        Personality :: Kohaku is an individual one might define as a coagulation of grandiose. His personality consists predominantly of eccentricity and grandeur, though it rests upon a silver lining of sanity - one that some may consider nonexistent. Though true, he proves rather polite in casual conversation, albeit considerably more dramatic than most. Contrary to many of those with his disposition, neither his actions nor words are a ruse, and he speaks frequently the truth and what is upon his immediate mind. Resultant of the sporadic kinesis of his thoughts, Kohaku often fidgets and gesticulates during speech. He is known to present himself to others as harmless, despite his position as the head of countermeasures. It his nature as an information broker and politician to do so. Nonetheless, with those he is more well acquainted, his restraints are released and a more satiric and sarcastic character arrives. When given an opportunity to be of utmost eccentricity, Kohaku will not hesitate in his agreement. Due to his eclectics, emotions are not objects that he tends to stow away, though as a causality of his carefree and hedonistic nature, he cares not for the opinions of others and their judgements of him.         Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ [ 一 ] : A Caged Bird
        "Those who are born are destined to die no differently than they are destined to be reborn."
              The prosperity of the European continent once was obstructed by excess turmoil, its stability reliant of an already unstable foundation. When subjected to terminal conditions of these degrees of intensity, persons are expected to react with similar extent; those who suffer become desperate, for it is death that they fear before all else. It is the gamble of their life that they cannot lose which compels their actions. Such was the fate of a Frenchman who once assumed the name Alistaire Manovrare.

              It was through strife and tension that the black market came into existence, an independent economy supported by factions of such power that it could not be so easily overtaken. Forced from his home in France, Alistaire claimed his position within the underground to repent. He was a charming individual, one who possessed an inherent charisma that attracted men and women, alike - for varying justifications. As his wares progressed in their renown, a confrontation with authorities left him with the option only to cease and desist. There are individuals, however, who are incapable of forfeit, and when demanded to do so, merely grow in ambition. Alistaire continued production under the alias Devereux Lestrade.

              For considerable years did Devereux resume his collection of illegal profit, but it was not these actions that he paid his life for. Upon discovery of the male's frequents with a female of the name Alexandria Cerise, a relative produced a mercenary-for-hire whose intent was Devereux's head. His youthful foolishness bred hatred which bred only death.

              It was not death which Alistaire feared.


        Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ [ 二 ] : The Bird Sings, But Cannot Speak
        "He who loses his life has only just discovered it."
              The nameless and, quite frankly, lossless soul of Alistaire Manovrare found its place of arrival to be a location commonly referred to amongst the peoples as the 56th District of the Rukongai. The man new little of the language being presently spoken in this region, - beyond its evident Asian descent - however it was in his nature to adapt with spontaneity. Having combatted both the lifestyle and tongues for the beginning of his reckoning, the male took what would be his third and final name: Kohaku Shiritori, or "taking of the amber buttocks" [a formal play-on-words]. It all was apparently comfortable to the newcomer.

              As Kohaku began his proper adjustment, it was toward the casinos that he was attracted. His lust for adrenaline and the manipulation of probability and risk remained about his person, being easily enticed by the curiosity of this realm in which he found himself. There were no restrictions that bound him nor a fate from which he was required to flee. One might have suggested that the male need not avoid fate, for fate was indebted to him. Kohaku hastily ascended the 56th District of the Rukongai as an individual, utilising any potential opportunity for advantage that was to witness. It was he who provided service not for others, but himself. The Seireitei was the most pristine of freshly netted oysters whose pale shell was merely tempting to be shattered to reveal its delectable contents. The laughable Kohaku did not waste time in reaping what had been sown for him by destiny: an entire plane of existence.

