Name: Ixtil
Stage: Stage 1
Race: Alk
Gender: Extremist Alkidike
3 Base Traits: Competitive, Merciless, Curious.
Personality:
Competitive: She takes everything as a contest.. and one she must win. She hates losing and will seek to try and beat the other or humiliate them if they win. She will use any teacher or mentor till she has learned all she can then will try to beat the teacher at their own game (like defeat a weapon trainer, make better food than a chief etc) Friends are rivals. Enemies are rivals as well. Everyone is in competition to her.
Merciless: She has no sense of mercy; might makes right! If she can kill you than she has the right. Conversely; if you beat her she will accept it... though she will ever seek to undo it and kill one who beats her and humiliates her.
Curious: If she see's something knew, she wants to now all about it. She wants to know how it lives, how to hunt it, is it edible, can she perform the action as well, can she use it? It is almost always in relation to herself, not to help others.
Selfish: She is incredibly self centered and selfish. Everything is about her, everything revolves around her.. she knows this is not so; but she still thinks that it should be.
Strong willed: She will not be beaten down. She always gets up and goes after things, tries until she succeeds. It takes a lot to dent her confidence, her views, her personality. It will take serious amounts of pain and change to even phase her for more than a few days.

Anger towards Alkidikes: They can return to Aisha but she cannot. This is a very hurtful feeling towards her.. she doesn't understand now why she cannot return. As she grows she believes that the Alkidikes who staid behind are just cowards who don't want to go to war... and they kicked out all the strong ones with backbones who didn't mind voicing their feelings. A part of her wants to destroy those alkidikes.. but then she'd be destroying her mother(Onera) and that is the only thing holding her back from trying to force her way back to Aisha.

Description: complete CC
Accessories: something to deal with bone/crystals of her past kills.

History: She was born to a single mother; Onera. Onera was a sweet kind woman who, due to her crippled legs, could not fight. This injury meant she was treated with less respect than others. Onera had a strong mind and heart though, and preservered and found a way to make herself useful to others. Ixtil learned to hunt and fight from her grandmother and sought to care and provide for her mother. She tended to get into fights with other children when they would tease her about having a crippled mother. Her competitiveness stems from this part of her childhood; always seeing to prove she is no cripple, that she is strong. That her mothers legs may be crippled but she is still strong and is not to be insulted. That she can provide for her mother.

When she turned 11 she fell in with the extremists; their beliefs that Alkidikes were the strongest, that everything belonged to them, that they were better than earthlings connected with something inside her. She liked being told she was strong, needed to be told that. She killed her first person at the age of 13. It came after a long game of chase... and Ixtil became addicted. Chasing something; a contest of hunter and hunted... a chance for the hunter to become the hunted, it was a truly beautiful experience for her. She took a trophy from that kill; the crystals from the shifter's body.

At the age of 14 the extremists marched on Sauti and she joined them; it wasn't a fun fight. Their was no chase, no skill in it. Simply slash and hack and kill before you go killed. It lacked the thrill of a hunt. And when they were banished she was filled with anger; she had lost... not personally but been chosen as a loser by the rest of the her people because of the extremists and their loss. Hearing words of the Matron disgusted her; that was a loser, one who had made her get dragged to this new place and be branded a loser like the rest of them.. This would not stand!

She consoled herself be leaving the group; journeying out to explore the new land and see what treasures it held. Every now and then she'd check back, see if her mother had sent word, or that if her letters to her mother had been delivered; for as mean as she was, Ixtil still cared for the woman who gave her life and raised her to be strong despite her personal weakness. She hates the Matron. The Matron to her is a lying thief and backstabber who got them all into this mess... and stealing part of Aisha to bring here does not sit well with her at all! It should have been a gift... Aisha should have given them a root.. but the Matron ruined any chance of that happening by stealing and Ixtil hates that.

The other extremists she likes; they are often as bloody minded as she is and she likes begin among sisters who are vocal about their feelings. The Elaria though are different. These supposed "sisters" are too weird, too different for Ixtil to ever see as a Sister. They are at best annoying cousins that need to die or are at best nieces who she doesn't mind. The weak are immediately hated upon by her and she wouldn't mind killing them off... if this is to be her people's future than it needs to be strong! No room for the weak!

