This is Liryn.
Sorry to message you out of the blue, but Athene and I are trying to find Ida. She went out on patrol but hasn't come back and she's not picking up her messages.
If any of you have heard anything then please let either Athene or myself know - even if it's just to say that she's gone to Ida.
It was late, given the hours of the Catfe, but Thraen hadn't expected any messages to chime his phone the very moment he'd powered up. Worse were the implications of the message itself- long absences for any of their kind, especially in the few instances where it was able to be noticed by living with other senshi, or having a team that would keep abreast of it's members, meant that there was death or worse on the line. The efforts to find Amphitrite from the last New Year's Eve had gone woefully.
This was poor news to start out this holiday the same. Ida and I have no great contact or connection, but she's valuable and cherished by plenty of others, most like. Why didn't Athene mention she was missing? Why am I hearing this from Liryn? 'not picking up her messages'...from her senshi phone? From her real phone? It's so little information, and they've no doubt covered bases. But it's worth it to check to not recover tracks already made to get some clarification.
The eternal of gardens thumbed in an immediate reply. There was no telling when Liryn would get it.
SMS Thraen:
Liryn,
I haven't heard from Orah or Ida in at least half a year, so I'm afraid I'm little help on that front. How long has she been missing? Has her family been checked for vacation plans, or if she's just holed up in her old room (or some equally mundane explanation)? I expect you have, but it would save me that footwork to know if it's already covered. Civilian phone and senshi phone are both no go?
Faust and I will search out any eternal signatures we find. I'll check with the city morgue as well regarding Jane Does, morbid as that is. It's a reality of Destiny City and Senshi life. Maia's brother might be able to check Jane Doe's at the hospitals, if she's been admitted with no ID and in critical condition from a bad run with an enemy. I'll pass this on.
After hitting the send on that, he filled another few moments fulfilling his word to compose a message to the other immediate leaders of the community effort.
There's word from the PSSG, of sorts.
Eternal Ida of Orchids is missing, I don't have details yet, but does anyone have any news of her? Is she laying low with anyone out there? Have any Negaverse or Dark Mirror connections intimated any plans like to last New Year's abductions or chatted of new recruits? Ask around your chains of contacts if you can. Keep an ear and sense out for any eternal aura when you or your teams patrol, if you can. I'll check the city Medical Examiner's Unidentified Bodies
Ash, is there any way you could priority a CSI-style GPS triangulation on her civilian cellphone? It would have to be powered on, which is a factor of time she's been missing, if it has battery, and whether it's in Elsewhere if she's powered up. It's a possibility. Let me know.
That also sent, Thraen powered down again briefly. The City and County sites for unidentified individuals were best accessed from a civilian internet source. They had a good system, like most big cities, with uploaded images that could include retouched facial photographs, photographs of tattoos and/or personal effects found with the remains. He had the benefit of having met Orah as a civilian to be able to recognize her- if she was dead, she would have reverted out of her uniform. It was a grim thought, and a grim reminder of so many other realities. He'd go on patrol once he had checked each and every entry for females between 16 and 25.
