Alkiviadis Blackmoon strolled down the street enjoying the twilight air, and watching as twilight slowly transitioned to nightfall. He wore his usual crimson silk shirt underneath a leather jacket finished with a pair of black jeans; his hood up, ear buds in pretending that his music was so loud that he could not hear a thing around him.
Up his long silk sleeves, he had his daggers hidden in case he had to fight some thug off. Alkiviadis' aim was never to kill a threat, but if it came to that... He hoped it never would. His destination was a wonderful little Asian cafe he frequented since they liked to stay open late; it beat the night clubs his cousins seemed so fond of. If he wanted to dance with a female Alkiviadis would take her to his studio and ballroom dance there, unless she really liked the night life, then he would join the club scene.
Humming a tune to the current song playing by Coldplay, he happily turned a corner keeping his face covered by the hood so no one would recognize him. Strolling down another block and he was at the entrance to the cafe. Alkiviadis stood there for a moment looking up at the sign, and took a deep breath. The scent of various teas met his nose as he let the hood fall back. There weren't too many people strolling about here, so he figured he'd be okay if one fan caught sight of him.

It was a beautiful fall evening when a young vixen had made her way to a small asian cafe. She had heard so many young ladies talking about this shop and so many reasons to come to it so finally the quiet female's curiosity had driven her to make her way to the small cafe. She had to admit that the place was fully of atmosphere. It was beautiful and homey. It was almost like a dream or a flash of the past out in a modern city. The females did seem to be right about this beautiful place. Though they also said that this place had other pluses apart from the food and atmosphere. Though she had never heard just what those pluses were.
So at a small table towards the middle right of the cafe a pale pink and tan female sat. She wore a long tan kimono top that almost covered her black and pink fingers. Under this kimono was an equally long sky blue skirt that covered all views of her legs. The skirt was shapely but loose not holding tightly to any part of her. Much like a full kimono the outfit though beautiful did not accentuate the vixen's form nor did it really hide it in any particular way. Her thick silky brown hair was done up in a loose up do. And her long roughly striped neon pink ears lay gently back. Fan Ning's indigo eyes scanned around the cafe in a lazy manner. She was sipping a cup of green tea slowly.
This vixen seemed to fit perfectly in this cafe, the only odd thing about her was a bleached but very old skull that sat on the table next to her. She seemed more interested in the skull than anyone else in particular in the shop. Though to certain well trained eyes there were glowing orbs around her. Only those with a highly tuned sixth sense would seem them dancing around her with the same lazy air she had.

Alkiviadis twitched his ears and caught the sound of a squeak behind him and to his left. He quickly pulled his hood back up and practically leapt through the entrance, and into the cafe. His silvery lavender eyes scanned the cafe, and Alkiviadis found an empty table toward the middle right and back behind a young girl, who he bumped in his hurry to sit down.
He hid his face from sight as the girls ran up to the cafe window and tried to peer in. His face was slightly flushed, as he was a little embarrassed by the attention. It was true he liked to be seen with women, but those women were his friends or family; not just ladies he threw around public contrary to the tabloids. Alkiviadis hated the gossip about him, and it didn't help that his family was so large that they were known among the town.
Sighing, he waited for the girls to lose interest and leave. When he was sure he was safe, he leaned back in his chair and smiled taking a deep breath, and removing his hood. "Thank you," he smiled to the woman who brought his usual cup of green tea with a hint of lavender. For the most part he was a regular here so no one seemed to care about his name; that made him smile even more.
He enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe. It was like taking a step into a whole new time or world all together. Alkiviadis didn't pay attention to the detail of his own wandering mind too much unless he wanted to write it into a spell of sorts. As he focused on the patrons and workers, then did he sense something. A red glow that emanated from the young woman sitting in front of him. Oh goodness, I bumped her minutes ago, and I still haven't apologized. Some jerk I am, he grumbled mentally to himself.
Tapping her on the shoulder he held out his hand, "I sincerely apologize for bumping you in my rush to this- uh this table." Yeah, it sounded lame to him as he said the words. Alkiviadis gave a nervous smile hoping she wouldn't slap him.

