The weather had drastically cooled down. The winter was coming and it wouldn't be her first one but it would be her first one alone here on Earth. Thankfully her wing had healed so she was able to fly again. She weaved her way though the barren trees as the sun began to set. Her long silver hair that ended in mist glistened in the sun's ray.
"I know that there are some apple tree's around here..." She was hoping to find some apples before night fell but it wasn't looking like a promising quest. A cold breeze made its way through the tree's and pushed against her pelt. Her 'Winter coat' as other called it, was coming in. So it helped stave off that coldness.

Lootah had yet to encounter his first winter, but he certainly wasn't liking it. The foal huffed and puffed, kicking through the dead leaves of fall and trying to warm up his scrawny legs. His teal eyes surveyed the area, looking for any movement in the trees. His mother was unlikely to leave him alone for long, so he was going to make the best of his little adventure.
He continued along through the crunching leaves, the sun on his flimsy wings not making up at all for the frigid breeze. He blew into the air, giggling at the steam coming from his mouth. He did this several more times as he went along, far too busy watching his breath to notice the angeni mare not too far from him.

The mare was sniffing at the air when she started to hear a strange sound. "What on..." She turned her head to look over her shoulder and there was this small foal. She looked beyond him, no doubt his mother would be near by right? But as her silver eyes looked down the path there was no one in sight. She looked back to the foal and frowned a little, stomping in where she was. The apple wouldn't go anywhere, and as she stood there she watched as he took pleasure from seeing his breath before him.
"Having fun, little one?" She asked in a sweet voice. If he was alone the last thing she wanted to do was spook him. "So you know where the apple trees are in this area?"

Lootah's eyes widened and he jumped in place at the unexpected voice. He sputtered a little bit and blushed in embarrassment. "Uuuuh. Yeah, it was kinda fun, I guess." He looked around warily, hoping he would see his mother and that she would tell him if it was all right to talk to this mare. Upon noticing her lack of presence, however, the little hybrid shifted his weight from one side to the other uncomfortably.
Huffing, he noticed his breath again and giggled. "Ooooh, apple trees?!" The thought of his mother seemed to immediately flee from his easily distracted young mind, and he beamed. "Yeah, I know where you can find some of those! Great Grammy Midori has a whooooole bunch that she's shown me, and she never minds sharing!"
