Cosplay - It's not the most illustrious hobby (in fact, Minoru isn't even that into anime or manga), but with a desire to be a model and zero networks in the field, he has made do with the next best thing: Posing for shoots at cons in outfits tailored to his size. Much to his chagrin, he has more connections in the convention scene than he does in the fashion world, so whenever there is a cosplay maker open to making outfits but not photogenic enough in front of a camera, he'd totally be willing to take their place as long as he could fit into said clothing. He doesn't judge based on the character nor the subject matter as long as he isn't stark naked at the sound of the shutter. He has even taken on his own handle, called Kin, to save face regarding who he is outside of this hobby.
Smartphone games - Like any other human being, Minoru needs something to occupy his time, but he hates putting a lot of effort into games that require a lot of grinding or, well, commitment. So when it comes to time-based smartphone games where one has to wait for results or to continue, he's totally, well, game for them as they don't require a lot of energy to play. Much to his chagrin, he's awkwardly attached to atsume'ing some nekos and is addicted to a point that he has spent actual money on it. Unfortunately, with a father that doesn't understand his obsession and a mother who will only smile and nod at his explanation of things, he tries to downplay his love of it. His favorite cat is Tubbs (despite their love-hate relationship) and he keeps a plush of the glutton on his bed.
Virtues:
Cordial - Minoru comes off as your typical gentleman; composed and ready to tackle the nearest complication if the need arises. A well-balanced etiquette and softly set manners have been chiseled into his heart by his momma dearest, so disrespecting anyone is out of the question. He is known to keep everything level, from his posture to his tone, and won't raise his voice at all. This causes many to see him as the lax and quiet type, which is actually not too far from his true personality, though he's a bit more of a bookish dreamer. He does keep to himself as a result, it doesn't take much to strike up a conversation with him.
Frugal - One lesson Minoru learned from his father and won't ever forget is frugality. Despite growing up in one of the higher income neighborhoods of Destiny City, the male was taught at a young age that nothing should go to waste and a life of extravagance and lavishness could have deathly consequences. Even his home was of the modest necessities and never decorated with all of the baubles, trinkets, and things that would certainly make the eye pop. Though Ayako, his mother, complained to her son about it from time to time, Minoru agreed with his father and thought it was the right way to live.
Flaws:
Lazy - Minoru is exceptionally lazy. If a chore takes more than a flick of his wrist to solve, he believes it is not worth his time at all. He pushes tasks onto others he feels more capable, charming them with fake-friendly comments to persuade them, rather than force them, since he is a bit of a coward and drifts away from confrontations and the like if they happen to catch onto his plan. He becomes a ball of frailty; shivering and sniffling, when they do. All in all, Minoru is more bark than bite; a coward that gets away with things by sugar coating lost souls with pretty words.
Indifferent - Minoru just... doesn't care about many things. Even if a dilemma has him as the source to blame. To the male, once an action is done, it's done, and he is powerless to undo or right the wrongs he's committed. It becomes the next person's problem to deal with, so he shrugs it off and goes on his merry way. This has infected every facet of his life as a result. With a face that never betrays its indifferent mask, it is sort of hard to tell who or what Minoru cares about. Due to this, even if he does care, some may be inclined to think he's not even sparing a situation a second thought.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Orange; narrow.
Hair: Light turquoise; cut in an asymmetrical bob favoring his right side (see reference). A single red tassel earring can also be seen hanging from his left ear.
