Delilah had received orders from Rhun to deliver something to someone at his home. He wouldn't tell her who but he also told her not to be alarmed. She apparently would know why when she got there. She was followed by the two children known as Melody and Leukos. Delilah was delighted by the idea of who it was, though she still dreaded it as well. Besides the two children, she had been alone for 20 years. Well, almost alone.
You'd rather be alone.
Delilah smiled from beneath her mask with excitement. The voice would prod every now and again but she always ignored it. She knew it was just an impression of the girl that used to share her thoughts. It didn't bother her. She understood it thoroughly.
As they approached the cabin, Melody was filled with excitement. It had resembled a cabin dollhouse she had been able to play with at the facility. She giggled as she took off running toward the house.
Leukos immediately went into defensive mode, taking off to chase after the small girl. "Melody! What are you doing?!" he quipped as he ran after her.
She let out a squeal, the sound of her voice resonating softly. She ran even faster now, thinking it was a game. Her mouth made excited strum noises as she ran up to the door, it was unlocked. Smart enough to open the door, she threw her hands up as the door swung open hard and ran a circle around the couch, dove into the empty room then spun around and ran into the master bedroom. Her face was bright with excitement as she got down on the floor with the intent to crawl under the bed to hide from Leuk, giggling the entire time.
"Melody!” he called out as he bolted into the house after her. She was out of control, he'd never seen her like this before. She had always been calm and curious, but something had gotten into her. He had no idea as panic set in and concern overwhelmed him. She was literally stressing him out. His hair was getting brighter, starting to stand on end a bit. "MELODY STOP!" he shrieked frantically as he lost her among the chaos, he stood in the living room, whipping his head back and forth in search of the smaller meta.
Delilah watched the tiny girl jolt off. She was mostly confused by the situation. This is why she liked solitude. Children were loud. Unpredictable. It wasn`t something she welcomed. She had been nice to the kids earlier being that she felt it was rude to mean to those of innocence. So much for alarm, she didn't figure she would be the surprised party as she was sure the children had already startled whoever was inside.

It had been a few hours, now. He'd slept fitfully through patches of nightmares and resurfacing memories - but ultimately given up trying to get any decent rest. Well, at this point. any rest was decent but he'd known days where he slept dreamlessly and longed for them to return. What he would give for some peace and quiet.
Still, even though he'd given up sleeping, he was not about to get out of the bed. Was he even allowed to look around the house? Probably not. He should wait for Rhun to get back. That was the plan, anyway, until the door opened and the shrill sound of a child's voice filled the halls. He sat up in a panic, shadow leaping to life behind him, ready to provide a shield in case whoever it was decided to attack. Children were no more safer than adults, he'd come to learn.
They were coming to the bedroom - fear filled him to the brim again, his heart began to hammer - was this the day it would finally give out? He looked around for somewhere to hide -- the closet, yes. He hurriedly slid off of the bed and darted into it, shutting the door behind him just before Melody dove into the room and slid under the bed.
He would be safe in here... right? They wouldn't find him... right??? As long as he kept quiet? He could do that... He slid down to the ground, pulling his knees to his chest, and simply listened. Maybe if he hid here long enough, they'd leave. Or Rhun would come back. He really should have gotten up to find that phone... how was he supposed to call for help...?

Melody crawled beneath the bed but haulted, as she bumped her head on something. Letting off a soft hum noise as she placed a hand on the item. A handle she could grasp. Her voice cooed. She wanted to open this. Something really wanted what in the box she had grabbed hold of. It took all of her strength to pull hard, sliding the heavy case across the floor and out from beneath the bed. Her tiny fingers fiddled with the latch as it clicked. Something inside it beckoned her to open.
Leukos heard the sound of something heavy sliding across the floor in the other room. It was either Melody or someone else. The latter made him jump as he ran into the master bedroom to see the tiny girl gripping a black case beside the bed. "Melody!!" he scolded loudly, "Rhun is going to be really mad you're going through his stuff!" he added. He was focused on the tiny girl, being as stern as his small body could muster.
Delilah calmly entered the house, her bright green eyes scanning the room. It didn't seem anyone was here, maybe they had left already. She could here the children in the bedroom. Mostly Leuk yelling. She moved into the doorway, watching them. "m..melody... P-please stop." she asked politely. It was such a strain to talk, but she wanted to be heard. Acknowledged by the children.
Melody resonated a sudden pluck of noise when Leuk yelled. Her eyes were beginning to fill with tears. She didn't want to be in trouble with Rhun. "..she wants to.." she responded with a small fragile voice, barely strong enough to be over a whisper. She obviously never used her voice to form words often. She look like she was fighting back her tears, succeeding pretty well though.

