Terry had found himself looking forward and anticipating the weekend and the plans that would come along with it. He had made sure to text the address of the rink and a reminder to wear something warm but easy to move around in to Seung the night they had dinner after he had gotten home. He had then talked it over with his mom to make sure he would be fully prepared to teach someone else how to skate right and the easiest ways to keep them comfortable on the ice, his own teaching having been so long ago he had wanted to double check.
So now that the day and time arrived he found himself standing in front of the rink with a smile on his face and a box at his feet as he waited for Seung to arrive. He was wearing some black slacks and a dark blue turtleneck sweater, while he kept a jacket in his backpack for later. His personal ice skates were hanging from the special straps on his backpack.

While he'd been looking for places to learn martial arts, his computer was a good source of such information and help, he'd gotten the text from Terry that night. Clothing had been picked out, while he had worked on finding a place to learn self defense, and left out for the upcoming weekend. He had gone with clothing made by under armor, something warm he could be outside in, but it also fit him tightly in all the right...or wrong places. The shirt was a turtle neck style top that showed he did have some size to his arms whilst his waist was rather small, at least by most peoples standards. The pants were snug fitting as well and he was sure would leave him mobile enough to skate. The clothing had been bought a while back, before he'd moved here, but only worn once before. Looks like he might have a use for it now.
He'd gone out the next day to buy something to wear over the top, to ensure his warmth, and had ended up with a warm, but thin, northface zip up in black. That night though, when he'd just gotten the address, he'd looked it up and found directions and sent them to his phone so he'd have them for Saturday.
When he arrived it was dressed, warmer clothing for later in the pack he had, while he had a set of earbuds in blasting some music. He looked the same as their last meeting, save the difference in clothing, his hair was the same, the piercings, the make up, and everything else as he made his approach to the rink and soon enough saw the other standing there - everyone else was moving around so spotting someone standing still was easy to do. "Terry." Calling out as he waved.
Quickening his pace he arrived in front of the other soon enough. "Have you waited long?"

Terry looked over when he heard his name called and waved back when he spotted Seung. "Glad you could make it. No I haven't been waiting very long, maybe five minutes at most." He said with a smile. He then bent down and picked up the box. "Were you able to get here alright?" He asked then held out the box to his friend. "I got you something that will come in handy when learning ice skating." He said with a small smile. Inside the box was a pair of ice skates in Seung's size.

"That's good. I didn't want to make you wait." He had tried to make sure he got there on time, leaving early in order to do so, he had double checked the directions to the place even, and let the gps lead him by voice to the location. It had gone well as he was on time, he hadn't taken the scenic route as his gps seemed to enjoy sending him that route when he was looking to get places. That often left him trying to figure out his way on his own, to a point anyway.
"Oh?" He asked before staring down at the box the other held out .Was it what he thought it was? Taking the box with one hand, balancing it carefully, he opened it and stared. Inside there were ice skates. " Thank you." Bowing to the other he flashed a smile. "I can pay back later." He really should pay the other back, he could, and he would if he was allowed to. This was unexpected, he had heard they did rentals and figured that would be what he'd do.

Terry nodded at Seung. He wouldn't have minded even if he had, had to wait on the other man as he would have understood, but didn't give it much thought since it was a non issue. "You're welcome and don't worry about paying me back, they are a gift." He said with a smile and a shrug. "When learning, it's better to have your own pair because you will end up getting used to which ever pair you are wearing at the time and it could throw you off next time if you have to switch." He then gestured to the building. "Lets go in and make sure they work for you. They might be a bit uncomfortable for a bit since they are new though."

"You sure?" he asked, staring down at the skates. They had to have cost a lot, right? he didn't know for sure how much they cost but it had to be a decent amount, not something you typically gave a brand new friend - right? Biting down on his lip he hesitated a moment before nodding slowly, accepting the gift as just that - a gift. He'd let the other pay for it and not try and pay him back, for once.
"Oh...so not like shoes." Where you could wear various pairs all the time. You might get used to a pair but it wasn't hard to switch to something different. He wouldn't have thought of that, they seemed all the same to him...a boot with a metal blade on the bottom. "Like new shoes?" He asked. So a time needed to break them in, if he was guessing right. That was fine, he'd broken in how many pairs of shoes in his life? People bought, and broke in, new pairs of shoes all the time. Nodding he followed the other, trailing right behind him. This was new for him and he was planning to play..copy cat, that was it right? The other had said that at the restaurant right? Well, now it was his turn to copy the others motions and learn.

