Altais rubbed his chin as he stared through Crims arms, looking at the motherboard of one of the man's many ships. After leaving Altais and travelling with Elu till she was returned home, he was not under apprenticeship of the Space pirate and his fantastic ways of the space travel world.
Did he miss Altais? Sometimes, but in the exchange, he could see worlds upon worlds. He had seen greener planets then his own, or planets that were just as dismal and abandoned.
He felt, much greater in the knowledge of the world. With that though, came a slow learning process of the other worlds and how they behaved.
Mostly he missed Elu because she was easy to talk to and understood him! Not that Crims didn't, he just....liked Elu a lot.
"So when do I get to fly....?"

Crims had taken upon the senshi Altais per the request of Elu, once she'd managed to get back to her star and the knight had come to check on her. (Along with collecting his crewmates that he'd lent.) The young man had been eager to see more of space, even when he'd been terribly disappointed that the redhead could not continue to accompany him, and, before he could think twice, Crims had offered to teach him the tricks of being a space pirate.
"Well," Crims said slowly, glancing at the man by his side. "We're almost at our destination, but I suppose I can let you finish the journey and dock us."
He stepped back, gestured for Altais to take the helm. "You should recognize the planet."
They were approaching Denebola.

"Yesssssssssssss." Altais bounced over to the helm, placing his hands over the device and preparing the descent. At first, he squinted at the planet, as it did have a certain pull to it.
The closer they got though, the more excited Altais got before he was pointing at it beyond the glass shield. "DENEBOLA." His flight down wasn't Spectacular of course, and as he went about the way of parking the ship in Denebola's designated free area's, it was with a shaky landing and just a bit of a bump to make Altais laugh.
"Almost got it. Are we visiting Elu?" He asked innocently to the man, because if they weren't then he was going to mope in his cabin.
For a very long time. Like a whole week.

Crims winced at the bumpy landing, thankful that they'd taken one of his other ships -- the Dragonfly -- instead of Southern Lights on this particular voyage. "We will talk about how to do that more smoothly later, I have some business I need to attend to. Mouse requested to see me." Mouse was the crew member that he'd adopted from Denebola, who opted to stay with his homeworld's senshi for protection.
Even if Elu had argued over whether or not she needed protecting. Eventually she had caved, because both Crims and Altais seemed to think it was a good idea. It was better safe than sorry.
"I don't know if we'll see her," Crims admitted, offering his companion a sympathetic smile. "From our last correspondence, it sounded like she was busy." He swallowed, nearly looked like he might be hiding something before he cocked his head.
"Come on, let's go." He headed out towards the dock.
If a certain redhead was waiting at the foot of the platform, he didn't say anything.

Altais scoffed and then retracted his scoff and turned it into a wide smile. "But is better no? Much better then landing the other times. Didn't squish all small animals-" He was kidding, last time he probably landed, he may of crushed a field of flowers okay.
"Ah, yes Mouse! New guardian with Elu." he followed after the dark haired man, "What does he want? Are you sure we won't see Elu? What if I go see her while you do your-" He thought if he bombarded Crims with questions, he could somehow sneak his way out of meeting with 'mouse' and instead meeting with Elu!
"I am just saying that I am not important to-ELUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU." The redhead waiting at the platform was immediately the focus of Al's attention and he sprang forward much like a excited puppy would, holding the woman in a very tender but excited hug. "Crims said I wouldn't get to see you!"

"Mouse is coming back to the crew," Crims replied nonchalantly, stepping onto the landing platform with his hands behind his head. "We just needed to get some things sorted. She mentioned having some meetings I don't think--" The knight was cut off by the loud exclamation.
He grinned broadly at his companion as he bounded down the ramp and launched himself into the woman's arms. He took the opportunity to slip away and leave them alone.
"Altais!" She squeaked, pleasantly surprised when he wrapped his arms around her. Laughter spilled out of her lips when she hugged him back, wrapping her arms across his shoulders and pressed her nose into his neck. "You've been gone so long," she whispered, closing her eyes as she leaned into him.
She hadn't expected to miss him so much when he finally left, but the man had grown on her immensely and there'd been a dull ache in her chest in his absence.

"Oh, really?" Altais narrowed his eyes a bit, a little troubled. "But then who will...ah...help Elu?" He really didn't get a response after, since he ran away and then Crims MAGICALLY disappeared.
"Elu, Elu, Elu." Altais bounced, "Crims said that I wouldn't get to see you after so long, that we were just here to get Mouse, but here you are! How did you know? I'm really glad to see you! I LANDED THE SHIP." He spoke in babbling excitement.
"Have you been okay? Have you been eating? Are you okay?" He looked around. In case people were like...after her.

