She could only wonder what kind of organisation even managed such a thing.
Jeez, she kind of wished her biggest worries were what homosexual man she'd fawn over. Those were the better times.
But for now, she could only stare at her phone, battery still removed, and ponder what Alice would think of such a thing. Would she laugh? She'd laugh for sure. They were both failures, Alice more-so since she actually died and had to inhabit a child's body for a second chance.
She'd call soon, walking was taking rather long. A ride would be nice.

Seriously Broken why!? Maybe I can be productive some other way.
Perhaps she should just find herself productive another way. Instead of just introducing more evil puppet controlling monsters into the world she could actually participate in SIU. Alice probably knew a thing or five hundred about whatever it was they did there perhaps she could be taught as well.
The whole idea of suits that enhanced someone's strength interested her greatly. Having one that was personally tailored to herself. Or even managing to get something that would let her speak would be nice. Especially after having been teased by that wish she had made so many years ago.

Oh god she was back. A small sigh escaping her as she turned around, barely catching a glimpse before teleporting away yet again. A few blocks east, more blocks north, and just to cover herself, many more blocks north. Perhaps it was time to give Alice a call. Or at least get picked up.
Back in another house, waiting another hour for things to clear up so she could continue walking along. She'd need a ride out of here, unless she risked falling unconscious trying to teleport a city over. And even then there was no guarantee of where she would end up.
It was a bad idea in general just to do that really.
Still though, another moment to think to herself. Staring out the window for signs of police activity and just ponder what if she just hid forever. Well, for one Alice would lose her ******** mind so that a big 'No' on the list. Not to mention if any of her kids wanted to talk to her. All but Yoko likely would, she barely spent time with any of them and Yoko was a nutcase.
Kae would probably go nuts over Alice going nuts, since she likely cared to enough to drag her away and not leave her to fend like they did with their children. Yeah, hiding away forever wasn't going to be a good plan, and honestly she did just want to get back to Alice. Could she fix anything? No, but she could do better moving on. Not freak out like she did with Hexxis... stay out of matters that honestly didn't involve her. Plus if she ever did get better about teleporting then she wouldn't have to rely on others to get out. She could just take off, crash somewhere, and then teleport away.
Suppose she should get in contact with someone right about now.