              In time, the name Kohaku "Kitsuka", ironally "empty glare", Shiritori, became recognised throughout the 56th and surrounding districts of the Rukongai as a con and magician who supposedly was believed to never lose a bet within the realm of gambling. Clan and district heads soon began seeking audience within his premises for formal advice. After an expansive career, the bland taste of his mouth caused by the work as an advisor of significant figures caused Kohaku to flee toward the red light districts of the Rukongai. It was then that it occurred to him that through the name he had established as an acting catalyst accompanied by the information that he was capable of obtaining, work as an illegal information broker may possess more worth to the lifestyle he sought.


        Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ [ 三 ] : Songs Are Sung to Those Who Listen
        "Many do not acknowledge that the tongue is concealed by the beak."
              Kohaku's reigning influenced progressed significantly throughout the recourse of its development, the male exchanging word for nothing more than word - not a penny was requested from clients, but he did allow that he could be swayed should they lack value in earnest. And in favour of the females from whom Kohaku had no intentions of thieving of dollar, there were alternative means of payment, as one might suggest. For that knowledge which he considered of little significance, he publicised in a weekly subscribe to those of the general area; this became quickly popular with those who had reason to collect such information.

              Under the alias Kitsuka did Kohaku thrive within his environment, however it happened upon him that those unfamiliar of his identity and functionality began referring to the vague male as "The Songbird with a Silver Tongue". Many spoke of his fame through treachery, but few were so blest to have been acquainted with him. And it was then that this bird came into affiliation with an individual of similar equity that, to him, was presently known as The Widow. To dominating powers within the Rukongai who would establish a bonding force that manipulated the red light district and others to its whim.

              The Songbird and the Widow in their expedition across the arrow time soon came to know one another as Kohaku Shiritori and Kyō. So began a new era of black market and illegal transpirations within the Rukongai.


        Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ [ 四 ] : Birds Were Not Born to Speak
        "Words speak louder than actions when words cannot be spoken."
              It came to fate that members of the political affairs of the Gotei 13 would approach the Songbird with the Silver Tongue for guidance. It was to their benevolent discretion that they provided the male the option either to grant access to the given information and have his charges as an individual dropped, or be sentenced immediately to imprisonment. Kohaku gestured a counterproposal stating that, should he assist the Gotei 13, and, in turn, the entirety of the Seireitei, they not only relieve him of his legal charges, but allow him entrance into the Gotei 13 as a Shinigami that he had much heard tales about. They reluctantly accepted, not recognising at the time the impact that such an individual could establish. He hastily grasped the position of acting Lieutenant of the Ninth Division to utilise his innate prowess and insight to claim success for the Gotei 13 in their endeavours.

              Having concluded his contributions, however, the male presented his resignation and return of position within the Rukongai. It was not Kohaku's immediate intention to become a permanent member of the Gotei 13. He, however, also possessed purpose in manipulating this scenario further to his advantage by allowing the faction to prosper in a time of need. So gained he the title "Deus ex Machina" within those of the Gotei 13 who were then acquainted with him and perhaps were granted the honour to work alongside him. The name only grew in popularity as he returned to aid the Captains on multitudinous occasions to come. Despite his high rate of criminal activity, his debts had already been paid to those of authoritative position.

              Kohaku owed nothing to anyone.


        Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ [ 五 ] : The Aviary
        "One never truly forgets his home."
              It was through Kyō that Kohaku would establish his stance within the Gotei 13 in earnest after the death of the Captain of the Ninth Division. Though his previous Lieutenant proved capable, it was suggested that The Songbird with the Silver Tongue be located and requested to resume in the stead of his former comrade. He, without hesitation, politely declined and stated that his work within the Rukongai could not be so simply abandoned for the sake of the passing of one insignificant man who already possessed a prepared replacement. It would have been more than a pleasure to accept, but true to himself was this an opportunity to acquire additional leverage from the Gotei 13. On the account that he retain his connections to the Rukongai, though abolish his presence within the districts, he acquitted himself to position as the Captain of the Ninth Division: Kohaku Shiritori, the Deus ex Machina.

