NAME OF CLASS: First Aid 101
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Cricket

General information: A general overview on basic illnesses a student might run into, as well as symptoms and quick fixes to things like breaks and deep cuts while on the go!

Each student is given a dummy to work on, though they may choose to partner up in fixing it.

Mechanics:
Roll 1 20-sided dice, what you roll is what your student gets to work with...

Dice Rolls and What they Mean!

1-4 - Broken Bone
4-8 - Fever
9-12 - Heat Stroke
13-16 - Hypothermia
17-20 - Lack of Bodily Function (such as breathing, pulse, etc) - this is unnaturally so.

After this, please roll 4, 4-sided Dice. Take into account their total and any repeating numbers

Total Results and their Meaning

1-6 - You do a rather poor job patching up your dummy, you might not want to try and heal anybody anytime soon!
7-12 - You do an average job, nothing extraordinary, but passable!
12-16 - Extra good work! Your student can now heal surface wounds!, but not repair HP! This means things like cuts and bleeding that might hinder another character can be patched up!

What Repeating Numbers Mean

No Repeating Numbers - You used just the right amount of supplies, good for you! Not wasteful at all.
Repeating 1s or 2s - You didn't use enough supplies, that's rather lazy and Cricket obviously disapproves of it.
Repeating 3s or 4s - You used too many supplies and that's wasteful! Naughty! Cricket might make you earn your supply rights back in a future class!

If you work as a group, split up the dice between yourselves as evenly as possible. So if you're paired up, each person rolls a 10 sided dice and you add up the results to get your dummy!

Then you split up your 4 sided dice to work on fixing it up!


Bonus Mechanics:
For every 3 times you attempt this course, your student may add +1 to their 4d4 dice roll's total to improve how well they patched up the dummy.

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN...

- You are finished rolling both sets of dice and rping out the results. That means you have to START OVER to try again! You may do so in the same thread or a new one if you decide to attempt again at a later date.

Brute felt completely out of his element in this class. Fighting trash robots? That had been great! Racing up a hill while lightening bolts rained down from above? Excellent fun! But stick him in a classroom where he was expected to show skills beyond brute force, speed and endurance (aka, expect him to use his brain)?

This was going to be an absolute disaster

Brute's fingernails drummed against the desktop nervously, eyes darting left and right. He couldn't do this. Not alone, at least. Thankfully, it looked as though they would be allowed to partner up, which meant that maybe, just maybe, Brute would end up with somebody who knew what they were doing.

Catching the eye of a ghoul nearby, he pointed at her, and then at himself. A silent question: would you like to partner up with me?

Aisha had also been scanning the room for a partner, she'd even pulled her headphones down around her neck to as to not appear distracted. The trouble was that she didn't real know anyone in this class. It wasn't like making friends was hard but-

Oh. Thank Jack. His silent motioning was given a thumbs up back.

The zombie ghoul slid around desks to work her way over to the boil, giving him a small wave and a smile. Her eyes and mouth flickered pleasantly with an orange glow, an indication of her pleased mood over the arrangement.

"Hey.." She brushed some dreads back into her hood, today's facepaint more of a mexican day-of-dead type of skull. "I'm Aisha.. Thanks for this. I don't know anyone in this class.. but my dad's a doctor so hopefully it won't be too hard.."

The first thing Brute noticed after the student he had hailed made her way over were her eyes and mouth, and the flickering glow within each. He fixated on both in equal turn, blinking a couple of times while he openly stared.

That was weird, but he supposed he'd seen weirder.

Realizing that in this time she had introduced herself to him, Brute bobbed his head in a nod, and then replied in a voice that trickled out in a low growl.

"I am Brute."

That was it, followed by another bob of his head, which then swiveled to look towards the dummies, which they were apparently supposed to pick from.

He curled his arms in close to his chest and looked back towards the ghoul, tilting his head in that direction and raising his eyebrows, hopefully conveying that she should go and pick one out.

"Brute." Aisha nodded, smiling again even if he was a bit short verbally, "Cool."

The zombie selected her own dummy, dragging it to where it needed to be before glancing at Brute's and then him. He seemed kind of like a tough guy, not that it bothered her.

"You ever done this before?"

