fate brought the two of us together

The incredible, fantastical, hysterical sorcerer Howl. Both him and his wife, Sophie, built up quite a name for themselves. The stern woman and comical man. In truth, they were the perfect pair. But this troupe was yet to be complete, even with the addition of Howl's long-time apprentice, Crowe. The boy had become a man under Mr. Pendragon's tutelage. Truthfully, became a wonderful wizard. Alas, there was still something missing. Howl's promise to a late Alexis Villalobos would be fulfilled, and done so ten-fold. For not only would he allow her to shape her world and magic naturally, as her parents intended, he would do so in shaping his own apprentice, as well.

Crowe and Piper would join together on a dangerous journey only the great wizard Howl could invent, one that would gather together their faults and cracks, and mend them into a story with a happy ending.

______________________________ xxx "So," Howl started, the two of them walking beside one another as they made their way down the crowded streets, eyes set on an oddly placed door part of an oddly placed building at the end of the street. "- did you learn anything new at your aunt's?" The magician looked at the woman with a grin. She scoffed, smiled, crossed her arms and smiled. "You'd be surprised of all the things I've learned, master Howl." Piper replied cryptically as they arrived at the Pendragon estate. Howl only chuckled in reply and opened the door, a gush of wind sucking them inside. In a sudden shift of setting, the door handle clicked and Piper was in a humble home, in a kitchen furnished den with a woman knitting in front of the fireplace. The young witch cocked her head curiously.

It had been an interesting day for her, to say the least. Woken up to have all her things packed up in a single suitcase. Convenience magic her aunt rarely performed. She'd gotten ready and realized the date with a start. Her tenty-first birthday! When she arrived in the kitchen, fireworks sprouted from a cake. Her old aunt was standing there clapping happily next to a pleasantly smiling blond man she instantly recognize. Howl Jenkins. He bowed to her, wished her a pleasant twenty-first, and summoned her things. "We have things to do, places to be, my dear!" He suddenly turned and walked out the door, leaving her no time to even give her aunt a farewell. Though, judging by the tight hug and kiss on the cheek, her aunt seemed perfectly prepared to say goodbye to her. That woman had been the only source of comfort Piper had had after her mother died. She was the one to remind Piper to eat, sleep, and not just focus on her studies. Words couldn't express her appreciation for the nanny-witch, but the hug they shared seemed to say everything Piper couldn't communicate.

Leaving the home, Howl transformed her suitcase into a bird, and it soared off into the distance towards, presumably, her new home. The young witch was half tempted to summon it back and carry her things herself, not wanting all those possessions lost to the wind. However, when the two spell-casters entered the strange place, her bag lay next to Sophie Pendragon, who appeared to bit knitting something. Piper smiled in relief. Howl approached his wife and gave her a hug. "Make her comfortable, okay, Soph? I've gotta be off now." "Yes, dear." Was all that was replied when Howl turned and soared out the door once more, leaving Piper in a daze. Sophie stopped knitting and turned to the blonde witch.

"It's very nice to meet you. I'm Sophie." Timidly, Piper curtsied back to the famous woman. "I'm charmed. My name is Piper Villalobos." "Of course. You take after your father. Such a courageous man, rest him be." The witch apprentice nodded nervously, unsure of how she was to answer that. Sophie caught her uncomfortable gesture and apologized. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry." "No, it's quite fine. It was long ago." They stood there in awkward, temporary silence before Sophie clicked her tongue and motioned to the stairs. "Shall I show you to your room?" Piper nodded and motioned to her bag, the object sprouting eight hairy legs and following after Sophie. She and it followed the woman up the stairs, past a fragrant smelling room, to her space. It was pleasantly furnished, which she appreciated. It was also clean. Another plus!

The bag creature hopped onto her bed and lied down. Piper smiled at it and whistled, legs fading to reveal a tiny, cute little spider to crawl from beneath it. She held her hand out to it, and it crawled into her hand, wrapping itself around her pinkie finger. Sophie stared at the interaction curiously. That wasn't magic you saw everyday.

"Might I ask where master Howl went, Miss Sophie?" "Oh, please, call me Sophie. I believe he went off to collect some things." "For himself?" Sophie smiled and laughed at Piper's little joke. "How befitting. But, no, it's for Howl's other apprentice. I believe you should meet him when he comes back."

Piper stared at Sophie in surprise. "What? Master Howl has another apprentice? Another witch?" Sophie giggled. "Worry not, I'm sure you both will get along. He is a wizard, about your age now. Much different than yourself, but I'm sure you two can learn to get along. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a scarf to knit."

