He'd slept in- or at least, by his standards he had slept in. But the night's scrying had used up much of his energy and gone into the late hours of the night, so it was to be expected. When he woke, he re-made the bed, then exited the temporary house, locking the door behind him. Now, to find this "Headmaster" and notify him of his intentions to stay. The cards had advised it, his talents may be needed here in the coming time.

He made his way down the path, back to the main building. Daylight showed many more flaws in the landscape, but at least it wasn't entirely overgrown. They hadn't been open for long, it was only natural that they wouldn't have things put together.

He opened the door to the building, and then stepped inside, closing it behind him quietly. Now.... to locate the person he needed to see... He started in, then came to a slow stop, sensing something off. Perhaps danger had already made its way through the unlocked gates...

Delilah had been sitting at the front desk, her face expressionless, mask donned as she filled out paperwork and organized a few things. There was a vase on the counter full of flowers that seemed quite alive. She seemed pretty into her work as her eyes darted back and forth over the counter. It seemed she was a bit messy as some of the papers were obviously paperwork about metas that had arrived, and mixed with pages upon pages of many hastily written equations, graphs, and hand-written diagrams. Facts and data that she had been working on. Her hands were swift and graceful as she moved to write something else down but her eyes glanced up to notice someone had entered.

She blinked curiously, keeping her face blank as she stood up from the desk and bowed slightly. "..w-welcome to m-metamorphose.. s-sanctuary.." she greeted calmly, her bright green eyes analyzing him carefully, scanning his body language, his features, getting a visual read on the meta before proceeding. "h-how can i h-help you?" she smiled politely from underneath her mask, her stature very proper as she hid her true feelings about dealing with other very well.

A voice.. quiet, uneasy - not one that was used often. He turned his attention from his surroundings to -- the girl behind the desk. Indigo eyes void of much as he took her in, measuring, calculating. Here it was, the danger that may have been foretold when he entered the night before... Though, she felt... different. Malice was nowhere to be found, here.

He decided to come closer, though stopped a few feet away from the desk. Something in the back of his head buzzed, warning him that being too close to this person was not a good idea. "Thank you. I was told that I should see out the "Headmaster" should I decide to stay longer than one night." His tone was, as usual, low and calm - devoid of any real indicators of how he was feeling or thinking. It unnerved some humans, but also delighted others - the way he could speak in near perfect monotone without really trying. He didn't think it would matter much here, she was doing much the same thing.

Delilah blinked once more, that was a strange way of wording that sentence, as though to insinuate that he'd already stayed one night. This wasn't a hotel of any sort so the possibility that someone would have come to spend a singular night was unheard of, she could only assume that he'd found some way to stay the night and now intended to stay. She analyzed his words and actions carefully. He seemed to know not to approach her too closely. She shifted her weight slightly then gave a nod through an intent stare to acknowledge her respect for him, his tone, his decision to keep distance. He obviously knew quite a bit, or at least could feel her. Though, the former seemed more likely so she went with that.

"I-I'll retrieve h-him." her voice was weak but direct. As though she had carefully selected her words with strong certainty to convey her messages despite her speech making it difficult to display those words in the way she had thought of them in her mind. With that, she turned to walk to the side of the desk and knock lightly on the door against the wall that led elsewhere. She carefully opened the door a jar and spoke into the office. "S-someone is h-here to see y-you." she announced softly, listened for the return of the voice, nodded then shut the door. Returning to the desk, she stared blankly at Kreios. "H-he'll be out s-shortly." she reported, returning to her work but keeping a close eye on him.

It was a few minutes until the door latched open and a well-dressed figure emerged, a silver mask covering his face as he came to greet the newcomer. He paused for a split second, realizing who it was, but pushed himself to continue immediately. "Hello, I'm Rhun, the headmaster of this sanctuary. It's a pleasure to meet you." his voice was steady and jovial as he approached, extending a gloved hand to Kreios. He kept a light cordial smile on his face as his eyes were narrow but spirited. He hoped in the back of his mind that he wouldn't notice. It had been dark last night, but that was only last night. It was too soon to tell.

Delilah paused for a second, sliding her eyes to Rhun then to Kreios with curiosity then immediately shifted them back to her paperwork, listening in on their conversation as that would be enough to read the situation clearly as it played out.