Three of them... two sounded like they might be girls, another sounded like they might be a boy... he had no idea, either way. Two of them clearly had trouble speaking but the third... The third sounded angry - or at least aggressive. He couldn't handle much more anger in one day - he'd already met his quota of explosiveness for the rest of his life as far as he was concerned.
Still, he needed to see. It wasn't safe to open the door, but... Two white eyes formed in his shadow, followed by its trademark wicked grin before the pool of darkness spread out under the closet door, and then ran along one of the cracks in the flooring to a more adequately placed shadow...
Once in place, it settled in, matching its consistency and then turned its blank gaze on the three children. Did he know any of them...? One of them rang a faint bell, the other two--. He froze, shadow's eyes widening with his own once it laid its sights on Melody. She was... strikingly similar to a certain someone... Did he dare ask about it later? For now he couldn't do anything about it. They'd notice if his shadow went to fetch the phone, and he wasn't about to open the closet door himself. Not while all three of them were around.

He could never stay mad at Melody especially when she cried. He frowned, dropping the act. "Melody, I'm sorry. I'm just trying to protect you." he spoke softer, his hair returning to normal. He was actually curious what had compelled her to run into the cabin. "I'll help you put it back." He latched the case, keeping it closed as he pushed it back under the bed.
She sniffles lightly. "Please don't tell Rhun. I'm sorry." She spoke quietly, obviously Rhuns opinion meant a lot to her.
"I won't tell him. Just be more careful okay."
Someone is still here.
Delilah looked around. She hadn't passed any one on the way here. Someone still had to still be here. Maybe they were scared by Leukos yelling. Maybe the other person had been another child. Maybe that's why he wanted her to go to the cabin instead of them finding her. "...h-hello?... If y-you're s-still here.... R-rhun sent me.... To g-give you a c-cellphone....." She stuttered out. Keeping her voice inviting as though talk to a scared puppy. She didn't know what to expect so it couldn't hurt to try.

This must be the two children that Rhun had spoken about... Leukos... he could see the resemblance to Lucian, from the few times he'd ever interacted with the boy. He had more experience dealing with Silas, who honestly resembled Alice more than he had Syth, thankfully. The shadow blinked as he did, finally overcoming his initial shock from seeing Melody. The other one was speaking, to him, it seemed.
They came to give him a phone?
He narrowed his eyes, shadow mimicking him as he contemplated whether this was true or not. Three Meta children probably weren't a match for him at his full strength, but he wasn't at his full strength. They could probably overpower him with no problems at all...
Should he risk exposing himself, or remain hidden...? After some painful debating he decided he'd let his Shadow do the work for him. It separated itself from the wall behind them, slowly taking on a deep black form as it became more solid - though it's eyes and mouth remained stark white. It circled around Delilah, and then held out a hand for the phone, head tilted to one side as if silently asking a question. He could speak through it if he wanted, but it would reveal his spot in the closet if he did...

As the shadow came forth, Leuk went on defense mode once again, instinctively standing in front of Melody to protect her. Glaring at the shadow as his hair brighten and his skin began to darken a bit. He was ready. Ready to fight, despite being quite small himself.
Melody had made a sudden higher strum noise as she tensed up, she had been startled by the shadow. But as it stayed silent, approaching Delilah, Melody untensed, her eyes focusing intently on the shadow. Her eyes big with curiosity as if someone had really been paying attention, her eyes were slowly change color, her blue eye melting into a more regal hue.
Delilah caught sight of the shadow as it approached, she didn't flinch, she was unphased. She calming reached into her bag and pull out a cellphone, and playing it into the hand of the shadow. She looked at it with a twinge of questioning, but like she couldn't place a particular thought in her mind. She glance over to the two children to make sure they were okay.
Melody seemed fascinated by the shadow, unable to look away. She stepped forward slightly, despite Leuk's efforts to stand between them. She reach out a small hand to the shadow. She was filled with a sense of calm, something inviting, something familiar.

The shadow blinked, eyeing Delilah as it reached out to take the phone. It wrapped fingers around it, securing it in place before it slowly sunk into its hand and disappeared entirely. It then turned its head to examine the other two children, one looking as if he were ready to attack, the other holding her hand out.
Deskri blinked, which in turn made the shadow blink. Should he reach out..? The phone finally resurfaced in the closet... he picked it up, cradling it to his chest as he considered what he should do. He didn't know Rhun's phone number... did it have it already programmed? He had to deal with this first- he couldn't check for it and interact with the children.
He sighed, quietly, so very quietly... and then allowed his shadow to hold its hands out towards the small girl, open and inviting, clearly not armed. Maybe if he kept its motions slow, they wouldn't attack. Not that it would hurt or anything, but... it was better not to provoke anything.