"Absolutely." If asked, Terry would admit that he got a discount on them thanks to the fact that the shop he bought them belonged to a family friend. Beyond that they were a gift so he was quite happy when Seung looked like he was just going to accept them as such. He nodded at the questions. "Right, because sometimes the blade is sharper or a bit shorter, things like that when you just rent." At least that's what he heard since he had always had his own pair. "Yes like normal shoes you have to break them in a bit." He said as he lead Seung into the rink. He paid the small fee for them both and rented a locker for their packs. "Have you ever roller bladed before?" He asked as he moved to the locker to start putting stuff away,

"Oh..." he could understand being sharper, they did need to get sharpened from time to time, right? But would that really make such a difference? He wouldn't have thought so but it seemed like it did, or would. But why would blades be shorter? If the shoe, or in this case skate, size didn't change why shorter blades? Rather than ask he followed behind the other and let Terry pay for them both.
His own pack got put into a locket before he turned to him and shook his head. "Too dangerous. Cycle though." The drivers back home were rather dangerous so that would not be a good idea, plus everyone used bicycles and there were places for them all over the place.

Terry slipped his tennis shoes off and tucked them into the locker along with his pack after unhooking his skates. "Alright so you are going into this with nothing to compare." He said then pointed to one of the nearby benches. "First things first, you are going to want to sit down when you put them on for the first time." He wouldn't want Seung to fall over since he wasn't used to balancing on the blades.

With his shoes off, and inside the locker, he followed the others instructions and in socked feet he headed to the bench and sat himself down. The boxed skates were opened and the skates taken out slowly, one at a time, as if he might beak them. Taking note of the weight he set them down and unzipping his northface he rolled up the sleeves as well.
Right foot than left foot were slipped into the skates as he loosened the laces enough for him to do so. With both feet in he set about lacing them up, making sure they were snug but not too tightly laced. "Ok."

Once he was sure that everything was inside the locker, Terry closed it then moved to sit down by Seung. He slipped on his skates on and laced them tight. He then got to his feet and held his hand out for Seung to take. "Alright, use me for balance and get up slowly." He said with a half smile. Staring up at the other he nodded once, seeming rather hesitant and perhaps a bit nervous. Grasping the others hand he slowly, wobbling the whole while, got to his feet and shifted some, his legs buckling inward and bowing outward as he tried to balance on the blades. "Very odd."
The balance was found, slowly, as he reached out with his other hand to rest it on Terry's shoulder as he sought the others support. Standing there, taller than he could ever remember being, he was a bit wide eyed with a sort of impressed look on his face. Dark eyes staring at the other as a smile curled his lips.

Terry gripped Seung's hand as the other fought for his balance. When the other man also put his hand on his shoulder, Terry put his free hand under Seung's elbow. "A bit odd to get used to yes." When the other Knight smiled, he smiled back. "If you think you have your balance, hold it there for a bit to make sure." He knew that sometimes you could seem to have the hold of it and get thrown off fairly easily.

Nodding to the others words he shifted, taking a very small step, as he leaned in and pressed close to the other as he held onto Terry for support. "Odd yes, new height and balance." He answered as he kept close to the other so he was less likely to have issues. Rather than holding the others hand that hand, his left, moved to drape itself over Terry's shoulder as he moved closer to look over the others shoulder at some people. A group of young girls chattering about something. Rather caught up in watching them. and uncaring to the position they were in, he didn't think about what the other might think. Natsuko-neko So one hand, right, on Terry's shoulder and his left hand/arm draped over Terry's shoulder and leaning over said should to look at other people. Standing close. Poor Terry and the personal space bubble. Oh, and if you ever want my aim is SolsticesContent

Terry almost twitched when Seung moved in closer but managed to hold himself still in time. He didn't want to end up throwing the other man's balance off even though he wasn't very comfortable with him being that close. "That it is. It will be even odder once you are trying to balance out of the ice so it's best to get a decent grasp on it while you are still on the carpet." He said with a nod. Sleet Tempest Snape Thanks ouob Yes, if he was a cat his tail would probably be a bottle brush lol