        Zanpakuto's Personality :: Kami no Seisan is an entity who claims adherence to no ethnicity, gender, or species, but rather a being comprised purely of unstructured Reiatsu who thrives to contaminate and convert others. Its mannerisms are persuasive and straightforward, allowing it little difficulty in the manipulation of others to achieve its intentions and means. It considers Kohaku a partner fated to it and thusly bestows its awareness and knowledge unto him.

        Shikai Appearance :: Kami no Seisan [神の清算, Divine Reckoning]
        Physical Changes :: As Kami no Seisan transcends its sealed state, Reishi of its purest forme begins to manifest around its wielder, being attracted by the release. This coercion causes the user's biologic person to become shrouded in a layer of iridescent green light. To accommodate, the body's pores dilate such that the essence is absorbed through the epithelial tissues to access and enter the circulatory system. As this occurs, the radiance around the user progressively depletes until they return their normal appearance.
        Environmental Changes :: Counterintuitively to most who release their Shikai, upon activation, there is no considerable increase in Reiryoku and any individual of normal health to experience it will withstand the moderate alteration of atmospheric pressure. Electromagnetic frequencies in the environment, however, may shift unexpectedly, resulting in light and sound caused by the presence of Reishi to be momentarily distorted. Depending upon the circumstance and intent of the wielder, those affected may overlook it or be severely disoriented and perturbed. It universally affects all present to the same intensity and does not vary between individuals unless they consciously attempt to nullify it. These distortions continue throughout the duration of Kami no Seisan's Shikai release, though much more subtly.


