 Tenzin and Damian
The dark stallion moved soundlessly through his forest, an impressive feat for one his size. At his side, a wolf padded at his side, his ears and eyes alert as they searched the forest with restlessness. The wolf had joined his bonded after a hunt, specks of fresh blood around his maw. The horse beside him paid it no mind, for his thoughts were on a far darker matter.
A few hours earlier, Tenzin had found a frantic mare in his forests. She had a bruise forming along one flank and as he led her deeper into the woods, she told him most chilling news. There was a skinwalker in the Western Region. He had was a seasoned warrior, out of necessity only, but never had he faced such a monster before. He would have to go about this in a manner he rarely did. He glanced over to Damian, his forever-companion and let out a small sigh. He would protect those important to him and he would make sure that the skinwalker lurking would think twice before she ever stepped hoof into his forests... If she managed to escape with what remained of her villainous life, that was.
"Tenzin?" His familiar had stopped, his nose in the air, "The air smells wrong. Sour, somehow. Anyway, I don't like it." The wolf gave a soft whine, but looked up at his bonded with sudden confidence. "We'll get through this together, won't we?"
The draft stallion felt his eyes soften and he smiled. "Yes, Damian. However tough or frightening our foe might be, we will see this battle through to the end, together."

Obelus hadn't counted on the mare being as quick as she had been. the slender mare replaced by a massive bear. the beast running on a backwind, the road was well travelled scents mixed on the air, making the already fading trail weak. She came to a stop at a literal wall of trees. Trunks growing so close that even a fox could't squeeze through. The walker sniffed trying to find where the mare had went. But the trail was mixed and the forest full of life, mudding the scent to the point it may as well be lost. Frustrated she slashed at the closest tree- her emerald claws leaving deep rake marks in the wood the trees sap getting into her fur and between her claws. No amount of wiping which would remove more than small bits. Growling in irritation as she stalked slowly down the tree line with flared nostrils until she picked up a swampy smell and the blood of a fresh kill. Following the scent trail to a very well obscured opening. She was quiet now and knew her prey hadn't been in the forest long. musing on how to keep matters in her favor. A wicked thought spreading. Shifting back into herself- she had such trouble thinking anything too complicated while feral. The verdant forest full of plants many as beautiful as they were toxic. Moving quietly she gathered what she could find from memory. Mixing a large batch of a crude cocktail of toxic herbs and irritants. which she rubbed on the leaves of the branches all about her. focusing on the large draping boughs a stallion would have to crash through to enter the clearing. spreading the last of the mixture heaviest doses on leafy ends of a pile of branches she had pulled down, now gathered at her feet. Her last action was to knock down a bird nest- she crushed them under her sap covered paw blood and bones congealing with to the tree sap- the effect perfected by poking deep but small pinholes in her self mixing her own blood with the rest, making sure to have a trickle of blood leaking from her mouth and ears. laying down near her pile of branches- imitating as if she had fallen from the tree and injured herself badly- now waiting. OOC knowege: the mixture is a irritant - made of crushed variety of nettles mixed with toxic berries.

Tenzin and Damian
Despite the fact that Damian and his bonded had agreed to stay together on their quest, Damian had not allowed Tenzin to walk a step further until he figured out what that horrible smell was! The wolf had gone to far as to growl at Tenzin to wait for his signal that it was clear. Careful steps around broken branches and bitter-scented bushes made it clear that hiding in these woods was a natural feat for the canine.
He was just turning his nose around a corner when something new crossed his line of sight. In a small clearing, he was certain that he saw a flicker of fire and his fur raised almost immediately along his neck. He was far too young to have witnessed the Great Fire that wiped out many of the forests and plains of the Kawani lands, but there were stories of such fires and like all creatures, Damian held an irrational fear of it.
He approached with caution, not smelling smoke, but the fire was certainly there. However, these were not the orange and yellow flames he had been told of, but instead held a green hue and one that was far worse when he found what had produced such an unnatural color of flame.
They were the eyes of another creature. He was unable to determine what it was from his view, for he kept his distance, staying towards the trees and bushes around the clearing, unaware that the enemy that he and Tenzin were supposed to attack together was just a few feet away from him.
"Who are you, stranger?" He growled suddenly, ears flattening as he tried to keep hidden among the leaves. It would be impossible to get a better view of what he was dealing with, but any creature with eyes made out of green fire couldn't possibly be good news. "Why have you come to the Western Forests?"
Unknown to Damian, Tenzin had begun to move again, for one of the trees towards where he had found the mare called Savannah was not the way it had been earlier. There were deep gouges in the barks surface now, sap trickling from the tree like blood. Tenzin's ears went back in shock and then pointed directly forward again. He had to find Damian, before the creature that did this could.