Hearing a rush opening from the door, small bells at it ringing the violet eyes spied a very handsome male rushing inside. So this was one of those bonuses the vixens were talking about. Handsome males clearly came here. She rolled her eyes and he moved in a hurry. She had just been lifting her cup up to drink from it when she felt the sudden jolt of the handsome hooded male as he rushed past her with not a single word.
Fan Ning's hold body tensed up and her lips pulled back in a smear. This is why she hated handsome guys they think that they owned the right to everything and everyone. She heard the waitress deliver him something. So he was a regular. Suddenly this beautiful place was leaving her a rather distasteful flavor in her mouth. Not to mention the tea splatted overing her nose and a bit on her kimono. She could sense his worry and almost fear and he cowered behind her small frame and despite her annoyance at him she had her energy blur his image behind her to help hide him from the sight of the girls peaking in the window seeking to assure themselves that it really was who they thought it was. She focused on wiping her face and dabbing her kimono. This really better not stain.
As the young vixen moved on she let her energy fall and moved to stand up so that she could head to the restroom and try to get the green tea off before it stained. What was when she felt the tap to her shoulder. She sighed a bit and did not turn to him, "I do not need a half hearted apology, enjoy your tea sir." she said and made her way to the restroom. Stupid pretty boys thing a smile and a soft word would get them everything. She always hated them. She nearly floated towards the rest room, the only things remaining at the table were the skull and cup of drink. The skull seemed to be watching Alkiviadis with a rather bemused look, and one that seemed to be almost apologetic.

Well, she didn't slap him, but Alkiviadis still felt the sting of her annoyance at him. He sighed and watched her walk.. or perhaps, is she floating away toward the bathroom. Perhaps her tea had been spilled on her. If that was the case, he would be more than happy to pay to have her Kimono dry cleaned by the best in town. Or he would let her pick out whatever Kimono she liked, and he'd pay for that. All of the possible ways he could think of to say sorry buzzed in his mind, as he didn't like to hurt others in any way. Alkiviadis bumped his forehead with his fist, and frowned in frustration.
From the earlier quick glance he had caught of her, she was a beautiful young woman. He felt some sort of pull toward her energy, and if he had been paying more attention, he might have been able to figure out what that energy was. Alkiviadis looked to her table, and noticed the skull. If he wasn't in training to learn Necromancy, the skull might have weirded him out. Instead, the skull intrigued him and he could have sworn it was alive in a way. He felt like he was being watched.
"I don't think she wants to lose you... Should I take you, and wait outside the bathroom for her? Or wait here with you? What do you think?" Alkiviadis felt a couple of stares as he talked to the skull, but he didn't bother with the looks. "I guess, I'll stay with you and keep you company. It's not every day I can consult with a skull like yourself. How old are you, if you don't mind my asking?" Alkiviadis smiled and sat there talking with the skull as if it were a living being.
He enjoyed talking with the dead in any form they may be in. They had taken a liking to him too ever since he was self-learning how to feel the energy, and see them with his new sense. Something that came about from his Aunt's teachings he was sure. Alkiviadis enjoyed joking with his friends that some of the best people he knew were dead, yet no one knew he was being honest. It was inspiring to him how much he could learn from those passed on.

As Alkiviadis started to talk to him the air around the skull seemed to grow a bit impressed and surprised. As if the skull had raised none existent eyebrows. So this youngster was addressing him as if he knew that the skull was still living. The skull debated replying after all even if he did most people never heard his words. But after a moment he then did speak. Moving me would only anger farther. Staying here would be the most wise. Despite my youthful smile I am thousands of years old.
Not expecting the noodle to reply the skull sighed and seemed to look over towards the restroom. He did not know how Fan Ning would respond to the male leaning over and talking to him. Though he did enjoy the chance to talk to someone.
Fan Ning stood at the sink blotting at the small stain with a wet towel. At least some of it was starting to come out. She listened as the spirits started to mumble about the male that had sat behind her. One of them thought he was familiar but could not place him. Another was swooning at him and how handsome and polite he was. A third was giving a bit of a groan that Fan Ning was so rude to a regular and the cafe. Why where all the spirits here girls? It made sense then why they rushed to blur him and protect him. Of course she was rude, he had been rude first and all these 'pretty' boys were always the same. They thought anyone would fall at their beck and call, and that they should get special treatment and privileges. She sighed not sure why it always got to her, didn't letting it get to her mean that the pretty boys were still effecting her and pre occupying her mind, it might be with more negative feelings but it was still an obsession.
Tossing out the towel she left the three spirits in the restroom and returned to her table. Her graceful movements did not show off her figure or sway like many vixens might with such a handsome male watching. She returned to her seat careful not to look at him or bump him. Though she did glance at him. Alkiviadis was indeed handsome. The long raven hair framed his face even within the hood and his pale eyes were bright and bold. And his pale fur was very light on the eyes. He could be a very good model. And the way he held himself was so fine and proud, maybe that is why the spirit and the girls outside had recognized him?

