Kiyelt was out for a morning walk, he had spent many night reflecting over certain recent events and had just considered himself fully healed from the cat face attack that had risked marring his beastly beauty. He grinned into the desert wind, it was about time for a change, maybe he would get really lucky and meet a certain someone soon. Surely she had not been locked away in a closet for her behaviour. He imagined Ichil trussed up and glaring and decided that maybe he wouldn't want to find her that way, as she would no doubt explode past whoever let her out to go accost whoever had locked her up in the first place.

Kiyelt chuckled and crested the next rise, quite visible to all and sundry what with his janarim trailing behind him like a large puppy.

As Kiyelt rose up, another figure became visible; a young dark-skinned woman atop a pink-white janarim with saddlebags. Ichil raised her hand in greeting, and the Ice man before her might just be able to see her grin.

It had been days since her return to the city. She had had some extra time with Imari and also with her father discussing her plans for the future. They didn't get very far, but it had been nice to laugh with him for once. She had remained at home for a noble ball and even behaved herself before heading out toward Kiyelt's new camp.

And there she was just as he had hoped she would be. He hopped on his own janarim and raced to meet her. "Whats a pretty woman like you doing out here, some crazed ice man could just carry you off you know, I hear there is one around." Kiyelt winked at her. Not many would dare tussle with Imari. Except maybe him, but he hoped he never had to. "How was town you don't look like you were incarcerated but then again you always look wonderful.

Like an oasis in the hottest desert in face. He grinned. "Welcome back Ichil." He leaned over and hugged her while handily not falling off his perch ..somehow.

Ichil laughed at the undeniable cheesiness and then shook her head. "Maybe I'm in the mood to be carried off." Each step Imari took lifted one of Ichil's hips or the other as if she were dancing atop her mount. She stopped the beast to lean out and hug Kiyelt back, then settled back in.

"Thank you," she said and nudged Imari ahead again. The janarim took a moment to respond, but Ichil thought that must be fairly normal. "No, no, it went very well. Imari doesn't like the crowds, but I spoke to my father." She had been looking down at the janarim or ahead as she spoke, but now she looked to Kiyelt and tilted her chin up as she spoke. "And I told him about you." The roundness of the final vowel lingered on her lips.

"Did you now? Did you praise my awesomeness or did you say so I met a dude. Hes cool though he has a janarim?" Kiyelt waggled his eyebrows at her. "It must have gone well whatever it was, or are you on the run again from the law?"

He pressed on one side of Skiy, and released pressure on the other so his janarim wandered along closer to hers. He bet they were quite a sight together, but they were also large targets.

His face turned more serious. "I'm honored you told your father about me." His fingers itched to twine with hers but well one of them WOULD fall off if he wasn't more careful. "It means a lot." he bowed his head fighting a blush. He wasn't supposed to do this he was the guy.

Ichil snickered and shook her head again. Kiyelt was a special sort, just as apt at passionately describing a creature and its habits as he was at cheesy, awkward statements bound to make any girl cringe. She wasn't sure why she liked him at all, really, but she did. Very much.

She smiled then and shrugged. "I thought I should let him know where I'd been at the very least. I told him you're from Tivrod and that you've shown me a world I want to be a part of. There was no mention of janarim," Ichil teased, ad then rethought her statement, "Well, later there was. I mean I do have one now." She gestured down to Imari. "By the way, how do you work with a janarim to get them used to crowds? The city's hardly barren."

"Well, you would get her used to smaller groups first, maybe bring her around the edges of Tivrod first then work up to the city center, once she's good with that do the same for the bigger cities. She will come around with time, Skiyaii still dislikes the thick crowds so I try to avoid them when I can. He still needs some work." Kiyelt patted his mount who rumbled his approval and nudged at his new walking companion amiably.

"Well I'm honored that you informed your father of me."

Ichil nodded. Sure, that made sense. She was also reassured by the fact that a professional beast tamer still hadn't gotten his own mount one-hundred percent in the clear when it came to crowds. Imari gave a soft grunt and looked to Skiyaii.