Obelus was caught off guard- the eyes of young wolf shone from the brush. It’s breath smelling of a fresh hunt as he called out to her. The clearing was chosen for it’s proximity to the edge of the forest. She had no intention of getting caught too deep in these strange woods, the trees- perhaps in response to the harm inflicted one of their own seemed to close in on her. The bearwalker lay still in it’s feral from with head tucked into her chest, Keeping an eye on the wolf in the brush, and it’s fangs. Stopping as she was addressed to smell the blood in the air letting out a slow deep sniffles as she drew in the air. Raising favoring her ‘good’ leg and leaning against the tree. By will increasing her natural tendency to Shake. Even when she wasn’t hungry- the smell of blood all about her stirred Obelus’ instincts. Called for her to hunt, consume. Making it increasingly difficult to wait. Fighting the need to kick a rock into the wolfs face and taste it’s blood in the air before pouncing on it. Only the knowledge the quick animal would dodge the rock and run off to warn it’s master stopped her. Musing on how to distract the wolf long enough for the guardian to spring her trap.

The creature didn't make a noise, save for the shifting of its legs and Damian was just able to see a vague bear shape from his hiding place. A demon bear? Great, this was just what he needed. He was already on the lookout for the bear-walker and now he had to deal with a demon- Wait. What if the demon bear was the bear walker, but in feral form? He had heard from rumors that walkers were able to take on animal forms unlike those of a Soquili (he had even suspected his own mother of being one, once), but he was a sheltered creature and had certainly never dealt with this on his own. With quiet and agile paws, he withdrew. He would never be able to take on something like this on his own, he had to get back to Tenzin. Once he was certain he was out of hearing distance of the demon, he bolted, eyes wide and salivating from panic. He would have missed the giant stallion if Tenzin himself hadn't been moving so quickly. "Tenzin! I found it! I found the walker!" The wolf was still hesitating to speak loudly, but he didn't have to, for in an instant, Tenzin's full attention was on him and Damian was spilling everything. What he had seen, what he thought the demon bear's true nature was, and where he had seen it. "What're we going to do, Tenzin?" Whined the wolf. Tenzin closed his eyes, his heart beating heavy in his chest as he tried to come up with a conceivable plan. He did not want to kill anyone, no matter how demonic they may be, but he would not allow this walker to do him or any of his forest harm. Damian had already had a close encounter with it and while he was reluctant to let the wolf get so close to it again, he would have to in order to his surfacing plan to work. ------ Damian tried hard not to shake as he walked from the shadows into the direct sight line of the demon-bear-walker. He bared his teeth at it, ears pinned to his head and gave a fierce snarl. "You tested my patience, demon." He hoped he sounded more intimidating than he felt. "I have summoned my pack and we will see you gone from this forest, permanently." Tilting his head back, he let out a bellowing howl, which nearly covered the sounds of uplifting roots as a large tree. The tree fell directly onto the demon, it's foliage obscuring the bear from Damian's view. Moments later, Tenzin appeared and raising uneasily into his hind legs, he planted his hooves onto the trunk of the fallen tree, pushing his weight onto it. "The Western Forests are no place for filth like your kind." The stallion pushed off from the trunk and stamped a front hoof on steady ground, punctuated by a single command. "Leave, now. If I ever catch a single sniff of you in my forest, or a hint of a whisper that you are near, I will not be as merciful as I have been today." Green eyes burning, one could might of said that Tenzin's eyes mirrored the green fire in that of the skinwalkers. He would not move until he saw the creature out of his borders, even chasing it from them if he must. He would not let any harm come to his home. ABVirus Sorry for the god-mod, I just wanted to wrap up this RP as soon as possible.

Obelus was unable to think- between her feral form and the numb feeling turning to searing pain as she tried to move her hind legs. Each breath matched by a sharp stinging from where broken ribs ground against each other. The compound she had set for her trap now running into her own wounds- making them sing in a cacophonous choir drowning out all else. The flames in her eyes flickering wildly as she propped herself up in a uneven manner - favoring her right side. glaring at the stallion her head moving in a spastic manner. growling at his pet for a moment before letting out a series of short harsh bursts of laughter. Putting one claw in front of the other and dragging herself off singing " thunder on the treeline- a crack at the glade- stopping with pain moving through her face *ah haaaaaa* one crack, two crack, three and four- flickering fire until the glade is.... no more. Fire spreading tree to tree- one crack, two crack... three and four- you speak strong words, but... a long laugh of pain cutting off the song ...but... I am young, you are old. Will your squire- be so bold. when one crack, two crack three and four- fire flickering at your door. You'll catch no wiff of me, save for smoke and blood, burning up the crippled forms of those you love." Reaching the edge of the forest and pausing, letting out a part growl part scream as she kicked hard- spraying the nearby trees at the forest's edge with her cursed blood and masking the extent of her pain under laughter. your mercy will be your fall- one crack two crack- threeeeeee and fouuuur, flickering flames and home- you have no more.
Obelus din't intend to actually burn down the forest, (It was too close to her home after all) but she wanted to remind the stallion that his home of wood and leaves was but a lightning storm away from ash. She slowed down once out of the woods, and crawled slowly back to her cave- applying salves to the wounds she could reach and spending the rest of the next few days pulling twigs and splinters from herself. She would not shift out of her feral form for some time, since her hind legs were badly hurt. Both legs hind broken in a few places with at least two broken ribs. So- the predator slept- humbled and simmering hoping that her trail of blood would lead her next meal to her through good nature, since she was in no place to hunt.
