Ishy settled down into a chair outside as she watched Seymour, her newly adopted son play on the new swingset she’d recently purchased. It had been strange at first, having a little one around the house. So many years alone made one used to silence. With a child under towe, though, everything had changed. No longer did she have a private life. She no longer slept alone every night. Instead she had a small goblin following her around and crawling into bed whenever he had a bad dream.

Ishy wouldn’t change it for the world, though. Having Seymour in her life made her realize just how badly she had wanted a child. Going the adoption route had been the best option, for her first child, too. Though, lately, Seymour seemed lonely — and often talked to himself. Ishy chalked it up to just an imaginary friend and also being a daydream at the academy. He was different and the nightmares of below were not yet used to having the daydreams from above in their lives.

She opened the paper she’d brought out with her, eyes scanning over the various articles within. Ishy stopped on one, blinking when she realized that it wasn’t actually an article, but an ad. Some sort of mixer party was being held nearby. She tilted her head as she read through the whole ad and then glanced up in Seymour’s direction. Perhaps a sibling would do him some good? And if she had someone else to imbue the stone with...well that would be even better. She made a mental note of the time, date and location before closing it and pushing up out of the chair and moved towards Seymour.
