---------Surface: Heavy forest in shades of Autumn, 3 major lakes discovered. The temperature is warmer-mild year long, with days running a little longer than here on Earth, so BIRBS must be kept sheltered from the cold.

GENETICS
------Natural Colors: Basic colorations are shades of gold, yellow and oranges, though musty reds may occur. Markings are ALWAYS brown unless captive-bred mutations.
------Alterations/Mutations: Prone to albinism [lack of pigment; white and pink] and melanism [too much pigment; black]. Can be born with missing feather accents, less than 4 eyes, white patching, spots, heterochromia, missing, gradient and faded stripes depending on strength of the herd's genetics or captive inbreeding.
------Captivity: Captive-bred BIRBS can come in a variety of color alterations, including base body and marking colors that expand beyond their natural home environment, with no physical faulting being found as for attracting mates.
NOTABLE CHARACTERISTICS
------Head: Smoothly feathered and very round, wide in shape.
------Body: Very "fluffy", but firm beneath the soft down. They tend to have more 'bird-like' movements and twitches over 'horse-like'.
------Wings/Feathering: Strong primary feathers, able to carry a large weight long distances and built for endurance rather than speed.
------Limbs/Feet: Clawed feet can grasp objects, back feet are as powerful as a mule's and used for kicking of the ground for take-off or in defense if claws don't frighten the enemy away.
INTELLIGENCE
------Capable of speech and human communication IF CAPTIVE-RAISED. Those wild-bred tend to lean more towards a series of clicks, whistles, trills, and overheard sounds as communication. They are smart enough to pick up on languages quickly, and shouldn't be talked down
------on or openly mocked to their faces [because they're probably going to kick you through a window for it] although variations can occur, such as act like nothing more than a simple-minded pet if it works to their advantage or refuse to learn a language if they simply choose not to.