Sophie left the room without another word and left Piper standing their in utter astonishment. Master Howl barely had the patience and maturity to handle speaking with her, how would he manage two apprentices? She let out an exasperated sigh and shook her head, beginning to unpack her things. Her spider friend stared at her actions from her shoulder peculiarly.

((Scene Change?))

Crowe stepped out of the darke ally way. Hints of darke magic swirled around his neck, and body. Darke magic swirled all around him. Crowe stared down at the dragon tattoo on his arm. It was like the rest of his clothes and hair; black. Crowe wasn't easy to spot, so he stepped out of the swirling darke misty magic. He trudged along towards the city. He stopped until he was in plain sight for all to see. The people who walked by eyed him suspiciously. Crowe stuck out like a sore thumb. He was for all to see.

Anyways, today was the day the great Howl would meet Crowe. The one who was so dangerous, as in to who Howl would be meeting. Poor Howl, having to deal with a quiet one who doesn't really speak. Well, at least Howl will teach Crowe self control over magic. All magic, can be dangerous, especially darke magic, and especially when it's out of control.

Crowe looked up at the clock tower to the town. Crowe counted the minutes, seconds. And every second, Crowe began to worry. Worry that he would hurt someone. Worried that he would be feared for the rest of his life due to his magic. Crowe's head began swirling with thoughts of worry. Howl, was there to teach Crowe how to grasp his magic though.

______________________________ xxx It didn't take very long for her things to be unpacked from the bag, stuff put away neatly. Now all that was left to do was sit in her room quietly, reading her tomes and waiting for Howl. Well, she did.

Nothing happened. There was nary a sound in the building, nothing to draw her attention. After quite some time, Piper found herself fed up. She huffed out of the room, down the the den where Sophie had started knitting a new piece, the sweater finished. It only proved how long it'd been since Piper arrived. "Miss Sophie?" She called out softly, the woman looking over at the witch. "Pardon my intrusion, but it's been quite some time since Master Howl set out. I think I would like to go find him; I've nothing better to do." She crossed her arms underneath her breasts. Sophie smiled.

"Take the red door. He should be just at the central tower. And do be careful, now!" Piper nodded and did as she was instructed, turning the door handle to red and opening it. She was pushed out again with a large gust of air, and found herself in the bustling city. From afar, Piper eyed the clock tower and walked over to a garden, picking up a stray branch fallen from a tree. She ran her hand along the leaves and they sprouted into vines, encompassing the branch in green vegetation, making it appear quite larger than it was. She then stuck her hand up in the air and snapped, a passing bird's feather being plucked from it's wing to land in her fingers. She tapped the feather to the branch and it began to levitate. Piper smiled and sat in the middle of the foliage, looking quite at home, almost as if she was on a swing-set with nothing holding her up. She set off on searching for her tutor.

Around and around she looked, putting her hand up to her forehead in an attempt to narrow her vision for a speck of colored coat and bright blonde hair. Alas, she saw nothing. "Oh, master Howl!" Piper moaned, landing on the roof of a tall building overlooking the clocktower. Unfortunately, due to the shadows cast by it, she couldn't see the two figures below her.

                                            ____________________________________________________

Behind the boy cloaked in Darke Magic, Howl tapped on his shoulder comically and laughed at his expression when approached. The famous magician put his hands in his pockets and seemed to be walking mid-air. "Hello there, Crowe! Been waiting long? I do believe it's time for us to head back. I've a surprise in store." Howl's eyes found their way over to a familiar figure. His smile widened.

Crowe smiled in his eyes and nodded. It made him look faithful above all things. Well, should he have lied or told the truth? Truth seemed more accurate than as into telling a lie. Maybe, the truth would've been better in a case of this, but even if so, how, to tell of the truth?
"Ah...yes Howl, your a tad late as always. But yes, I got here an hour early as I suspected I would. And, if this surprise is redying my hair to pink again...count me out." Crowe replied calmly. He shook his head a tad to flick his bangs away. Crowe replied trying to attempt humour. Crowe, was not great at humor shall we say, and he may as well never have been. Oops I suppose? Crowe than looked up at the figure above them. Crowe could sense the soul presence of the girl. The black mist grew thicker around him and Howl. Crowe then looked at Howl regaining a serious impression in his face and eyes.
"Howl, there's a girl spying. Shall I rid of her?" He asked Howl roughly. Crowe was becoming more aware of the figure. She wouldn't cause harm, right?

