It'd been awhile now since the little Nixie had come to the academy, but he was still exploring and learning about the place. There was so much to see, after all, and the place was SO huge! how he was going to cover ever inch and remember it all... was beyond him.
But there was one place he frequented very often, enticed by the most lovely perfumes that wafted from its halls. There were classes that actually taught you how to make food! how too cook, bake, and prep. It was only natural that the most delicious aromas would lace the air, and slink about, luring the freshling to see what was being made. He would peek around the usually open door to see the older students hard at work, mixing, cutting, stirring, and folding. It was so magical~ his eyes sparkled with awe as he watched the process, little tail lifted in an alert and excited position.
Maybe... he could get a taste of what they were making today! sometimes they were nice enough to bring him a sample of their dishes. But best of all, it helped sate his desire for further knowledge on the craft. While he may not yet be old enough to get involved himself, it would surely help for when he was!
One Little Jay sorry for the poopy start. I suck at guild rp heh.

Liath was wandering around the Achademy grounds. He was done with his classes today and felt a little exploring was needed. He really wasn't familiar with the place at all. Passing a hall a smell caught his nose that made him stop in his tracks. What was this magical hall? Liath loved food more than anything in the world so if thier was food down this way it was the way that he would go. As he started down the hall he spotted a little... something. He wasn't really sure what race he was looking at since he had never met one before. This piqued his curiosity and led to him creeping up behind the freshling. "What are we looking at?" He whispered into the kids ear from behind. He hoped he didn't startle the poor creature since Liath could be quiet and probably wasn't noticed. He just knew that it was somewhere he probably wasn't supposed to be so he was sneaking around. "More importantly what are we eating today?" he could feel his mouth begin to water.

So engrossed in watching the splendors and wonders of the foods being prepared, he definitely had no notice to those who were passing him by. Even the small freshling that'd snuck up behind him was only registered when they spoke... but even then Ebi didn't react all that much. "They're making some yummy food." he whispered back dreamily, "I'm not sure what yet, but... it smells and looks so good~!" he hummed blissfully. It was then that he finally looked back to see who he was talking to, only to give a surprised little gasp at the close proximity at first. Giggling, he straightened up and turned to beam to the stranger, "Did the yummy smells bring you here too?" he asked, tail wavering slightly with the contained excitement brimming within him.

Liath peeked around the freshling looking into the door that they stood at, there he saw the hustle and bustle of seniors chopping and mixing. "It does smell very good." Liath nodded in agreement, he could almost place what they were cooking by the smell alone. Liath had spent much time in the kitchen with his mother. He knew the difference in the smells of most herbs and cheeses. When the freshling gasped at how close Liath was he took a tiny step back. "They did, I only managed to slip away from my overseer for a tiny bit. I was exploring. There was nothing of interest at all, I was beginning to think this school was dull. Then I passed this hall and I must say I was indeed wrong." Liath wished to express his love for food but he hadn't really the words.

With the explanation provided, Ebi only smiled all the more, his tail raising with surprise, "Oh there's lots, and lots of fun stuff, here!" he proclaimed gleefully, "sometimes hard to find, since the school is so big.." a soft giggle bubbled from him. But that made him wonder, "Do you not like your classes?" maybe the other was in a house that didn't properly fit their needs? Ebi was lucky enough to have his learning aesthetic taken care of. "Oh, and you can play with lots of others our own age, too!" that was always a delight, especially for the social, and outgoing little nixie. Tipping his head, he folded his arms behind him, "What's your name, by the way? I'm Ebi. You can call me Shrimpy too, if you want."

Liath did not agree with the little Nixi when he said there was a lot of fun things to do here, so far the campus had been much a bore to him as ever. though the school was big and Liath was so small yet that perhaps it was hidden away to the places only the bigger kids could get to. "Classes are boring, I don't like the idea of being here, I want to go home. My Mom said though that I have to stay here. It's very depressing." As a freshling he only took basic core classes, perhaps when he was older and taking more classes that pertained to what he wanted to do out of life he would be less dreary. "I was never much for "playing"" he put little air quotations around the word. "I don't make freinds very easy, everyone annoys me." He shrugged like he was just stating some well known fact. "I am Liath, I am a Goblin. It is nice to meet you Ebi... what are you?" This may have been a blunt staement but the goblin had only grown up around other daydreams, every new nightmare he saw was a mystery to him.

It was easy to say that Ebi was quite surprised by what he was hearing. As one who was so optimistic, wide-eyed, and pretty easily entertained by everything, it was shocking that there were those who didn't seem to find such things to be so at the grand academy. His head kept tilted as he listened to the other freshling explain his dilemma's, brows starting to crinkle with concern, and worry. Didn't make many friends... found people annoying? Quietly absorbing what he heard, the little Nixie put on a more softer smile, and reached out to gently take one of Liath's clawed hands, giving it an encouraging squeeze, "We can be friends~!" he chimed happily. "And we can find things that interest you." his fins perked faintly, "Like cooking, and food! That's something you like!" if there was one thing, then there surely were others! it was just a matter of looking around.
The question was a bit confusing for the pink darling, head tilting the opposite way. "What am I?" he repeated, before it clicked. "Oh! I'm a Nixie!" his cheeks bunched as he beamed. "We've just been allowed to come here recently." looking along Liath, he leaned side to side to get a good look at him, before straightening, "You're a.... goblin, right?" he'd been learning about the new Daydreams lately in classes, with the influx of students from Above.

Liath doubted very much that Ebi and him could be friends the other seemed very optimistic and to a cynic like Liath that might clash. However Liath was willing to attempt to be friends he had promised his mother that he would give every effort to like it here and he fully intended to. "I suppose, I do very much like food. The list of things I dislike is probably longer" he nodded matter of factly. "Why dont you tell me some of the things you like and i'll see if I like any of them?" He nodded now knowing that the creature before him was Nixie, he was so new here he hadn't the time to learn all of the different nightmare races. He knew, litches like Gwen, Fallen & Demons like Sami, and now Nixies, there sure was still alot for him to learn. musicaloner7 If you want to wrap it up after this we can

One Little Jay oh, if you want to. What ever works for you. Undeterred by the lack of faith the other freshling seemed to possess, Ebi just nodded along encouragingly, "Food is so great. It always makes me so happy." he hummed gleefully. A tiny hand raised to tap at his chin in thought. Other things he liked? that was a loooong list. "Oh! Well I really like music." his head tilted to better look at Liath, "Do you like music?" his little tail wavered slightly behind him to a silent beat that was playing only in his head.

Liath nodded at Ebi's comment about food it truly was one of the few things that Liath found himself to enjoy, and while he was too young to take any cooking classes he would try to find time to sneak away to cook. Liath had no preference when it came to music he shrugged his shoulders. "I suppose i'm pretty indifferent to music." To be fair he hadn't much expose to music in his short life, sure music had been played at parties but it was never the center the focus. He had never gone to a concert or musical or anything that really would give him such exposure. musicaloner7 ~Just let me know when I'm going to grow Liath after.
