It was a fine evening for exploring, thought Pyewacket as he trotted along the pavement through the chill winter air, keeping as close to the shadows cast by the streetlamps as he could. The blue-grey cat blended well with the shadows, keeping him out of the view of prying eyes; the only indication of his passing was the faint jingle of the bell on his collar.
As always when he was out on his wanderings, the Mauvian kept his awareness heightened for both Order and Chaos signatures. Order because that meant new people to meet, Chaos because… well, they would want to kill him. He didn't detect either so far this evening, though, and that pleased him. There were times when a cat just had to explore on their own. Besides, one never quite knew what one would come across.
Running across the street, Pyewacket entered the park, always a good place to explore. It wasn't long, though, before he saw something that made him tilt his head -- a girl, wasn't more than a child, sitting alone under a tree playing a game controller. She was so caught up in what she was doing, apparently, that she didn't even notice him. Which meant she wouldn't notice a Negaverse agent, or worse, a monster.
He trotted up to her and began meowing, trying to get her attention somehow. It wasn't safe for a child to be out at this hour! At the same time, he reached out with his senses as he always did whenever he encountered a human, trying to detect if there was more to them than met the eye. There… deep inside her was the unmistakable pure pulse of a senshi.
The cat stopped in his tracks. A child? He'd never detected a senshi starseed in a child before. But that didn't mean it couldn't happen…
Checking to make sure they were truly alone, he walked up to her and sat down on the frost-covered grass. "Hello," he said, a slight reassuring purr in his voice. "What are you doing here all alone?"