She seemed confused, if barely so. She did a fair well job of hiding what she was thinking, though he'd always had a sort of sixth sense for the emotions of others. He nodded in response to her initial statement, then watched as she stepped over to the office door. He couldn't hear the person inside speaking, but she returned soon enough. He nodded again, deciding it wasn't the time to waste more words.

Once the door opened, he turned his indigo eyes towards it, zeroing in on the headmast--... Oh. Well, wasn't this a twist. He blinked, expression making no indication that he knew exactly who he was looking at. Try as he may, a person's energy didn't change simply because they put a mask on. As if the energy wasn't enough, his voice sealed the deal. How interesting of him to play dress-up during the day, masquerading as someone entirely different.

"Kreios." He responded in the same flat tone, and accepted his hand, giving it a firm but not threatening shake before he released it and returned his hand to his jacket pocket. "I was informed by someone that I should see you should I decide to remain more... permanently." He tilted his head to one side, eyes unblinking as he examined "Rhun's" face for any change in emotion.

Interesting. Very interesting. Something seemed.. off. But she simply could not place her finger on it. It was far too subtle to make anything of it. At this point, it was just a hunch that something was up. She gathered and organized her papers into stacks then handed Rhun a piece of paper attached to a clipboard, without even looking up from the desk. As if following the standard procedure of things. She wasn't exactly delicate about handing it over though as she kind of tapped his arm with the clipboard roughly. Her eyes forcefully averting looking at him as her blank eyes glinted with a tiny bit of scorn for a split second.

Rhun kept composure fairly well as he smiled at Kreios, not letting on that they had met even through body language. Though the very subtle hints might still be there. He blinked as Delilah hit him lightly with the clipboard, looking down at the girl as if he wanted to say something to her, possibly scold her but didn't say anything. He took the clipboard and held it out to Kreios. "I'll just need some information and I'll arrange a home for you. Let me know when you are done." he instructed. He moved to return to the office to retrieve something really quick. As he moved, he shot a quick stern glance at Delilah. She shot one back just as stern, not hiding it this time as Rhun closed his eyes and sighed, entering the office.

He eyed the exchange, noting the animosity in her movements. Kreios took the clipboard as it was handed out to him, eyes never leaving Rhun's face. "Very well." He blinked, watching them exchange another couple of disapproving looks... So there was something going on there. A quarrel? Or something larger? Did it have to do with the warning he'd received the night before?

It seemed he had a lot of questions to ask his cards later. Rather than fill the paperwork out near the desk, he settled on finding a seat to occupy. His tail swayed gently as he set to filling it out, jotting down his full name, birthdate, and as much information as he felt like divulging. The discontent between the two of them did not exactly make him feel like sharing too much.

Once he was done, he looked up, eyes focused on the girl again. "Shall I fetch him, or you?" A simple question, though if she read into it she might know he was suggesting that he'd seen their little display.

Her expression was blank again as she slid her eyes over to Kreios and his question. She was usually above showing her emotions at all, she didn't like anyone knowing how she felt about anything. She was more comforted by her own solitude than to being around others that ended up bothering her. Only out of the issue that she could not control their emotions as she did her own, a fact that irritated her when she was alone to think about it. She closed her eyes, breathing calmly as she looked back at him with a softer expression as though to apologize, to say that it wasn't going to happen again.

"I-i can g-get him." she stated simply, standing up to go into the office. It was quiet for a few moments, no movement, no words.

Rhun exited the office alone at first, walking over to him, his stride lively and careful. He smiled, "Done?" he asked, holding out a hand to take the clipboard if he was done. "I can show you to your new home if you like." he offered, his face seemed carefree as his slender eyes curled slightly in response to the smile on his face.

Delilah emerged a few minutes later, seemingly with the intent to do something important as she gathered her papers and walked off down the hall. She looked back for a moment to look at them and sighed, turning to disappear around a corner.

He nodded, waiting patiently as she fetched Rhun again. He stood, waiting for him to emerge in the meantime. Once he did, he held out the clip board for him to take, sparing the girl another glance before he nodded in response to his question. "Yes, I am finished. I will follow your lead." He nodded again, then stuffed his hand back into his pocket, tail swaying slowly behind him.

Rhun nodded slightly in agreement then put the clipboard in a drawer of the front desk and locked it. Delilah would tend to that later when she returned from wherever she had gone to. "Don't mind her, she's lived here in complete seclusion from others for the past two decades and is still... readjusting." he explained with a smile, hoping it would suffice for why she was so cold and distant.

