After the battle at the gates, 3 years will elapse. During this time, Uzushiogakure will close down and merge with Amegakure, creating one super power. All ranks will remain the same. no bonuses from this time skip, I.e. jutsu learned or rank ups for lower ranks or at least the planning of an upcoming Chunnin exams
