It had been a bright new day in a bright new year. Abigail had finished signing up for her next semester of classes online and decided to reward herself that evening with a night out on the town. This 'night out' came in the former of powering up and hopping rooftops before finally winding up in an abandoned lot that someone had installed a small jungle gym on for the city kids.
Sailor Thisbe climbed to the top of the metal dome, taking a seat on the round circle while letting her legs dangle down through the bars. She could catch her breath for a moment and enjoy the nice, cool, crisp evening air.

Olga had been of a similar mind, and she was excited for classes to start again, because she loved learning. She was also going to miss the extra time she had been able to dedicate to patrolling over Winter Break, though. Ah well! It couldn't be helped, and she could only continue to try her best!
Sedna had been zipping nearby from roof top to roof top when she felt the signature, an order one, thankfully, and her curiosity was piqued (not that it took much to interest her, honestly). The senshi changed course, grinning a bit as she made a bee line for the signature. She landed on the ground, on the edge of the lot, and jogged the rest of the way. The other senshi was easily, spotted, and Sedna's grin widened as she waved an arm over her head enthusiastically at the other.
"Heya!" She greeted, and once she was close enough, she leapt up, and landed near Thisbe on the metal dome with a metallic thud. She pressed her boots against the bars as she knelt there, and her hands grabbed the bars as well to keep her there and upright. "You're a new face! I love meeting new people!" One hand left the bars to be thrust at the other.
"Thisbe, of Woe." She laughed, slipping her hand into the other young woman's to give it a light shake. Most of her 'first encounters' weren't nearly as perky, and this one had definitely been a bit unexpected. She'd barely had time to react or rebalance herself before the Senshi of Ships had joined her, but it was much better than being attacked out of nowhere.
"You'll meet a lot of new faces in a city like this dressed up like that. Good and bad, I've noticed. Nice hat, by the way." She flashed Sedna a grin, reaching up to lower her hood so that she could get a better look at the other senshi. "Pants too? Sometimes I'd kill for pants..."

"Woah, woe?" Sedna's eyes widened as she stared at the senshi in awe. "That seems like...such cool magic! If not with the potential to be sad---It's a pleasure to meet you, Thisbe!" She shook the senshi's hand firmly and with enthusiasm, and beamed at her as she continued to hang there on the dome.
"Oh, thanks! Nice hood!" She gave her a fox eyed grin. "That seems like it'd be really cozy right about now!" Sedna blinked, and when Thisbe brought up her pants, she looked down at them. "Ah---yeah, yanno---I hadn't given it too much thought before, but then I think back on the senshi I've met, and a lot of them do have skirts...I guess there's pros and cons, yeah? Seems like it'd be cold in a skirt right about now, though!" She mused about it for a moment, before curiosity about the other got the best of her.
"Four years. It'll be five this summer, but... Don't let the length of time fool you. Can't say I've spent an awful lot of that time powered up or doing my civic duty to the City of Destiny." Her lips pressed together into an expression that spoke plainly of how disappointed she was in herself.
"Funny you mention the cold, though. I don't really notice it. I'm sure it has something to do with the magic. I can tell that the cold is there; that the air is crisp and I'd probably be shivering if I was wearing something like this as a civilian, but as is?" Thisbe shook her head, laughing softly. "I think it's all about cosmetics. You should see Vengeance."

Too late! Sedna's eyes were already sparkling with awe at the fact Thisbe had been a senshi for almost five years now. "Wowie! Still---being powered for that long is amazing! I'm still pretty new---just a few months!" She nodded her head, and grinned. "Oh, good! I kinda thought maybe it was because I had layers, but that's good to hear! I'd feel really bad for the...yanno, less clothed Senshi if that was the case!"
Her mouth then made an 'O' shape. "Vengeance!? That sounds like such an awesome magic! Holy crow! What does Vengeance's outfit look like!?"
Captain Richterite had caught trace of a familiar energy signature and had followed it, hoping to finally catch the drop on a senshi who had been a pain in his a** lately. It brought a smirk to his face when he realized that neither of the scouts had been paying enough attention to catch his approach.
Richterite hopped down from a nearby rooftop, landing on the pavement just in time to hear the questions of the Senshi who wasn't Thisbe. "Allow me to answer that one... Dark hair, dark ruffles. Mean scowl. A bit of a b***h, if you ask me. Packs one hell of a punch too."
Thisbe scrambled quickly to her feet, yanking her hood up quickly as though it would offer her a form of defense from the Negaverse agent. Her eyes narrowed from beneath it, watching him while waiting to see if he'd brought any back up. He was usually alone and she was usually the one to stumble across him. Thisbe wasn't certain she liked this role reversal...
"Watch out for him," she muttered beneath her breath. "He's a Captain who talks too much. His weapon is metal throwing cards and his aim's been getting better."

