Fal: *idly chews on a bit of Kahlo's mane*

Kahlo: -Looks at him curiously- Is it tasty?

Fal: ... bit like berries...do you paint with them?

Kahlo: -She blinks, and grins slowly- I don't actually paint... I dip dye cloth... I have thought of learning to do cloth painting, or block dying though... But yes, I do use berries for that.

Fal: Hmm... I like it. *grins at her and lets the strand of mane go* Art sounds nice... My grandmother paints, among other things.

Kahlo: -She grins back, and tilts her head- It's nice to have a creative outlet.

Fal: Is it? I don't... I don't make art. I'm happy keeping my bees though, and I thought I might make candles, with some of the wax... *considers her wings* You... remind me of something my mother once said. That if we cannot make art, we should aspire to be art. I think you are that, and you make art too... That is, skill indeed.

Amarie: *roosts on a low branch and watches the mare talking to her charge*

Kahlo: -She flutters her wings, and blushes a little, flattered.- Why thank you... And you should definitely consider the candle-making! -She pauses, then thoughtfully tilts her head- Do you have spare wax, maybe?

Fal: *pondering picking up something to keep his mouth busy so his lips don't run away with him again, feeling that the comment was perhaps a bit too much* A pleasure, just the truth as I see it miss. *chuffs softly* I thank you for your enthusiasm at the idea, I am, not sure how it would go but it is intriguing. *flicks his ears* I have plenty, hence the idea to begin using some of it in other items. Honeycombs are all well and good to trade, but after awhile even I can only travel so far to deliver them. Why, have you need of beeswax?

Kahlo: -She smiles, warmly, at him.- You are too kind. And quite a living work yourself, you know. -She contemplates him, then nods.- You should get some chains with beads, or something, to string through your hair and curls... maybe bells, not beads, so you can chime as you go. I think it would accent your natural looks, and enhance your naturally mysterious appearance, with those night-sky eyes of yours. -She says it freely, no shame or shyness in her words.- Well you should try. The worst that can happen is it doesn't work out, though don't give up on the first try... After all, it takes time to learn a new skill. -She beams at his words.- Oh yes! I've heard of some dyeing techniques using beeswax to prevent dyes from going into certain places on a piece of cloth, to help create more complex patterns! I've been wishing to try that.

Fal: *blinks at the mare, somewhat bewildered someone is advising him to decorate himself, but oddly warmed by the suggestion* I thank you.. I will, keep it in mind. There are some I know that make trinkets, it would not be hard to obtain a few. *he smiled faintly at her comment about his eyes* They serve me best in the dark, ,which would be made significantly less mysterious by chiming, would it not? *he flicks his curling tail and nods* Yes, that is true enough and I suppose I shall. As for your techniques, if you wish I can be sure to deliver you some jars of it, or the comb itself if that is of interest for any other such project.

Kahlo: -She nods and tilts her head, considering.- Well if you strung the chains through so that the bells weren't, themselves, visible, it would be mysterious where the chiming came from, yes? -She had a light in her eyes at the idea, clearly picturing it, even if it was, perhaps, a touch unreachable... But her imagination clung to it.- And oh wonderful! I look forwards to seeing your future creations. -She had a bright, grateful smile at his offer.- Oh that would be wonderful, very... I will have to make you a blanket, to thank you for your kindness. -She looked him over, happily.- Dark blue, with a deep purple, almost twilight-sky purple, trim I think... Yes. That would be best... hmmm.

Falmari: *chuckles, able to tell that she's got a good hold on the vision and not willing to shake her from it. If it works, he'll be sure to wear them in her presence, once he has a moment to try the idea at all.* Amusingly enough, my mother is draped in beaded chains and bells, as the tradition of her herd. I find it interesting that the recommendation came to mind. *he laughed softly* If the candles go well, I will bring them to you to light your evenings, should your work run late. Then you may always reuse the wax in your art, so it can be twice as useful to you. *blinks in surprise that she now wishes to make him a blanket* That is kind of you to offer, but I would not wish for you to go to trouble. I simply want to offer my services if they can be of help to realize your dream for your craft.

Kahlo: -She blinks, a surprised look on her face.- Really? I had no idea, at all! I just thought such curls as those would be perfect for decoration in such a fashion! Or perhaps temporary dyes, to create an ombré effect, pale as they are. Or colored chalk dusts. -She blinks, and blushes.- This, though, is why I am a dyer... I can't but see something or some one and wish to ornament them, because I like enhancing what is already there... Everyone is beautiful, after all. -She beams at his suggestion- Oh that would be nice, I often wish I could dye at night... The stars are such an inspiration... And it wouldn't be such a trouble. I want to do it.

Fal: I am sure you did not, which perhaps makes it all the more amusing. She does not have them strung in her hair, I believe they might get caught and that would be painful indeed. But sections are pinned up with the charms she has made, and others are bound in tails to keep them in a slightly more orderly fashion. As for myself, I am not sure I would be confident enough to dye myself... But chalk could be interesting? *he tilted his head, smiling faintly* I agree that everyone is beautiful, or has beauty within them, but find it endlessly interesting you are so readily happy to help someone realize their potential. That is kind of you. *he hums faintly, nodding* Yes, the stars are beautiful. Night is, perhaps my favorite time. I certainly move most freely then, and accomplish many tasks. It would be a pleasure then to craft you candles so you can work whenever inspiration strikes. As for the blanket, then I sincerely thank you for the offer. It would be a delight to receive a gift from you.

Kahlo: -She blinked at his comment about them getting caught in hair.- Oh I never thought of that... Hmmmmm perhaps, then, it would be better to have them between strips of thin ribbon. It might muffle the sound, a bit, but it would protect the hair, and still make it possible to have mysterious music. Maybe even more so, because it might sound like it was coming from a greater distance. -She pondered this, as well.- And yes, chalk can be nice for that... I want to convince my sister to let me do something like that in her hair, too... -She smiles warmly.- I love seeing beauty, and sharing what I see. -She bumps him, very gently, with her wing.- And the candles would help me share the night with you, too, for my night vision is only decent, at best. -She beams at his last words.- I look forwards to creating it for you.

Fal: *sets a crown of night blooming jasmine on Kahlo's head and disappears with a wink*
