Looking over the hive, he wondered how this had been so hard to find. How could anyone miss the colorful display? Actually, why would you have this colorful a display going on outside your home? Amonee really was a brave troll, considering what could probably be attracted to his hive by this. But whatever, he could probably fight for himself, no need to actually tell him about the dangers he know. Didn't he? Well, that would be a train of thought for another visit, for now he had to figure out how to get into the hive. Part of the fun of this adventure was the surprise element, with any luck Amonee would be home and this wouldn't be a waste of his time.
With that, Azrael had climbed onto a balcony, there were plastic chairs-- were they plastic or just painted? The blueblood tilted his head ever so slightly. Would he break down the door and pay for it later or would he just sit and wait for his greenblood friend to notice. Taking a moment to wipe his hands on the stained and damaged jacket, Azrael fathered up what courage he could as he approached the door and knocked. If Amonee wasn't home, he'd come back another night. He found that any feelings of wanting to break in were killed by the idea that it could upset his friend. Wouldn't want that when he was just trying to show off and impress the greenblood. "There is a better way to go about this, Ahh... I was too quick to boast, wasn't I? How troublesome, I should reign in my need to impress him with skill..." As he waited for any response the blueblood turned his head to stare at the scenery before him. " What else do I have though, otherwise would I not be considered a boring character?" back to the door as he waited. "No, It would be best to show what I can do, Though, maybe breaking into his hive was a bit of a stretch," The young troll rubbed his face as he muttered to himself, a lot less reassurance and more some kind of game plan.

He'd spent the afternoon watching reruns on his television in a sleepy dreamy state. But after an hour or two of that, Amonee knew he had to get up and actually get something done that night! Unicroak tolerated his lazy moments of self indulgence but she always nagged him to train his body or work on his craft. He'd need to get some kind of skill to keep people around him and Amonee desperately wanted to surround himself with friends.
Setting up an easel in the living room, he selected a half finished landscape of the view of pink trees from the top of Busthind. The sight of the Four Fronds in the distance was certainly a lovely one but he'd struggled to capture the scene quite right. Might as well make it something more abstract and emotional then! He'd paint from memory and see where it went. Lugging out his paints, he set everything up around the room and reached for a palette-
A knocking from the balcony door startled him. Who would climb all the way up there for a visit? Was it a friend or a lost traveler? Tucking his brush in his hair, Amonee hurried to open the door with a bewildered greeting.
"H-hello, sorry, the door is actu- AZRAEL?! Oh my goodness!" Mouth agape, he stared at the blueblood standing before him. He must've come for his sketchbook finally! But the jadeblood hadn't had any time to clean up his hive for such an important visit and he flushed a shade of green. Azrael was a troll he wanted to impress after all. His jacket looked more stained and scuffed up than the painter remembered... was the blueblood getting into trouble? Or was it from clawing his way up the balcony? He wasn't sure which option was better or worse. But he was glad to see him either way.
"It's so good to see you again!" Amonee sprang forward to give his friend a welcoming hug before basically yanking him inside. "Please please please pardon the mess but make yourself at home. You caught me off guard, I wasn't expecting you!" The blueblood was skilled at sneaking around, he hadn't heard anyone approach. Was Azrael some kind of trained spy? He could definitely see him as the star hero in a serious action movie! The blueblood had that cool quiet personality with a mysterious past.
"I guess you did say you'd break in. You're here for your book, right?" The painter smiled at his friend with a mischievous twinkle. "If you want it though, you'll have to find it!"
saihen feel free to make up poking around looking for the sketchbook! it's actually tucked into a kitchen cabinet next to some recipe cards XD

Azrael was more than a little surprised by the hug and awkwardly just raised his hands a bit, as though he'd never given a hug before and didn't know what to do with his hands. But he savored the moments and followed along when Amonee pulled him along. "Well, yes, I told you it would be raiding your home for my sketchbook," Azrael admitted, though honestly it didn't much feel like breaking in as it was surprise visit. He really wasn't worried about the mess, but his attention was caught by the things all over the hive, each a little story about the greenblood.
"Hmmm, a fair challenge..." Wow, he was drawing a blank on what to say. This wasn't abnormal for him, but he just, wow.... this was not good. Azrael began poking around for it, moving things around here and there to try and find his specific sketchbook, though would he be able to find it? As Azrael moved some other books, papers and whatever else aside carefully so as not to ruin anything, a box fell out of his pocket, Azrael tried to catch it but just missed. With a frustrated sigh he picked up the box, containing some expensive water color paints and held it out to greenblood. "I, uh, well.... it's pay ransom for my sketchbook if I happened to run into you without actually breaking in and finding it," Nailed it, though in reality he had bought it because it made him think of the greenblood. Gifts between friends wasn't weird, right?
