The page paused to pull her hair up with the scrunchie that she had dropped on the ground before powering up. It was inevitable, no matter how she started out the day, that the moment she summoned the power of her Wonder to change into her alter-ego her hair went down. It was inconvenient and annoying, even if it made her feel a little bit more like an alluring badass.
Unfortunately, Celliwig was no Bond girl in her flowing green dress wielding only a stick as her defense. She could try to be one, but she was always tripping over the hem and she had no idea how she was supposed to defend anything while looking like she'd dressed for the Renaissance Festival.
It didn't keep her from trying to work on her agility that evening, heading to an abandoned lot with some old barrels and barricades that she could rearrange for running and leaping practice... And maybe a bit of stick throwing.

Xibalba still wasn't quite sure what to think or how to feel about running around in a magical roman kilt. Carrying a Nessie ladle, no less. If he thought that the Code was capable of it, he would have thought the thing was having a bit of a joke at his expense. Only, the little he'd seen of the code didn't really give a lot of hope for a sense of humor.
Frowning, he felt something brush against his senses. The last time he'd felt such a thing, it had been on Olympus. Which meant.. what? That another magical type was running about? If so, it might be to his benefit to try and chat them up. Maybe find out some more about this Negaverse thing and this war he was supposed to be fighting.
Stretching out a bit, Xibalba sighed and began to follow in the general direction of the other aura.

Something that Celliwig was going to have to work on, in addition to the rigorous training that she was already putting herself through, was the use of her spider senses. She had never paid much attention to the little blips and bloops and nagging sensations that had tickled at the back of her mind when anyone else was around. It was too easy to brush that off as her usually brand of alien theory paranoia that she just ignored it. One day that would be her downfall. Today she would count herself lucky that the person who came across her was not Chaos aligned. "Damnit." She muttered to herself, eventually pausing long enough to gather her skirt, yanking it up to the side to tie it into a knot that would knock against her knee as she ran. Knocking against her knee, while a distraction, at least wouldn't tip her over or catch on something as she took a run for the hurdles she'd set up. Eventually she was going to get used to this new speed and agility thing...

As Xibalba approached the improvised obstacle course, he whistled softly, impressed by what he saw. Granted, that was before he saw the ginger with her skirt knotted up around her knees. Staring a little, he wondered if she was the source of the aura he'd felt. Certainly, she didn't look familiar, but that sense of magic clung fast to her.
After a few more seconds of stealth staring, he decided that she wasn't a senshi. The symbols on her dress were like others he'd seen on Olympus. This girl was a knight. And as such, it was only right for him to introduce himself.
Moving in closer, he waited until it looked like he wouldn't cause any harm through distraction and cleared his thought.
"Oy, lass," he called. "Leave off that for a mo' an' come say hello. Y're a knight too, aye?"

"Page," she corrected automatically without thinking; without even processing that someone else had entered her space, actually. "Not enough skill to be a knight. One day, maybe..." A wistful sigh and a slow turn of her head alerted her finally to the fact that she hadn't been talking to herself and she wasn't alone. "Oh! Oh." Bright eyes went wide as they drifted over the man that had entered her training space and when she realized that they had drifted a bit to slowly over the strappy expanse of his chest they darted straight back up to his face. "Sorry! Maker's breath, I'm sorry. I didn't..." Lips pursed together, she straightened herself out, brushing fingers back through the wispy mess her hair had become from dashing around. "Celliwig, Page of Earth and thoroughly embarrassed, as usual."

Xibalba had no idea what a Maker's breath was supposed to be, but he recognized flustered embarrassment easily enough. Doing his best to appear as friendly and nonthreatening as possible, he held his hands up to show he wasn't armed and smiled.
"Pleased t'make your acquaintance, Celliwig. My own handle is Xibalba, Page o'Mars. Y'made this course y'rself?"
He paced around a little, taking in the obstacle course and nodding to himself. Clearly, Celliwig wasn't the sort to let a skirt get in the way of her doing things.
"It's good. Y'working more on speed or endurance?"

When she had put her hand she had intended it to be for a handshake. She hadn't factored in getting distracted by his uniform (or lack thereof) again, hand pausing just shy of touching one of his pectorals before she realized what she was doing. Celliwig quickly drew her hand back, coughing in an attempt to hide how flushed she was, glancing back to her makeshift course. "I just rearranged the barrels and the barricades. I took a picture of how they were set up before so that I could put them back once I was done. You can't go on a proper adventure if you're tripping over your own two feet all the time," she made a face at herself before smiling brightly at his praise. "Working on being a little less clumsy."

