Raphael is slightly egocentric when it comes to fighting, but he is very gentleman-like when it comes to socializing with others. However, he is known to be rather blood thirsty and kills whenever he gets the chance. He tries to restrain himself, but it's just who he is. He is a good friend, but isn't good at giving advice, so he just tries to be there for others.

Raphael had a rather easy childhood. Unlike most in his position, he only had small health problems when he was younger. His parents were hippies, in a way. They made sure everything for him was organic and natural. They were very fond of nature, but Raphael never really understood why. Then, he became a big brother. He had a little sister named Ana. She was a small little one as a child, and, despite being raised the same way he was, she was a frail child. He took care of her every chance he got.
When he was eighteen, he was given the offer to join the S O C I E T Y, but he turned it down. Normally, if someone turns down the offer, they have their memories erased, but for him, he was given some time to consider the offer. Not long after, his house was robbed, and Raphael's worst fear had come true. His sister was dead. Outraged, he wanted to go track down the killers, but he was restrained by Mari, a member of the S O C I E T Y. He had joined soon after and became good friends with Mari, since she is so much like how his sister was, but he still has sought vengeance and has gained a blood thirst because of it.