Sedna let out a surprised yelp at the sudden new voice, and the sudden and uncomfortable ping of a duh Chaos signature. She also ended up slipping right off the side of the dome, and landed on the ground with a thump. The senshi immediately leapt back to her feet, hat askew, and tense as she turned towards the Captain. Her black eyes slid to Thisbe briefly, nodding a bit in acknowledgement, and then turned back to the agent with a bit of a grimace.
What was up with Captains having dangerous weapons? Still, she felt a bit better about the two versus one thing---even if he was a higher level than them.
"Move along, guy!" She called out to the Captain. "There's an advantage in numbers!"
"Sorry, Skipper. Not likely to happen. Actually," he paused, rocking on his heels for a moment before flashing a smirk at the senshi he was unfamiliar with. "Since it's not your fault that you've got bad taste in company, you can go if you do so now. My problem's only with this one," he summoned one of his cards to his hand, pointing it at Thisbe.
"You're so full of it." She snorted, shaking her head, although she honestly wouldn't blame Sedna if she wanted to duck out. She had doubts as to whether or not she could take the Captain on her own, but she could at least stall him until back up came if she needed to call for Corvus. "Honestly, it wouldn't be the first time you've gotten your a** kicked by two ladies. Obviously not too smart, this one... What do you think, Sedna?"

Guh. Skipper. Kind of funny, actually, but supposed to be an insult too, probably? "You got a bad taste in timing, guy!" Sedna raised her fists, indicating she was ready to roll. She gave a nod to Thisbe, grimacing a bit. She definitely wasn't about to leave a fellow senshi at the hands of an agent who was a higher level than her.
Actually, since he was already pointing his weapon as Thisbe---that seemed like a good reason to start a battle. She tried to warn him!
Sedna clapped her hands together, and then held them out. "Sedna's sinking!" Her magic took the form of a small fleet of ships, and shot out towards the Captain. Hopefully it'd give them an edge!

SORRY FOR THE DELAY OTL
Sailor Scout Attack: Sedna’s Sinking Sedna claps her hands together and then holds them out, releasing an aura, that takes the form a small feet of ships half her height, around herself that spans 7 feet. An ominous feeling of sinking envelopes those in range and lasts for 30 seconds. Can be used three times.
All of a sudden it felt like the ground was falling out from beneath him; something like that swimming feeling you got when you stood up too fast and everything just sank. He wobbled on his feet rather unexpectedly and dropped to his knees, but not before making an awkward attempt to throw one of his metal cards at Thisbe.
It was so much easier to dodge one of his attacks when he couldn't throw. Thisbe found herself grinning brightly, flashing Sedna a double thumbs up. "Whatever your attack does, that's pretty awesome, Sedna! Wish mine came with some sort of visible feature. Still not entirely sure what it does to people..."

Sedna flashed Thisbe a thumbs up back, but still kept an eye on Richterite, even down, he was still a Captain! "Thanks! Hey---with magic like woe, I'm definitely sure I wouldn't wanna wide out---be on the receiving end of it, yeah?" She raised both of her fists again.
"I'll say it one more time, guy! Move on! There's more where that came from!"
"Skipper's more intelligent than you are," he grunted as he pushed himself up, glad that the wobbly feeling was finally starting to fade. "Packs more of a punch too. You could probably learn a thing or two from her. Could've fooled me that you've been at it longer."
He was instigating now, and more than a little bit irritated. He readied another card, this time truing up his aim before letting a card fly.
"s**t." Thisbe tried to step out of the way again but didn't move fast enough to keep the card from clipping her arm, leaving a decent gash along her bicep that she did her best to ignore beyond cursing.
"I have to get in close enough to touch him," she muttered, hoping that he was too busy being smug to notice that she was saying anything to Sedna. "So stupid. I should've taken your opening when I had the chance..."

Sedna gasped, loudly, as the weapon got Thisbe, and her brows knitted with concern. "Are you alright!?" She paused for a moment, and gave a short nod of her head. "Hey---how about we rush him? I'll go first---and then you can follow up behind me while he's distracted?" She tried to keep her voice hushed, after all, it wasn't a surprise if he heard them---
Also, this was kinda exciting. She was like a super hero in a movie. Plotting out attack maneuvers and what not! Unfortunately, Sedna was so eager, that she didn't bother waiting for Thisbe's feedback, and instead just went for it. She rushed the captain with a feint, looking like she was about to attack him, but hoping to just distract him long enough for Thisbe.
Thisbe had seconds to confirm that she was fine before nodding at the plan, knowing that she was more irritated that the scratch hurt than concerned that she was bleeding. Then Sedna was off and she was acting quick on her own feet, falling in line behind the other senshi. The rush was just crazy enough that it might work.
Captain Richterite was starting to second guess whether or not he should have shown himself that evening. He could have watched from afar. He could have stalked and scowled and plotted, but no. He just had to instigate the senshi with a new friend who seemed smart enough to actually plan out attacks before carrying them out.
He had not overheard much more than the whispering and then they were moving. With Sedna rushing him he didn't have time to aim another card. He could teleport, but that would be a waste of energy. Think. His brain wasn't going nearly fast enough.
"Son of a --" Skipper dodged and Thisbe lunged. He caught her by the wrist as she went to hit him and there were few things he would ever regret more than doing that.
"Veil of Woe!" She hissed, brushing her other hand against his before shoving him roughly back away from her. It was different each time she used her power; each person saw something and she could never tell what. The look on his face made her take another step back, stumbling over her heels as she watched him drop to his knees.