Delilah watched the shadow carefully. Something about it really seemed familiar to her but she really couldn't place where she had seen it. She was steady and tranquil, like a graceful ghost. She could tell that this thing, and whatever was controlling it, intended no harm. "...L-leukos..." she whispered, as he met his gaze with her, she gave him a stern look and a very small nod. Signaling him that it was okay. No one needed to get hurt. No one was in danger.
Melody continued to stare at the shadow, her eyes full of yearning. Her eyes were very slowly beginning to resemble Alice's. She reached out her hand and placed it gently in the shadow's hand. Her eyes thinned as a soft smile grew on her face. "..Deskri." Melody's voice was less frail, a little louder, delicate in articulation.
Leuk's eyes had jolted quickly to Delilah when she called his name, his body still frozen, defensive, watching Melody slowly moving. His hair was practically standing on end by then as he untensed only slightly, returning the nod slowly as he seemed to allow the situation to continue, ready to jump in if anything happened to Melody. He heard her speak, it was so clear that his eyes widened in surprise. Is this that thing again? He wasn't sure what was happening but kept his sight locked tightly on the two of them, trying to analyze what was happening.
Delilah blinked in surprise as Melody spoke a name. This name she knew. She had spent quite a bit of time with the person who had that name, as a child. Her eyes scanned the room. Was this him? Was he here right now? She had also been very smart, already piecing things together. She was already accepting what she had already picked up on from earlier. She had already had her suspicions about Rhun, but this was the finally piece on that tower of information that could threaten to cave in at any moment. She'd gladly help hold that tower back however, she wanted to help. Delilah thought about what she should do. For now, she'd have to keep things nice, slow, everything at a pace he could handle. She had already had a feeling that Deskri might have been hurt, whether emotionally physically or mentally.. or a combination of the three, she could only assume the case. "...i-it's okay." she spoke allowed. "...o-oma?" she beckoned softly. She wanted to press it further. "... r-rhuns n-number... it's.. it's in t-the phone.." she explained. "d-do you.. want u-us.. to l-leave..." her voice was getting tired, this was more words than she had ever spoken in decades, it took a lot out of her, but she felt every word was worth it in this moment.

The eyes on the shadow grew larger, though they held no irises, it was clear from the way the head pointed directly at Melody that it was examining her closely. The more Deskri looked at her through it, the more like Alice she seemed... and a little less like someone else. He made it turn its head to stare at Leukos -- the child was definitely on guard still, despite the other one's warning. He turned the shadow's head back to Delilah, looking her over once more...
oma...
He cradled his head, forgetting to let his shadow keep its posture - it mimicked his motion, covering its ears and eyes as spotty patches of memories arose in his own head. A little girl - Rasiel brought her to babysit often... She was always sick - she didn't use their names...
Delilah.
She's not a threat.
But the boy --
It's not safe.
They're children, you pathetic waste of space.
He rubbed at his face, shadow mimicking his motions. Delilah had said Rhun's phone number was in the cellphone... he could call if things got bad... It was getting to be tiring to hold up this power - it'd been ages since he'd used it. After a few more moments of silent debate, he allowed the shadow to sink back to to the ground, and then withdrew it into the closet. This time, it was definitely a visible trail across the floor.
A moment later, he pushed himself up to his feet, and slowly turned the knob on the door to peer out. "......he didn't say you were coming.."