        Shikai Abilities ::
        Danpen Jisshi Keitai [断片実施形態, Fragmentary Embodiment]: Danpen Jisshi Keitai is a passive ability that activates upon the release of Kami no Seisan's Shikai. It modifies the biology of the user such that the circulatory system becomes accustomed to transmitting pure Reishi throughout the body, its course dictated by the heart, similarly to blood. This allows the body to both absorb and excrete Reishi as it is exposed to it. Excess Reishi emanates around the wielder as an iridescent green light.
        Sōdai Fukkatsu [壮大復活, Grand Rebirth]: Sōdai Fukkatsu is the first technique and basis upon which Kami no Seisan's cyclical system of Reishi can function, succeeding Kazaru and preceding Yūbi ni Modorimasu. Upon activation, the wielder selects a body of Reishi or Reiatsu and provides sentience to it by contaminating it with the Reishi that they have absorbed into their own body. This Reishi envelopes it, providing it a free will independent of others so that it may act as an individual entity. Those affected possess no particular intent to harm others and if their initial purpose was to damage another prior to their receiving consciousness, they will abscond in such a manner that no lifeforms are injured. Bodies of energy altered by Sōdai Fukkatsu lose all destructive potency for the duration of their sentience.
        Yūbi ni Modorimasu [優美に戻ります, Return to Grace]: Yūbi ni Modorimasu is the second technique of Kami no Seisan's cyclical system of Reishi, succeeding Sōdai Fukkatsu and preceding Kazaru. Its foundation is based upon the transfer of energy from one object to another. After having contaminated or provided sentience to a body of Reishi, this technique may manipulate that body to the will of the user through the transferral and infectious spread of their own Reiatsu. Remaining sentient, its thoughts become intertwined with those of the wielder and it serves only to satisfy those thoughts. Yūbi ni Modorimasu will have no effect upon inanimate sources of Reishi. Manipulated Reiatsu in the forme of Kidō last only their original duration and dissipate thereafter.
        Yūgen Shōten [有限昇天, Finite Ascension]: Yūgen Shōten applies the concept of angles of incidence and reflection to Reiatsu utilised in the Kidō and techniques of other spiritual entities. Prior to being struck by an assault, the wielder may douse their body in the pure Reishi that they have previously absorbed and force it to act as a cushion, which minimises damage to the superficial person and amalgamates the Reiatsu from the onslaught into itself. The attack must be immediately redirected, lest it potentially overpower the user should they choose to not contaminate it. Those techniques that are redirected are done with ten percent less potency than the original per post of prolonging. This Reiatsu cannot be absorbed into the body as a result of being impure.
        Unmei Uranai [運命占い, Fated Divination]: Unmei Uranai grants insight to all that is and is not within the spectrum of reality. By utilising the cloth mounted upon the hilt of Kami no Seisan as a catalyst, this technique allows the wielder to visualise existential occurrences, events that are occurring, have occurred, will occur, or might occur. This is accomplished by means of the second law of thermodynamics, which determines that the state of entropy of the universe, as an isolated system, will always expand across the arrow of time and will never be negative. This simultaneously justifies that all Reishi, the structure of the universe, is eternally recycled, but never decreases nor increases in amount. Therefore, by analysing present Reishi within the environment, one may know the past and present, as well as predict the probable and improbable futures. These scenes manifest themselves upon the cloth of Kami no Seisan.
        Kazaru [飾る, Embellish]: Kazaru is the final technique of Kami no Seisan's cyclical system of Reishi, succeeding Yūgen Shōten and preceding Sōdai Fukkatsu.         Physical Changes :: As Shikai becomes Bankai, the wielder of Kami no Seisan, too, evolves and adapts to its new environment. The pure Reishi that was collected during the Zanpakuto's prior transformation is secreted from the pores and envelopes the body of the user, assuming an appearance likened to the spirit of the blade: a black and green amalgamation of unstructured sentient Reishi. Though this layer possesses its own processes of thought, its actions depend primarily of those of the wielder and it cannot disobey their demands, however it can act separately of them.
        Environmental Changes :: Similarly to the environmental alterations of Kami no Seisan's Shikai, when Bankai is released, the Reiryoku within the atmosphere increases by only a startlingly minimal quantity. It is significant enough that Seated members may detect the transition, however its pressure is not so great that they will be physically affected by it. However, the disruptive force of Kami no Seisan becomes so great that structural bonds of Reishi begin to weaken within a fifteen metre radius of the wielder. Those lifeforms that are affected by it may feel nauseous and exhibit symptoms of vertigo, accompanied by a need to exert greater Reiryoku to maintain their ability to function as effectively as normal by sustaining their foundational structure. Throughout the duration of Kami no Seisan's Bankai, inanimate objects within its range of effect may begin to emit iridescent green particles of pure Reishi, such as that observed in Shikai. Given that they are subjected to it for extended periods of time, they may dissipate entirely into the atmosphere.