"Of course," Ichil said then. "But what about you? What have you been up to in my absence? Pining in breathless fits?" She smirked.

"Little bit," he smirked back, "Its terribly boring without you around. The janarim poachers haven't been back and Bluestone doesn't make for very talkative company, unless she decides to steal my supper cause she is too lazy to hunt then things get interesting." He smiled at the memory. "Sky just watched like it was a good show to see his mother tease me so."

Kiyelt felt his world recenter, he had been worried about her, and he had missed her more than he thought she should know.

Ichil laughed slightly. "Oh, please. You were just fine before I came around, you flatterer you. Besides, you've got all of those janarim." He'd said he had a fondness of them, and she could see it in his eyes every time he spoke of them.

"How's your little friend? Initi?" Was she remembering right? "Oh, and by the way, I will be cooking for you tonight. I brought fresh supplies and they'd be a shame to waste." She almost said 'whether you like it or not,' but when it came to food she certainly hoped he'd like it.

"Initi packs her wooden janarim with her everywhere she goes, its still in pristine condition even after she takes it for rides on Skiyaii, who puts up with it in good humor. She asks after you often." Kiyelt smiled flashing white teeth.

"Oh? Thank you! Is there anything I can bring for it? " He asked, she probably had everything but he would offer all the same just in case there was a missing ingredient. He had been wondering when they would get the chance to do this and he was very excited about it. He wanted to watch her, maybe get some tips on Oban cooking, he had adapted..sort of mostly he used Zenan spice on things.

Ichil's smile broadened, and for once not in a cheeky way. She was glad the youngster enjoyed her present so much and that she had made even the littlest impression. They'd have to put aside a day to spend with Initi, then, or even just an hour. Children made everything seem new and exciting, and the noble life was so draining, but she had to remind herself that she wasn't bound by those shackles any longer, at least not to the same extent.

"I don't think so! I might like to go through your pantry, though. See what you like. A lot can be said about a man from his pantry." Not that a man who lived in a tent would have an actual pantry, but still, she'd bet he kept all of his spices together.

"Well I have a modest selection with some Zenan spices and one from Tale that I really like and a few of the Oban ones, some rice, tea, dried meats buried for rations when hiking and things but usually I get fresh stuff and cook it directly, its easier to keep out of maws that way." He grinned, Norcrest is a practiced meat theif, whereas Iniu stares at you until you feed her. But I've seen Skyaii put away a good deal of xaraan carcass so I really worry about him digging up the dried meat although he is rather well behaved overall."

"Your welcome to whatever I have though," he was so happy she was here. It felt like it glowed through his skin. "I'm very happy your back, you know."

Ichil nodded. "Good. Maybe I'll just play around a bit, then. All we have at home is Oban. Mostly, anyway. I sneak into the kitchen here and there." She paused briefly. "I'm happy to be back. I really like you, Kiyelt."

She felt one of the saddlebags shift. "I don't mean to be rude, but do you think we could maybe pick up the pace a bit? I have a gift for you, but it's kind of time-sensitive." And probably getting angrier by the moment. She doubted it would follow them if she just let it free now, though. As if on cue, one of the side saddle bags jumbled a bit, then went still again.

"Oh ah yes of course, we can pick it up," Kiyelt looked at the grumpy saddlebag with wide eyes, it must be an angry living thing to be moving in a saddle bag. He nudged Skiyaii up to a lope which would be easier then a trot on whatever the critter in the saddle bag was. For all he knew that was part of supper. There were a few imported living delicacies but just in case it was something else he decided to hold his tongue least he embarrass himself. It could be a pet after all.

The lope was rejuvenating and refreshed his spirit, not that Ichil wasn't rejuvenating, quite the opposite in fact she was at times too stimuating, and he really couldn't get the goofy grin of his face as they raced across the desert. He slowed as they approached Leatherback and Bluestones territory. He would clean up a bit not that it was terrible but having so many familairs made for constant tidying.
