Cody was laying on the medical bed, his head was bandaged up from the small head wound he had. His right arm had a fracture on it so it was in a cast to heal, and would need to in a cast for a while. His left leg had a small fracture, not one to require a full cast but his leg still had a removable cast and he could still walk but he had to keep from putting too much pressure on that leg. As he was laying on the bed, some of the medications that had him out began to lift a bit, but as he started to wake up slightly his eyes were blurry. He went to move his arm, which as he lifted his arm slightly he winced as he left it down. He looked around blinking to clear his eyes to his normal slightly near sighted vision. He saw that he was in a clean hospital room, the lights reminded him of what happened that he had been hit by a car. He looked around a bit when he noticed a figure to the side, he looked over and saw woman he pushed out of the way. He was rather surprised that she was here but weakly smiled, "Oh, how are you... sorry for pushing you, are you okay?" He asked softly, more concerned that she was okay and that she didn't have any injuries himself.

It was probably even more strange was that he was the one in the hospital and he was more concerned about if she was injured or not. Cody was one to focus more on others before himself but he gently tried sitting up in the bed but with his leg and arm still drugged up a bit with pain killers, he winced slightly but just moved a little to sit up slightly and looked over at her, seeing how she was the woman from the street. Another thing that was most likely strange for her, he was looking to her eyes, not the horn on her head or the large bust she had, he was giving her attention, not looking at her.

Cody looked at her when she seemed a bit more nervous then she looked. He watched as she messed with her fingers and was working to even getting the words out. When she finally did speak, he gently shook his head, "You shouldn't have to feel sorry, the only person at fault is the person who was in the car." He said as he was reassuring but he thought it over, "Im glad that your okay though." he said kindly as he noticed that she still seemed nervous, "My names Cody by the way and im fine... I can still feel my body." he said but moving his arm slightly he winced, "Unfortunately." He joked a bit as he laid back down against the bed and gently closed his eyes, relaxing himself, "May I know your name?" He asked curiously to her, gently opening his eyes and looking at her again.

Cody looked at her when she spoke, he thought over how she questioned why he saved her but he did notice her appearance. He didn't care how it would hurt him, he was able to move, sitting fully up, he looked to her, "Because no one should think that way, even if you don't look normal, that doesn't mean that you deserve to get hit by a car." he said kindly to her as he thought it over, "I saved you because it was the right thing to do, I didn't even care if I never saw you again, just knowing that I helped a person keep from being hurt would make me happy but being able to see that you were completely unharmed helps more then any medicine." he said kindly to her, "Not everyone is cruel, I would rather see myself hurt before I stand by and let someone be in pain." he said sincerely.

Cody saw that she had basically burst into tears when she seemed touched by his words. He was wondering just why she had been that caused her to feel such emotion. When she spoke about repaying him by being his aid, he thought it over as he looked at her, "That is very kind of you but I wouldn't want to force you to do anything. I guess though since my arm is broken I could use some help but I don't want to be a burden to someone that barely owes me anything." he said gently as he looked at her, "What do you mean that you don't have anything precious to you?" he asked thinking that a home or anything personal would be precious.

He looked at her, hearing what happened prior to having pushed her out of the way but he gently nodded, "I see... I guess that would make anyone have a rough day." He said thinking it over, he looked at his cast and leg, knowing that it would make it hard to get stuff done around his home and even with going to pick up some groceries. He then gently smiled, "Well how about this, instead of a bridge, I have a spare bedroom that you can use, and don't worry about rent, if your offering to help me around the house then that can be your rent payment." he said figuring that it seemed fair and would be helping her out by giving her a roof over her head.

He was a bit taken in by how the girl began to tear up again with the news of being able to live with him. He thought it over as she thanked him but gently smiled, "No need to thank me, and I am sure that you will do fine with pulling your own weight, you seem like a very capable woman and a very nice person so I trust that you will be helpful." He said thinking that she hadn't shown any reason not to trust her, she has done nothing but tell him that she was willing to help. He was rather curious about her though, maybe it was the drugs in his system but he did take a gently look over her, "I know that this may be a bit rude, and from how you said of how others treat you I don't mean for it to sound that way but since im going to be here for a bit before I can head home... but why do you have a horn on your head?" He asked gently, curious to learn about her, not to pick on her.

Cody almost looked her over when she said that she was an ogre, obviously it seemed like it was a trick but she had no reason to lie unless this was an elaborate prank which for him was too painful to be one. He gently smiled though, "Well you did happen to pick a very beautiful human form, i can only assume that your real form is just as lovely." He said reassuring, and sincerely, thinking that even though most men probably saw her large chest, he saw the face behind it. She was a lovely being and should know so since he figure that from recently things she mentioned, not many said such nice things to her but she deserved to hear the truth.
