Lerin to tell you the truth was worried. Seth and Allie had just.. well disappeared. She hadn’t heard from them in months and Frost had started asking questions. Unfortunately she wasn’t sure how to answer the little guy. It was just a huge mess. Still she made sure that she came out to the academy every weekend to spend it with him. Being a sudden single parent was a bit hard but she luckily had her family's support, especially her twin’s and frost’s cousins were always happy to run over and bother him. Today though, she had gotten done with classes early and had decided to surprise frost. Of course right now she was waiting for the caretakers to find her son and bring him over. So what better way to sit on the ledge of one of the new nixie fountains the campus had installed.
However she had more important things than get caught in old memories and she let out a small smile getting up from her impromptu fountain seat as she caught sight of familiar white hair. “Hi frost. I hope you don’t mind that I surprised you” Lerin spoke up since he was still a bit away. She herself hated surprises but she really had wanted to see frost today. Hopefully he didn’t take after her too much in that regard.
Frost sprinted to where the caretaker had told him his mother was waiting for him and, without warning, launched himself into her arms for snuggles. Frost didn't take after his parents at all on the surprise issue. He loved surprises, especially when it got him extra momma time. Two of his parents had gone 'on vacation' and they still weren't back...the sudden disappearance made Frost a bit more clingy towards his one remaining parent. He didn't want her to disappear too. Truth be told, he sat on her lap a lot more often when they were at home, unconsciously anchoring her there.
She was a bit surprised at the sudden snuggle attack but really she was just as snuggly as of late and as such returned the affection almost instantly. Seth and Allie’s disappearance had hit the remainder of their family hard and most nights Lerin had half a mind to track them down and have a large a** talk with them. With one last tight squeeze she let up least Frost change his mind and get all embarrassed. She was still getting used to raising a growing boy. Growing up all her family had been girls other than her dad. However Frost seemed rather happy so hopefully she was doing an okay job.
