So the soft approach didn't work, and the whip was a bit difficult thanks to the size of the bird. A last effort was that Nuri needed to use a net to capture the animal and make sure it didn't fly off. As Nuri was in the village, he ignored the advice that many of the others offered. Some Leafsmen suggested food, whereas others suggested he actual try and mount the Kinfa and ride. All seemed quite outrageous and considering their laughter, Nuri took none to heart.

He did notice, however, a group of men who recently came into town. They all seemed keen on the discussion, despite their intention to sit back near the edge of the bar. They appeared a bit disorderly as if they didn't belong, and Nuri was quite suspicious. However, it was not his lands nor his job to worry about such people, and so he left to complete he task and capture the Kinfa.

As he approached the nest, he attempted to go around from a different angle. The hope was that he would not be sighted, and as he pushed through the brush he was pleased to see that the bird was preening and facing away from his direction. Once more, he could appreciate the flame-like feathers on the beast, but soon enough he needed to focus. Taking his net, he tossed it through the air and it landed over the bird, which pushed off and attempted to fly away.

With a mighty flap, the Kinfa raised into the air before becoming tangled and falling to the ground.

Nuri took a long time to let the creature settle under the net. There was no sense in rushing such a large creature, as it would only stress the bird out and hurt the taming process. Add in the fact that the bird could easily break a wing or tear a muscle, and Nuri knew he didn't want to continue to add any unneeded stress.

After what felt like hours, the bird seemed to finally settle, it's eyes sharp and glaring at Nuri. The Tamer moved to stand, brushing off his pants as he slowly walked closer to the deep-breathing bird.

It was then he heard the crack. Head snapping to the side, Nuri gaped as the giant egg that settled in the nest heaved before a crack split it in half. The shell of the egg dripped down the side, revealing a heaving bird of the same flame colors as the parent. Suddenly, the Kinfa began to struggle once more, and Nuri made up his mind.

Darting forward, he took the net and lifted it, releasing the bird as it scrambled to its young. Stepping back, Nuri shared a look with both, before nodding. The bird was a parent, and he would not risk such a separation with a youngling. Before, he imagined he would take the egg, but now he would let the two thrive in the wilderness where they best belonged.