Brute's gaze followed her as she went off to find a dummy, and he muttered to himself, "I am Brute." in a quiet grumble as he watched her. She seemed...nice. Friendly, at least, which the wyvern wasn't at all used to yet. Where he came from, everybody rough, and violent.

He uncurled his arms from his chest and began to drum his fingers against the tabletop again until she returned. At her question, he gave his head a sharp shake.

The dummy looked just like any other...though maybe a bit more blue? It had a tag on it, and Brute squinted at it, attempting to read what it said.

Hy-po-ther-mi-a.....What was that? He honestly had no idea.

The teacher had given them all some supplies to work with. Bandages, gauze, tape, cloths, scissors....Brute really didn't even know where to begin, so he just picked up the cloths carefully in his hand and draped them over the dummies chest, before looking at Aisha imploringly.

Was this good?

Aisha chuckled a bit at Brute, realizing than that his lack of chatter was a bit more lacking than she initially realized. His hopeless laying of the bandages was sort of funny.

"Hypothermia.." She grabbed some blankets and offered him one, "Is when someone is really cold and freezing. So we should be warming them up."

She didn't grab enough to cover the whole dummy this time around, but they weren't finished yet.

"My dad created me to help him with his doctor stuff so I read a lot of books on this stuff when I was first made." But she didn't really care for healing as a full time profession. "I'm a zombie." She clarified.

Also apparently making up for his lack of talk with plenty of her own.

Oh. Well that explained the tinge of blue, then. Brute nodded his understanding, and took the offered blanket, not really sure if he should be wrapping the dummy up with it or what but deciding to just follow suit and do whatever Aisha did and hope that it was correct.

The ghoul was going on about herself, and he did his best to listen and understand, but it was difficult. Created? Doctor? Books? She was losing him fast. And when she said that she was a zombie, he stopped, and stared at her some more.

Azombie. He could have sworn she had said her name was Aisha, earlier.....

"I am Brute." He said, slowly, and went back to work. The wrapping thing wasn't actually too difficult, so he just continued on with that, and managed to actually do a decent job of it.

Aisha blinked at Brute again. He could read, she knew that much, he'd read the tag on the dummy. But other than that he seemed to only say his own name.

Of course the puzzlement over it struck her momentarily dumb and she screwed didnt secure the wrapping enough and the whole one side unravelled.

"I think.." Aisha grimaced, "we have to try again. Though we almost got it."

Try again? Brute blinked slowly and looked down at her side to see that her wrappings had unraveled. Brute bared his teeth and leaned towards the wrappings while letting out a low, trickling growl, as if that would scare them into cooperating.

Of course, it didn't do anything, and he straightened back up with a huff. This was stupid. Hypothermia was stupid. Brute wanted another dummy. One that wasn't so stupid.

He pushed away from the desks and went to get another dummy, bringing it back to dump unceremoniously next to the previous one.

Aisha found Brute's growling efforts to be strangely amusing. She had no problem trying on a different dummy and when he dumped this one on the table she found it to be strangely warm.

The tag marked it as being the complete opposite of their previous dummy.

"Heat stroke." She looked at Brute, keeping it as brief as possible since he didn't seem keen of over explanation, "Means the body is too hot and needs to be cooled down.

While he could make out the word on the tag, he again had no idea what this word actually meant, so the explanation Aisha gave him was met with silent appreciation.

The dummy, however, was given a glower to end all glowers, before he actually attempted to figure out what to do with the thing that was apparently suffering from the opposite of what their previous dummy had been suffering from.

Grabbing a cup of nearby ice water (where had that even come from?), Brute dumped it on the dummy's face, and then tossed the cup away, not even blinking as it clattered to the floor and rolled away.

Aisha actually laughed out loud at that. Overheating wasn't exactly something she was an expert on so brute's logic really couldn't be faulted. She decided to go with some cool packs she found, using the same idea to not lower the body temperature too quickly if she could help it.

Between the two of them though, it was really hard to tell if they were making progress, doing the right thing, or just bungling the whole thing up.

Bungling the whole thing up was a pretty safe bet where Brute was involved, but there was always the slim chance they would be able to pull this off, somehow, anyways.

Following Aisha's lead, he began putting cool packs against the dummies body as well.

And also removed it's socks. If it needed to be cooled down then that was the obvious solution, based on the fact that he always stuck his feet out from under the covers of his bed if he got too hot himself.