He walked toward the adult housing district, keeping his eyes forward as he talked. "Kreios, was it? That's not a name I'm familiar with, had you lived here before? On campus?" he asked, he was much more collected and easier to talk as Rhun, almost naturally sociable as he looked for information that would tell him if he needed to explain the locations within the grounds or not. All the while, the smile never let his face, the complete opposite of how he was without the mask on. Rhun still pondered whether he knew or not, nothing obvious tipped him off that Kreios had figured it out, so he was still unsure. He just kept talking as though nothing was wrong and this had been the very first time meeting the incubus.

He blinked slowly, watching him as he explained Delilah's behavior... though honestly, he didn't mind it. In fact, he preferred her method of communication. "It was not a bother." He shook his head, then followed after him outside to the housing complex.

He shook his head at the question. "No. I never lived here." Clearly this fellow was going to carry on as if they'd never met before. How... interesting. He sighed softly, this wasn't really his style... "You can stop pretending to be someone else."

PostPosted: Sat Jan 16, 2016 6:10 pm

Rhun had carried on, he was about to explain the areas of the complex when Kreios spoke out.

Stop pretending. His entire body came to a halt as he seemed taken back by the comment. He turned to look at Kreios as his face just looked shocked and confused, almost still processing the fact that he knew.

You really think people are that stupid? What a joke.

He seemed to handle the situation better this time around as his smile dropped and his look just became rough and longing. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he then looked to Kreios. "That obvious, huh?" his voice was calm but it wasn't hard to tell that this was a little tough for him.

He laughed a bit, almost out of nervousness. "You must think I'm crazy..." he commented, trying to find some way to play off his astonishment. "I can... explain." he offered, mentally kicking himself for saying that phrase again. Nothing good ever came from that phrase.

Now he's going to tell everyone who you really are.
You won't have a home anymore.
No love, No friends.
They'll hunt you down now for sure.

He tried to think of what he could say to explain that didn't make him look insane. Or like a criminal. Which, technically, he was.

Ah, he'd truly believed that he hadn't known. He was almost amused, but the near look of fear that crossed his face prevented that particular emotion from forming. "For someone of my gift, yes." He nodded, "your voice is also the same, you are the same height, your hair is the same... the only difference is your clothing and your mask. It's fairly simple to put two and two together." He shrugged, eyeing him flatly.

He seemed terribly nervous, and desperate to explain. He'd done some looking into the past the night before - it was far easier to look at that than it was to look into the future. He shook his head, removing a hand from his pocket to signal him to stop. "You needn't explain. I don't care why it is you've decided to put your mask on. It has been ordained that I stay here and so here I am. What you choose to do is up to you, but I do not play pretend with identity." It was more than he'd spoken in some time, but he felt it better to be as clear as possible with him on this matter.

PostPosted: Sat Jan 16, 2016 6:56 pm

Rhun sighed, "You weren't exactly supposed to see me... without the mask." he retorted softly. If it had been a comparison between the Rasiel from 20 years ago, and the Rhun that stood here today, there were many differences, making it harder for people to have caught on. But there was no denying that he did look almost exactly the same, if he merely just took off the mask.

Kreios didn't care why he had the mask or who he used to be, something that reminded him of Zaku, but only a little more.. crass. Rhun sighed, turning to look forward. "As long as you understand that I have to be someone else to them. You may not care about my real name or why I have the mask. But they do." he explained calmly. "It's not something I can just stop doing. So please understand." he shifted his gaze back, to see if Kreios accepted what he was saying. "We all do things for a reason. I have mine, and you have yours." He began to walk again, toward the adult housing complex, putting his hands into his pocket as his stride was no longer as chipper and was surprisingly more relaxed. He was different now, balancing in between Rasiel and Rhun at the moment, as he didn't want to let his guard down completely. It was daylight, after all.

"If that were the case, might I suggest not wandering around without it on." Two could play the retorting game. He examined his body language, gauging how irritated he was - or perhaps nervous... he did seem different from before, but he'd expected that much. Most people didn't take kindly to him pointing out that their disguises were flawed at best.

"That is fine. Pick a name and that will be what I refer to you as. I will keep the need for discrepancy in mind with others." Meaning, he would agree to continue calling him "Rhun" around others if he didn't choose it as his sole name. While he didn't play pretend himself, he was fully capable of doing it for others.