Alkiviadis felt, more than he could see, the skull's expression with his gift. He chuckled warmly, and raised an eyebrow. "Well now, you must have lifetimes of fascinating stories stored in that handsome skull of yours. Do you have a name?" he smiled and was intrigued to ask more questions. He could sit here for days and listen, if the young vixen would have it. As it was, he was beginning to get a little nervous with how long she had been gone for. He really had to find some way to apologize properly to the young lady.
Alkiviadis still couldn't shake the feeling of her energy; it felt alive, or perhaps something else was with her? He tried to close his eyes and imagination the earlier glimpse of the red energy floating around here in his mind. The image stayed right at the edges of his mind, but Alkiviadis was certain there was something special about her.
As he watched her come back, studying her graceful composure, the way her Kimono neither gave away her figure, nor did it do her injustice, he found himself lost in her indigo eyes. Alkiviadis watched as she sat (and he let out a sigh of relief), but was careful not to touch her. Alkiviadis stared at her energies, ignoring all else around them, and couldn't catch sight of the red glow again, but ended up with a major head ache, and had to quit staring at her as he closed his eyes. "You are a peculiar noodle," Alkiviadis spoke rubbing the area between his eyes with his thumb. "Your friend there is quite the catch too," he nodded toward the skull. "What must I do to properly apologize?" He decided to be blunt and to the point. Alkiviadis opened his eyes, and looked at her curiously.

"Oh my young sir I can tell you so many tales, I used to travel the world and see all sorts of things. I have had more hearts then I am sure you have had longing stares." he chuckled and rather liked having someone new to talk to. And to have someone interested in him, "As for my name...well you can call me what she calls me. She refers to me simply as Hyeong." He said friendly enough. "After all I would be your older brother Had I still a body. And was a noodle of course."
Fan Ning could feel a very intent look. It had been rather hard not to look up into the pale eyes of the handsome male. She could tell the look was from him. She had no idea what it was that had him staring so intently at her. She sat down at the table hearing him sigh and feeling his tension, "If you were not staring so hard you would not have the headache." She said softly, "I am particular? I do not see it. I am simply normal. My friend?" She did glance over her shoulder at him at that. It was just as he was opening his eyes again. She had to admit that that image was a bit more on the breath taking side of things. She did not mean for her cheeks to darken and a small gasp to escape her her lips at that. Turning quickly she looked back at the skull her body tensing a bit. Why were her cheeks so heated and her heart racing a bit.
This caused the skull to almost beam. He had never seen Fan Ning so worked up. He chuckled and had he had eyes he would have winked at Alkiviadis. "Looks like you may have a clever new friend Fan Ning, maybe you should let him apologize to you." he said his voice cracked with age but still young and full of energy. This caused Fan Ning's head to jerk up, "Hyeong do not say such things!" she was clueless to the fact that the male behind her could hear the skull. She did not care that others were now watching her as she joined in the conversation the model had been having with a skull.

"I'm Alkiviadis, and I can't disagree with you there," Alkiviadis chuckled along with Hyeong. He took a sip of his tea as he listened. "It's a pleasure to meet you Hyeong. I hope I may have the chance to listen to your stories in the future, and older brother?" He wanted to ask more, but didn't have the chance. Hyeong was gone from view for a moment, and Alkiviadis was listening to the young vixen between them.
Alkiviadis smiled at her, and tapped his temple. "It's hard not to stare at a beautiful vixen like yourself," the words came out of his mouth naturally. He really wanted to ask her about the red glow that seemed to be gone, but stuck to flirting out of fear his questions would be too personal. "Yes, you are a peculiar noodle. You have an air of mystery about you; there's something I can sense, but it's not quite there anymore," Alkiviadis took another sip of his tea. The headache had begun to subside, and the lavender seemed to be helping.
He caught her glance, and his smiled widened. "Your friend. The handsome white fellow there next to your cup of tea," he chuckled warmly. Her hair was beautiful in the light, and it looked soft and silky. He wanted to undo her elegant updo, and run his fingers through her hair. If she turned to speak to him, Alkiviadis knew he would automatically be captivated by her indigo eyes. He hadn't seen eyes like hers before.
He heard what Hyeong has said, and his ears perked up so he could be sure of what he was hearing. Fan Ning, Alkiviadis said her name in his head. It appeared she didn't know he could hear Hyeong, and he chuckled warmly. "Is something the matter?" he asked softly. "I almost forgot. Who do I have the pleasure of speaking with, miss?" He tipped his head to her, though she couldn't see him. "My name is Alkiviadis Blackmoon."

And as his flirtatious words slid from his lips she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. The b*****d most likely said that to every female he met. She could just image how many vixen lost their innocence to such a male. She almost growled her claws scratching the mug she had just picked it up again. She could not hide her displeasure this time and her ears folded back.
Hyeong could see her mood shifting again and he sighed a bit. This vixen really needed some social skills and interactions. "Fan Ning, he is being polite do not be rude to him! You are, like your brothers, very beautiful." he advised. He liked this male and would not mind getting to know him better. Any one who could actually hear him and whom wanted to know more was a good guy in his view.
Fan Ning took a long slow drink of her tea. "Your petty words will do nothing to me sir. And yes my friend is the only one I can trust fully. He is Hyeong and he goes every where with me. I am never without him." She said evenly. Then bit her lip. As much as she did not want too she gave a slow quiet breath. Blackmoon was not a name that was unfamiliar to the vixen. "Mr. Blackmoon, if we are to continue the conversation I think it best we share a table so we are not talking back to front. Would you care to join me here?" She asked.
She waited for him to join her table before she answered his question, "I am Fan Ning Ying. They air you feel about me may be the simple fact that I am a haunted vixen. If you believe in spirits I always have them around me." She said the fact as if it was a very common place thing, "I find every noodle is hunted in one way or another."