        Bankai Abilities ::
        Kami no Jisshi Keitai [神の実施形態, Divine Embodiment]: Kami no Jisshi Keitai is a passive ability that activates upon the release of Kami no Seisan's Bankai. As the representation of Kami no Seisan's spirit consumes the body of the wielder, the amalgamation of Reishi bonds to the epithelial layer of the skin, binding to create a singular organism. This allows the user's person to become amorphous and not possess a designated shape, as it may mould superfluously within the environment, granted that it does not exceed its containment if it has any. When struck by Reiatsu or pure Reishi, this body may absorb it and receive no collateral damage or consequence. Should it retain a Kidō, it may reflect that technique within one post. Should it wait for a duration longer, the Reiatsu will have already been melded into the body and prove no offensive use. It can absorb Reiatsu based attacks from Zanpakutō, but is incapable of reflecting them as a causality of their unique nature.
        Sozai Shōka [素材昇華, Material Sublimation]: Sozai Shōka is the epitome of Kami no Seisan's prowess regarding the manipulation of Reishi. Though it cannot be created nor destroyed, the Zanpakutō recognises that it may change forme and that the Reishi present within the current reality will, along the course of the arrow of time, become the Reishi not of that which is present but of that which is to come, its use recycled but state remaining same. Thus, Reishi may be prematurely recycled, as it only is fated to return to its pure state without determination regarding when. Sozai Shōkai causes structured Reishi to dissipate into the atmosphere, losing its present forme to enter the passage of time for later rebirth. Inanimate and insentient objects of matter may be terminated nigh instantaneously, being relieved of their current existence. Willing sentient beings may also be terminated at such a rate. Unwilling sentients cannot be terminated, however should they be wholly dissuaded in heart and mind, their erasure may no differently be swift. Those entities that are chosen become amalgamated into the hive mind that is Kami no Seisan's Bankai, their minds corrupted similarly to those contaminated by Yūbi ni Modorimasu.
        Kon'nyū Chūnyū [混入注入, Infectious Contamination]: Kon'nyū Chūnyū is predominantly a defense mechanism for the wielder beneath the exoskeleton of Kami no Jisshi Keitai. Upon penetration of Kami no Jisshi Keitai and piercing of the skin beneath, excess Reishi stored within the circulatory system responds by sealing the wound as if a clot. It is incapable of restoring damage to the body, however, and only prevents the worsening of injury by not allowing further disorder to the organic structure of the wielder. They will still require medical attention to restore any internal trauma received. Kon'nyū Chūnyū simultaneously also functions as a defensive mechanism to deter that which assaulted the user. Given that the wielder's blood was picked up by the offensive weapon, the cells will travel toward the body in search of entrance points to allow for a preemptive assailing use of Seigi Shukufuku.
        Seigi Shukufuku [正義祝福, Righteous Blessing]: Seigi Shukufuku proves Kami no Seisan's only ability intended to directly affect others. Those willing to be contaminated by the wielder's Reishi and have it enter their circulatory system may be blest by its prowess. Upon activation of Seigi Shukufuku within their bodies, they are granted telepathic communication with the wielder, accompanied by minor absorption and healing abilities displayed by other techniques. Those individuals who are contaminated with ill intent become infected by the Reishi, it acting as if a Reiatsu leech, absorbing the Reiatsu present within the host and secreting it through their pores. Minimal amounts of infection cannot harm a person beyond exhaustion, however in great quantities they may be fatal. After twenty posts of minimal infection will an individual tire from exhaustion; fifteen posts of sustained combat of will prove severely injuring [or twenty-five posts of non-combat].
        Unmei no Yogen [運命の予言, Prophecy of Fate]: Unmei no Yogen is the elder technique of Unmei Uranai. Contrarily to its younger sibling, Unmei no Yogan is a technique which directly alters the space-time environment by conforming Reishi to what remnants of history remain within them. It, too, utilises the principle of the second law of thermodynamics, however as opposed to manipulating the cloth upon Kami no Seisan [which, in Bankai, is not present], it imposes scenes upon the present surroundings. However, this technique merely alters the naturally occurring Reishi within the area to assume a state that is has been in previous years or will be in years to come. It cannot replicate an environment that is presently existing, as those particles of Reishi are already occupying a particular space at that particular time and cannot be borrowed. It may even imitate those individuals that have or will live, but they will not be persons, themselves, rather mere spatial reflections of who they were during their given time. A setting may only be imposed once per five posts, and a character only once per three posts. They may be expelled at any given time, however they can last no longer than the duration of Bankai.
        Jitsuzon Chōetsu [実存超越, Existential Transcendence]: Given that Sozai Shōka is Kami no Seisan's epitome of space, Jitsuzon Chōetsu is the epitome of Reishi as it adheres to time. The wielder may disperse their own pure Reishi into the environment, allowing them to simultaneously exist in multiple spaces, each a representation of their person at various periods of their existence depending upon the age of the specific particles in question. Only one of these persons may be actively "alive" at one time, the others mere shells who possess the same characteristics of the original user. At a provided time, the currently sentient body may be altered and abandoned. Should the wielder relocate to a new representation, they will suffer all of the age and health related effects of their person at that time. Inactive representations cannot utilise combative abilities, Zanpakutō included, but can act and move freely as individuals. A transition can only occur once per Bankai, but as many representations can be present as desired.
