Welcome to Blood Sport Wrestling.
Here, we hope to carve out a place in wrestling history as the premiere destination for the dirtiest, bloodiest hardcore matches. But simply being tough as nails and just as sharp isn't all it takes to make to big in this little company. You need to know the ropes, pun intended. So, this is a thread designed to answer the basics and get you ready for the painful path to glory ahead of you. For starters...
What are the rules?
1. No flaming. (OOC disrespect of other members or crew.)
2. No godmodding. (Things such as unauthorized auto-hits, puppeting other characters without permission, etc.)
3. 48 hour auto-hits/72 hour auto-wins. (In a match, you are allowed to auto-hit your opponent after 48 hours of inactivity since your last post, and claim an auto victory 72 hours after an unanswered auto-hit)
4. All matches are considered no DQ/no holds barred unless otherwise specified.
5. You must have an approved profile before being booked in BSW.
6. A maximum of two characters per account. Extra characters are subject to approval upon request.
These rules are subject to change. Any breach of personal conduct or punishment thereof is at my discretion to judge.
What are the forums?
In BSW, we keep things simple - BSW #(insert number) is where we have our shows that you can compete and promo during. The title of this forum will alternate depending on the current show taking place. Wrestler Bios is where you post your character profile, according to the skeleton outline found there. As it says in the rules, you can't be booked until you have an approved profile. BSW Archives is the place to find past BSW shows, PPVs, and promos once they've ended. Lastly, our BSW Awards section is the place for recognizing special achievements within the company, such as special rankings or recognition for outstanding performances.
What's the schedule of shows?
To Be Edited
What are the championships here?
In BSW, we have two titles to compete for, each with their own differences. First, we have the BSW World Championship, the belt belonging to whomever has earned the right to call themselves the face of this company. Due to the importance and prestige of this world title, it's only fought for during PPV events, and only by challengers who have earned the right to be #1 Contender. Alternatively, the BSW Headhunter Championship is a title defended every show, where the reigning champ chooses their opponent each card from those who sign up for it. The standard-bearer of the hardcore industry, the Headhunter Champion must be cunning and callous to keep their hold on the belt...much less, their health. Finally, there's the Furies Championship, the crown held by the the woman who best embodies fury and violence in Blood Sport Wrestling.
So, in conclusion...
Well, that's it in a nutshell. Expect more to be added and edited as time goes on, but this is the bare bones of what you need to know to make it in Blood Sport Wrestling. As always, have fun and remember - no pain, no gain. wink

Things To Know #1: Match Types
This is where you can find the different types of hardcore matches done here in BSW. Some of these might be company originals, while others are traditional staples of extreme. If you'd like to submit a match type for standard rotation, shoot me a PM to discuss adding it to the list.
No DQ/No Holds Barred: The standard match type in BSW. If you don't have a stipulation listed in your match, it's this. There are no count-outs or disqualifications, as the title implies. This includes run-ins, low blows, weapons use, and rope breaks. Victory is achieved by pinfall or submission on the canvas, or knock-out.
Street Fight: Similar to a No DQ match, this variety of hardcore combat has all the same rules, but has weapons readily available around ringside in many forms and varieties, allowing for more versatile fighting. Victory is achieved by pinfall or submission on the canvas, or knock-out.
Deathmatch (various): A more extreme variety of a Street Fight, Deathmatches substitute traditional weaponry (kendo sticks, chairs, etc.) for unconventional weapons chosen for the acute levels of pain and blood they create (hypodermic needles, broken glass, etc.) making them much more dangerous to take part in. Victory is achieved by pinfall or submission on the canvas, or knock-out.
Cage Match: In a Cage Match, competitors fight inside of a steel cage that surrounds the apron, preventing access to weapons outside or underneath the ring. However, No DQ rules still apply. Victory is achieved by pinfall or submission on the canvas, escaping through the cage door, or climbing over the cage and landing with both feet on the outside of the ring.
Cage of Death: An alternative of the Cage Match, this stipulation shares the same rules as it's predecessor, only weapons are woven or tied to the walls of the cage for use by the competitors. Victory is achieved by pinfall or submission on the canvas, escaping through the cage door, or climbing over the cage and landing with both feet on the outside of the ring.
Hell in a Cell: A variant of the Cage of Death, this hardcore stipulation sees a five-sided cell lowered over the ring, allowing access to the outside but having no door or open ceiling to escape from. No DQ rules still apply, and victory can only be achieved by pinfall or submission on the canvas.
Staple Gun Match: A unique brand of hardcore match, this stipulation requires the winner to attach the letters B-S-W to their opponent's flesh, using an industrial staple gun and leather letter cut-outs. No DQ rules apply.
Falls Count Anywhere: In this variety of hardcore match, competitors are permitted to attempt pinfalls or submissions in and out of the ring, often leading to matches ending well outside the ringside area, or even outside of the arena. No DQ rules apply.
Ladder (TLC) Match: In a ladder match, victory is achieved by setting a ladder up in the middle of the ring and climbing it to pull down something hanging up from above, such as a title or contract. A more extreme rules variation, known as the TLC Match, features numerous tables, ladders, and chairs around ringside for use by the competitors. No DQ rules apply in both cases.
Last Man Standing: This form of hardcore match uses No DQ rules, but victory can only be achieved by knocking an opponent down for a full ten-count. Pinfalls do not apply and tap-outs do not result in a loss.
First Blood: Similar to a Last Man Standing match, this stipulation uses No DQ rules, but does not recognize pinfalls or submissions as means to win. Rather, victory can only be achieved by being the first to make your opponent bleed. Afterwards, pinfalls and submissions can be counted like normally.
I Quit: In an I Quit match, No DQ rules apply but victory can only be achieved by having one's opponent say "I quit" into a microphone. I Quit attempts can be asked for both in and out of the ring.
Tables Match: In this variety of hardcore match, No DQ rules apply, but pinfalls and submissions do not result in a victory. Rather, you must put your opponent through one of the many tables assembled around ringside to win.
Inferno Match: A special kind of extreme rules match, this type requires the edges of the ring to be lit on fire, and a wrestler to roll their opponent through the flames and out of the ring to achieve victory. No DQ rules apply.