"Crims lied," Elu admitted, sheepishly. "I asked him to come--" she halted, suddenly embarrassed, pulling away. She tucked a loose piece of hair back behind her ear and looked away, feeling her cheeks heat. "I wanted to see you," she forced out, glancing up at him from beneath lashes. 'I wanted-- I wanted it to be a surprise."
Fingers toyed with the animal skin dress that she wore before she said, "I missed you."
It'd been hard for her to not miss him after spending so long on the same ship together. She'd begun to rely on him after all, knowing that he would have her back and be there for her when she needed him.
His concern made her laugh brightly, grasping at the front of his shirt like she needed some point of contact. "I'm okay, I've been good. Things they're-- they good," she breathed confidently. "The hunts have been good and it's been good to be home I just--"
She wasn't going to tell him about the consorts they were trying to force upon her, not yet. "I missed you is all. What about you, how are you? Are you liking the space seas?"

"You...Asked?" He blinked slowly, "It was a surprise?" Altais stepped back and then shook his fist at the ship. "YOU GOT ME CRIMS, YOU...YOU....AUUUUUUUUUUGH." But he was so happy so it was like.
His arms rested on her shoulders in easy companionship and he leaned down to nuzzle his cheek against hers. "I see you, with such confidence! It makes me really happy! I'm glad it's been good, I was really worried. Because like, you know. I always worry a little. BUT I KNOW YOU'RE STRONG. And you can like handle ANYTHING."
He stopped, "It's nice! But it's not the same I think without you. I don't like seeing all the places as much as I thought! But once I learn to control my own ship, then I can come visit you anytime! And Crims is fun. Well he's okay. He teaches me a lot!" He rested his chin on the top of her head. There was a happy hum coming from the senshi.

Correspondence was easier with Crims than it was with Altais and the ginger often used the knight to relay her messages to the senshi when her letters took too long to reach him. The difficulties made it easier for her to surprise him, with things like this and his easy affection was welcomed in a way it wouldn't be with anyone else.
She leaned into the nuzzling, unable to keep the happy grin from her face when she reached for his arms, gripped at his biceps. "I worry about you too, you know," she admitted. It'd been an adjustment, going from fending for just herself or herself and Al, to having her people huddle around her and constantly checking up on her.
Things were better, but it wasn't the same as it'd once been.
"Well, you'll just have to visit me often and steal me away," she teased cocking her head to indicate she wanted him to walk with her. "Crims is a good friend to have, without him. You would have never met me and who knows where in the universe I'd be." Probably still a slave to some barbaric owner.
"I actually had something I wanted to ask you."

"I will steal you all the time! I saw a planet where we had to dive into the water and the cities were there, and another that was so hot, I thought I was going to melt! But I kept thinking that yours is so nice!" He looked around, at the green tropical like. It reminded him a little of his home, but seemed to have a deeper yearning for. He could think fondly of his planet, but he needed to come to Denebola.
"He is a good guy, mischevious though." He winked and then cocked his head. "Ask me? What is it?" He tried really hard to make sure to not ask if she was okay because like...
She was happy!

"I'd like that very, very much," she admitted happily. "I saw many places before I crashed on Altais, maybe one day I can show them to you." There were some that she never wished to return to but others, she wanted to properly thank the people that'd helped her. "And you can show me the places you've been to without me."
She laughed pleasantly when he told her that Denebola was his favorite.
"Well, it's definitely my favorite," she said, reaching back for his hand.
"There is a Gala, at the wonder Osum, I--received an invitation," she hesitated, looking sheepish and unsure. "W-would you be my date?"

her question made him stop and then look apprehensive.
Inside, he was practically exploding with YES YES YES YES.
But he wanted to think of her position to the gala and the planet of Denebola.
"Is...Can..." He faltered with the words. "This is okay? To take me?" He looked around, expecting someone to be like NO.

Her cheeks flushed, skin turning nearly the same color red as the hair that cascaded across her shoulders when he stopped. "A-altais?" His name came out strangled and she felt panic hammering at her chest.
Fear gripped at her heart at the idea he might say no, but then the question tumbled rom his mouth and she felt her whole body relax.
"Of course it is, I mean--" she hesitated, dropping her gaze to the stone beneath their feet. "I don't want to go with anyone else. Just you, if you'll have me."

"I WILL." He hugged her so tight. "I will go, What should I do, I want to go! I would only go with you!" He bounced. "I don't want anyone else to take you either, or...or anything. I mean if you need it, then yes...."
He stopped.
"What do I wear?"