For one brief, shining moment, Xibalba considered leering cheerfully at Celliwig for her little 'Captain America' moment. Then, that moment was cut off at the metaphorical knees when he remembered that there were at least two ladies who would happily consider chemical castration for him if he gave in to that particular urge with someone who wasn't used to his ways. So rather than leer, he did the gentlemanly thing and pretended like his fellow knight's little slip hadn't happened.
Instead, he examined the course again and smiled. He wouldn't have thought of taking before pictures and covering his own tracks had this been his idea.
"Smart," he said agreeably. "Not so sure I'd be callin' this Knight stuff a proper adventure, but I take the point."
Then, he glanced back at Celliwig and studied her carefully.
"Err, how clumsy are we talkin'?"

"Have you ever tried doing anything athletic in a floor length dress? Let alone one made of heavy material?" Her brow quirked as she glanced up to him, giving him a moment to think of how clumsy that might lead to being. It was better to just let him think that was the reason than to point out that when she wasn't Celliwig, Knight of Earth, she was a normal, nerdy girl prone to dropping books and making bad decisions. "Camelot made it seem exciting; like there was a whole world out there to explore -- Or a whole wonder, at least." She still didn't know a whole lot about that, but rather than let it distract her she quickly added on another question. "Would you like to give the course a go?"

"Nae, can't say as I have. Though I'm not sure the big knot of fabric cloppin' into y'r knees in the answer either."
He wasn't sure who this Camelot was, but with a name like that, he envisioned someone older and probably oozing gravitas. But if this fellow was going around and recruiting people by making it seem like a big magical fairy tale adventure, Xibalba half wondered if he oughtn't to hunt the a*****e down and thump him.
"Wonders are a wee bit over-rate, in my opinion," he muttered instead. He still wasn't sure how he felt about his own. And it wasn't something he was ready to sit down and think about right now.
At Celliwig's sudden question, the Mars Knight's eyes gleamed. He'd never put himself through something like this course and it looked interesting enough.
"Aye, an' m'thanks, lass. Looks fun."
Grinning, he rubbed his hands together and cracked out his joints.

"No, you're right. It's probably not the best idea, but it's not like I can just go somewhere and ask them to tailor the hem for me." She snorted, crossing her arms over her chest for the moment. Magical attire and armor was not nearly as easy to make adjustments to as video games made it seem. Big letdown. Huge disappointment. "By all means, have at it. I'd like to see someone give it a proper go." Celliwig smiled brightly as she uncrossed her arms before moving forward to point out where the 'Start' was. She had set up a few barrels for weaving, dragged out hobby horses for hurdles and set up a few other obstacles along the way. It had been fun to plan out ways to challenge herself, especially since she was hardly the athlete in day to day life.

Once he'd finished stretching out, Xibalba bent down and scooped a tiny handful up before rubbing it into his hands. Only then did he flash a grin over at Celliwig and start the course.
As he wove and ducked and dodged, he couldn't help but once again be impressed by the thought and the work behind the course. The only place where he slipped up, as it were, were the hobby horse hurdles. He hadn't been able to resist showing off for a lady and had managed to lose his balance mid leap, falling and catching his chin on the edge of a hobby horse. Flinching as hot pain blossomed, he nevertheless finished the course and stood doubled over, panting and trying to gauge just how badly he'd hurt himself in the name of hormones. He was certainly bleeding enough. Well, bollocks.
"That was fun," he said slowly, not wanting to aggravate anything in case he'd done more than just split open skin. "I'd stay and help clean up, but I think I need to go make sure I haven't ******** m'self up too badly."
He reached out to offer Celliwig a friendly wave goodbye and forced himself straight and began walking.
"I'll make this up t'ye, lass," he called as he walked. Only once he was out of sight did Xibalba speed up and hurry his a** to the hospital.
Skye Starrfyre I know you're moving and I am so sorry for derping and leaving this go for so long. Gonna wrap it on my end ~ ♥

Celliwig stood by and watched in amazement as Xibalba made quick work of the course. He definitely put her records to shame... Or would have, rather, had she a record to begin with. She gasped when he fell, eyes wide as she started to approach him. She'd barely gotten the words 'are you alright' past her lips when he started to back away and she lingered there a moment or two longer after he'd disappeared, blinking and confused. It was, most definitely, probably time to call it a night...