Delilah followed the shadow with her eyes as they fell upon the closet door as it opened. It really was Deskri. She was relieved, but this also cemented the notion about Rhun hiding who he was. Rasiel. She had understood why he would hide himself, though she didn't understand why he should have to. But Delilah would gladly keep that secret safe since she owed a great deal to Rasiel for raising her for the time he did, and by extension Deskri despite his reluctance to be around her as a child. She never blamed him, she was also uneasy about the presence of children. Honestly, she was apprehensive about most people, preferring solitude, but she figured Deskri shared in those feelings too which is why she had grown so attached to him. "...h-he always.. s-so careless.." she offered as an explanation. Did he know about Rhun's true identity? She wasn't exactly sure so she didn't prod the notion too hard. Rasiel didn't seem like the person who was above hiding it from his long lost ex-boyfriend. "...h-he.. didn't tell m-me who was h-here..... b-but I'm... r-really glad... i-it's you..." a she smiled under her mask, trying hard to peek out from beneath the mask.
Melody's smile faded slightly as the shadow retracted. She moved her head to follow it. Someone emerged from the closet. Her big curious eyes focused on him and her soft smile grew again. She began to slowly walk up to Deskri, stopping before him and holding her arms up to him, alluringly. "...we're home..." she spoke, her voice still clear.
His eyes darted to the closet, still guard up. Melody stepped out from behind him and began to walk toward the stranger. He was confused. Obviously Delilah knew this person, but he was absolutely sure that Melody did not know this man. He knew ever person she had ever met in her life, and this person was definitely a stranger. His skin was giving off a very faint glow as he moved to try to stop Melody but something grabbed his shoulder. Delilah. She was stopping him. He didn't understand what was happening. Something was happening to Melody and nobody seemed to be concerned as his stomach began to churn. This feeling. She was going to be taken completely by this thing if he didn't stop it, but Delilah had a good hold of his shoulder as he stood completely still. A twinge of fear hitting him, there was nothing he could do. Whatever was possessing Melody would end up taking residence within her permanently at this rate, and he could not stop it this time.

He stared at the three of them, still mostly lodged within the closet... The boy was not calming down, and he could see the beginnings of glow coming from his skin... He didn't like that. Bright lights hurt to look at.
What are you doing? Get out there.
After another moment of stalling, he decided to come out of the closet. He pushed the door open slowly, and then carefully slid out, keeping his back against the wall, eyes glued on the three of them. "I can tell..." He finally answered Delilah, then focused his gaze on Melody. Why was she coming closer? He didn't know how to handle children- he never had. "That's... nice..." He glanced to Delilah, unsure of how he should respond to her. She seemed to remember him a lot better than he remembered her.
Leukos was making him nervous. Very nervous. His shadow began to form eyes again, and locked them on the glowing boy. Just in case Delilah couldn't keep him back. He returned his gaze to Melody, hands wringing themselves with nervousness. "You--... the three of you... live in here...?" He finally managed a question - he wasn't sure what the girl was referring to. He'd never seen her in his life!

Delilah noticed the shadow was eyeing Leukos, she could only assume out of nervousness. Formulating a plan quickly, she sighed and closed her eyes, leaning down and placed her hands on the child's face. "...s-sleep.." she spoke softly as Leukos suddenly fell unconscious and she picked him up into her arms, holding him like the small child he was. She stood straight and returned her gaze to Deskri.
"...where's ras-" she stopped mid sentence as Delilah spoke out. Melody suddenly blinked and her eyes returned to normal as she looked back to see Leukos fall unconscious. She didn't understand what had happened as she turned back to face Deskri and backed up shyly, innocent concern on her face. "...who are you?..." her small frail voice questioned.
"...w-we don't..." she responded. "R-rhun... wants them t-to live... in the d-d-dorms..." she added, obviously meaning the children. "..h-how are y-you..."

He jumped slightly in surprise when the boy passed out - though a moment realized that Delilah had just put him to sleep. Good. One less person to be worried about. He looked back to Melody, had she asked about Rasiel? She'd stopped talking the moment Leukos was out and now... seemed different. More like him. Suddenly he realized what had been going on. He wasn't actually talking to this child. He was talking to someone else. Something else. Immediately his heart rate sped up, panic starting to set in as he glanced from the girl to Delilah, and then back again.
"Tired. She has--... One of them is here, isn't it." He slid himself along the wall, away from Melody and closer to the bedroom door - the only exit he could possibly dart through to safety if he needed it. She was just a child, yes, but a Malice was dangerous no matter the stage. Provided it was a Malice... "I don't want it knowing things. Anything about me." He'd learned from Kagyaku that some of them could communicate with each other - even when their hosts weren't aware of it. This was not something he wanted to risk... what if one of them passed word around..?

Delilah looked quizically to Deskri then to Melody. One of them. She was concerned to say the least, though she had good experiences with her mane, Melody could potentially have a Malice and that was no good. 'Maybe I should put her to sleep too...' she thought.
Melody look worried as the man before her acted like she was some kind of demon. She look like she was about to cry. She looked back at Leukos again and fear overtook her. 'Run.' Without another word, she bolted out of the bedroom crying.
Delilah watched the small child run out as she sighed. Rhun was never going to trust her with kids again, but she didn't exactly mind that. She didn't really want to watch them in the first place, but was being nice. She looked at Deskri. "..i'm... b-bad with.. ch-children..." she admitted bluntly.
"I d-don't know.. a-anything about h-her... " she told him, as she could understand his concern. "..i-is he s-still around... i-in your h-head?" she asked, wondering if he too was able to separate from his spirit.
