Aurora had been going through her cabinets when her phone buzzed - taking inventory for one last shopping trip before Christmas dinner - making a list to make sure nothing was forgotten.
It was probably Azzo, she assumed, and didn't jump at the noise - marking a couple more checks on her tiny little sheet of paper before finally making her way over to the phone.
Pulling up the screen confirmed that it was not Azzo at all and her curiousity bubbled, glancing over the message, before stopping and re reading it again more slowly.Sleet Tempest Snape It’s been a long time since we’ve last spoken but you need to know this. I just came back from Delphi and there is running water – and heat! The heating is heated water in pipes that run through the walls. But it’s there – I have to show you.
It took a moment for the thoughts to all connect in her head, but when it did it came like a wave. Had she fixed that all and figured it out on her own? Or was it actually... magic? Like they'd spoken of months ago?
The young woman may very well have been bouncing on her toes a bit as her fingers quickly typed back a reply.Quote: You got the water running at your Wonder? That's incredible! When her phone buzzed, finally, she had been pacing about hr living room glancing at her phone every few moments. She had been filled with nerves wondering what the other would think, what she would say. She knew that the other was surely going to be happy about it, but beyond that she was unsure of the other woman's reaction. Dressed in a fluffy robe, still dripping wet from her shower, she scooped up her phone and typed in a reply. Quote: I didn't, it did it all on it's own. I went there...something has felt off. I was able to go a second time - too soon normally. I found the code...or a part of it. I need to explain in person - and show you. Quote: We can go whenever you want, I can't take us though.

Aurora had continued on her list half mindedly, but within moments her phone buzzed again and she returned to it enthusiastically. Her lips pursed thoughtfully at the message. She'd heard about the Code before... but not about being able to travel earlier than usual. Or things feeling off, unless it was jut the.. normal strange nagging that spending too much time on a world devoid of life could bring.
The offer to speak in person though and see what Winterlynn was talking about was a welcome one. Glancing from her list to the time she frowned a little, it wasn't the best time in the world to be asking someone to put their pre-christmas plans on the back burner. But then the other woman had said 'whenever'. Worst Winterlynn could do is say no and put it off for another time.
Typing out her message she waited curiously for a response.Quote: Are you free to go tonight? Or is that too short notice? I'd be free to meet up in 30 minutes or so. It's as good a time as ever to test the theory that I can transport us up there and we can walk the rest of the way to Delphi. Or we can wait and do it some other time if that's better for you.

She had just been setting her glass down, half empty already, when her phone was buzzing again signaling another text. Picking it up and unlocking the screen she was greeted by an offer up to Polaris, and possibly Delphi, and it wasn't an offer she'd pass up. Something big had happened at her wonder and it was a good idea that Polaris see it. Not only was it a good thing, a step in the right direction, but that feeling..she hadn't liked it one bit.
Typing out a message she hit send and then moved to finish her glass of wine, put the bottle away, and prepare to go out and meet Aurora so they could go up to Polaris together. Quote: I can meet you in half an hour, just tell me where. It's not too short a notice, I think it would be good to go sooner rather than later. It's a big thing and should be seen.