A note on strength vs weakness. Ixtil herself is more physical.. but she recognizes mental strength as well. Those who are physically weak but have great minds are respected by her... one of the few who are (this is because of her birth mother.) Cowards, no matter their prowess with anything, are disgusting to her. Those who rely upon others and don't try to di things themselves are considered weak as well.

Hi Robo! I'm curious how Ixtil feels about the new tree and the new Elaria? She clearly is an extremist, and is welcome in the camp, so she has to know about what is going on. So is she happy about it? Is she apathetic? Does she think that these creatures are just an extension of the failures of the Matron?

She has mixed feelings.

It isn't Aisha but she cannot return to Aisha so she'll deal with having an off shoot of Aisha (she will see it as the daughter of her Mother... so the tree might be a sister in her eyes). The inability to return to Aisha will fuel her anger towards Alkidikes that can still return she will probably be a lot more hateful towards them than earthlings who she views as things to hunt. She will have no problem venting her anger against Alkidikes and killing them.. after all she did so in the war so what difference does it make? And they will be better challenges to her!

The Elaria she will not view as sisters but rather cousins; their appearance is too different, too odd for them to really be her Sisters. She doesn't have much maternal instinct; kids are.. kids..... she wants challenges not baby sitting! So she doesn't have a lot to do with the new blooms or younglings. She's a bit disgusted actually at the way they are different.

She still feels like she was cheated by the Matron, so theres a huge lack of trust. Ixti thinks the Matron stole the root from AIsha.. that's wrong in her eyes. Blasphemy. It is like this Matorn does not hear the words of Aisha at all... She feels as if it was wrong and the proof of it is the appearance of the Elaria. If it was a real parting gift from Aisha the blooms would be Alkidikes she thinks, not this weird way.

She is withholding judgement if the Elaria are hunt able or not until they grow up(aka does she like them at all?). If they are weak; the weak are fee for her to hunt and kill(and they are a shame upon her species... if this is to be her future than it had damn well be a strong one!) If they are strong she may view them more like nieces. That will depend upon the winners of the Elaria XD But she does not see them as something the Matron brought into life or corrupted by her feelings towards the Matron(I keep spelling it moron :p) . Each person is their own, each person bears their own sin and accomplishments. Ixti's anger for the Matorn is the matron alone. She gets along fine with the other extremists.

You seem to do a pretty good job touching on a lot of things with Ixtli, and then Ely answered one of the only questions I had for her though I do have one more out of curiosity.

How would Ixtli’s feelings change is she found out that the Matron had not stolen the seed? It seems a lot of her hatred stems from this idea that the Matron had stolen something from Aisha so I’m curious to know if her attitude would change if she knew that the Matron had not stolen anything.

If she found out that the seed was instead given to the Matron by one of the other mystics or Aisha... then her hatred would go back to a lesser teenage rebellion towards the Matron .She still doesn't like the Matron for one huge reason: she made Ixtil lose. She lost the war therefore she is weaker.. .and Ixtil is stuck with the weaker leader now.

If the seed was stolen by another (and not on the Matrons orders) her anger would stay the same since the Matron accepted the stolen seed/root/etc instead of returning it to Aisha. Theft she normally doesn't mind.. but this is defiling her Mother Goddess so Ixtil has weird hypocritical thoughts on it.

If the seed was given by Aisha/the other Mystics then Ixtil will feel like while they lost, the Goddess is still there and there's hope of returning (lol nope. No returning for you Ixti.) or at least seeing her mother. She'll feel like the Mother is upset at them for causing such a huge rift, but she hasn't abandoned them but instead wants them to live apart for a while, grow stronger, and become something new. Something better. Its a new path. A real rival for those who stayed behind on Chibale, something to make both of hte tribes grow stronger. (cause obviously Earthling tribes aren't strong enough to provide a challenge for the alkidikes so a new Alk tribe to become the rival sits well with her)