Alkiviadis heard the scratching of her mug, and noticed her ears as they folded back. He winced at the sound, and nervously tugged at his hood unsure of what to do at the present moment. Sitting still and simply listening seemed to be the best option, as any wrong movements might upset her.
Alkiviadis' ears perked up a little as Hyeong spoke in his favor, or he hoped so at least. He didn't hint that he could hear the skull, and was shocked as she spoke to him a moment later.
"If flattery offends you, I won't do it again. I thank you for being kind to me, though," he smiled warmly as he stood and moved to her table. He was careful not to bump her again, and as soon as he was seated, he removed his hood and gave her a respectful nod. All instinct to flatter her, and sweep her off of her feet he fought. It was natural to him to compliment females as he found they were all beautiful. Though that was wrong to say because he knew each noodle, male or female, had their own individual beauty.
"Your name suits you," Alkiviadis kept the compliment neutral. "Hmm, I do not see your spirits now. Do they speak to you like Hyeong does?" He replied as though the topic they were conversing about was an every day subject. "I would have to agree. I have found that some hauntings aren't as spirit bound as most think. Sometimes it's an energy attached to a person. Like," he tried to think of the words to explain. "Like a part of the deceased is stuck with said noodle instead of the whole spirit, if that makes sense."

As he moved to sit with her his back to the window so his fans could not see him, she heard his comment. She sighed a bit and tried to keep her tone calm and be nice like Hyeong asked. “Flattery offends me only when I know that is is not a real compliment. I know it is something that is used on many others before me so I know that your words no matter how kind they are are not serious or most likely truthful.” All of her words were said as he was removing the hood and looking at her. He was strange one and with such a handsome face and attitude it was no surprise he could get anything he wants. She was trying to to resent him. “Please do not think that I will be like those vixen’s outside and fawn over your pretty looks and sweet words.”
She took a sip of her tea and her almost cruel eyes grew wide and she could not longer hide her surprise at his following words after the compliment to her name. She knew the Blackmoon family had dark or death skills but it was still not something she normally talked about. Even with her own family she did not speak of the spirits who were always around her and yet here this handsome male was wanting to talk about it. She could not figure out if he was humoring her or really being serious and interested. “Yes that does make sense sir. I have to agree sometimes a part of a person seems left behind like a shadow or a memory. I hate to admit it, but I am rather impressed that you could see the ones around me today. They are full spirits…and they do talk..though I would rather they would not. You have two wood over.”
“Do you yourself have dealings with spirits Mr. Blackmoon?” She asked him, now are bit more interested despite of herself.

His ears perked up more at her assertions that she would not be swayed by pretty compliments and he smiled genuinely with relief. "To be honest, you're quite a breath of fresh air and I appreciate chatting with you without the fawning. I guess from the way I am presented to the world, I always expect it, and it annoys me. It's hard to have real friends who I can trust and be normal with. Thank you for giving me a taste of normalcy," Alkiviadis' eyes shone with his enthusiasm. He really was liking the conversation even though she seemed to dislike him. It only made him smile a little more.
He listened to her as the last of his headache left. Sipping his tea from time to time, he tried his darndest not to smile too much knowing his facial muscles would hurt after a while, and he'd probably come off as creepy. Alkiviadis focused on the conversation and being serious, and ignoring each compliment that slipped into his brain. Oh how he wished he could compliment her whether she believed him or not, but his better sense told him to hold his tongue. "I had to concentrate pretty hard to catch a glimpse of them as my skills aren't quite that advanced. I have an aunt that is teaching me and it will take some time before I am advanced enough with the magic to be able to see spirits without giving myself a migraine," he tucked away her complimenting him. He hadn't missed it, but didn't want to tease her and run her off. "They must be wily spirits for you to wish them silent at times," Alkiviadis chuckled and sat his cup down.
"My teachings in the ways of death and spirits is a secret. There are some of my family who would rather not have my heart and mind learn such a dark skill. But I've never found it to be dark; just the people who use it in that manner." He leaned back and let the information soak in. It wasn't just spirits he was dealing with, but the necromancy magic of it as well. The magic was the part he was really learning and he knew it was a chaotic, almost evil magic.
