Since the.... incident, Zev hadn't really powered up. He was aware he could. He was aware of more of what was going on in the city. But the idea of taking on the... appearance of Hati again made his skin crawl and jaw tighten. He'd wanted to keep Anna away from that bullshit, away from the same dangers that resulted in her kidnapping.
Now it was back. This time, they were both pulled in above their heads, far as he was concerned. Maybe she was less apprehensive, but in Zev's mind, his trailing behind her always seemed to allow him a broader view of what they were walking--or running--into.
Gritting his teeth and ignoring the slight bite of the day's chill, somewhat beaten back by the sun above, Zev continued his walks down the streets he'd known most of his life, silver eyes passing easily over the different playgrounds, stores, and empty lots he'd all but grown up in. One feature held his attention slightly longer than the others, the barest smile sliding across his features. It was the skateboard park, a few guys and chicks using it even now despite the hint of winter in the day. The pavement was long since covered in graffiti--including a few pieces of Zev's, which he eyed considerably now, pleased to see they hadn't been intruded on by other works. With no snow currently on the ground, the colorful pieces helped to lighten up the otherwise dismal grounds.
The tall youth had just figured he'd keep going. No reason to stop and stare. But something caught his eye again, and he stopped. Stared. And squinted his eyes a bit until they winded with a flick of recognition. Well... he'd be ******** damned. "Caspian? That ******** you?"