______________________________ xxx Piper combed through her wavy hair absentmindedly, leaning on the side of a column. She looked off into the distance. This was ridiculous. Was it supposed to be some sort of game? Keep her holed up in the house until she felt like leaving, only to have her chase her master around endlessly? What was she to learn, then? Speed? Perhaps, not even! The city was difficult to maneuver with a "broom". There were twists and turns, foul coming in from the east and west. You were bound to hit something eventually. It just wasn't safe.

Howl smiled pleasantly at Crowe and pat him on the head like a child. "Ah, but Crowe. Don't you know that arriving late is a way of saying that your own time is more valuable than the person waiting for you? I've got priorities, y'know," He turned on a heel and ran a hand through his long hair, all the while casting a discreet spell in Piper's direction. The wisp of magic headed towards a flock of birds. Suddenly, their new target was Piper.

"Don't be silly, Crowe. Why waste any energy? She can come to us!" He grinned. Piper was calmly thinking to herself when a bird soared past her, making her lose her balance and fall. She tumbled down with a small 'oomph,' sliding down the roof. Looking up in surprise, she saw another group heading towards her with dangerous speed. In a blink of an eye, she was atop her "broomstick" and dodging them. What was the meaning of this? The mage wondered incredulously, managing to catch one of them in her arms amidst the dodging to see it's eyes had turned a light blue. They'd been hexed? Why would someone hex birds to come after her? Plucking the feather from her floating device that had been used in order for it to levitate in the first place, she used it as a purifying wand of the clean bird to wipe away the curse.

In an instant, the birds were fine. She cradled one in her arms and ran the feather across her lips, casting a spell. "Who sent you?" The young robin jumped up from her grip and circled around a few times before it was sure she was following. Sure enough, she was lead to Howl and his apprentice. Seeing her master grinning stupidly and waving at her, she immediately knew the source of the spell. Her face turned red with anger.

"Master Howl!" She chided, landing, the contraption reverting back to a small vine. She tucked it behind her ear. Howl applauded. "Very impressive, Piper! Most people would've killed the birds rather than go through ridding them of the hex. It was only three or four, why didn't you?" Her red, angry face was a nice contrast to her light hair and glowing orange eyes. "An animal's life is precious, no matter how small. I would never throw such away. Not when a solution is so obviously there. You would risk harming your apprentice and the life of some creatures to test out my abilities? How cruel. "

"Ah, but I knew you wouldn't kill them! You're much too thoughtful. Such perfect aptitude for nature magic, wouldn't you agree, Crowe?" Howl turned to the man behind him. In her anger, she had not noticed him. "And who is this? Your lackey?" He laughed. "No! This is my apprentice, Crowe. You two should become quite friendly, considering the both of you will now be living underneath the same roof."

She stared, silently. No longer red, no longer angry. Just surprised. "How...will you have time, Master Howl?" The childish man stuck his tongue out. "I'll find a way!" He chortled. Piper raised an irritated hand to her her forehead, cheeks flushed in annoyance. Approaching her new "friend," she truly smiled pleasantly and curtsied, holding out a hand to shake. "It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Crowe. My name is Piper."

Howl clapped in excitement. "Yes! That's what I like to see! It gives me hope that you two won't attempt to maim one another! How wonderful!" Piper ignored his outburst, trying her hardest not to get angry at this fool anymore.

Crowe narrowed his eyes keenly to what Howl had said. Crowe, was not all that patient, and god bless whoever who knows that Crowe doesn't like most people. With Crowe, unfortunately, he takes the "mostly abandoned society" to a new level of madness. Crowe was tempted to whisk Howl's hand away, but instead delivered a message to Howl through the eyes, that Crowe wasn't a kid anymore, and he was much different now that he had a tad more control.
Crowe listened to every twist and turn of Howl's conversation with Piper. Crowe seemed cool and collected, but on the inside he wasn't sure about her. And, Piper's magic seemed more...different. Less heavy, and easier to carry with you while not having the chance of a bitter fate. He liked this part about Piper, and noted such about her.
When Howl asked Crowe the question, Crowe's heart lifted lightly. So she liked animals too? You may consider it strange, but despite his deathly appearance, he was a creampuff sometimes deep inside. Crowe may be cruel, but his heart overrules him, and his consciousness keeps him in check. Crowe nodded at Howl allowing a ghost of a smile appear on his highly-pokerface. He nodded to Howl as in to agree.
"Nature can be a cruel, yet beautiful thing...so as long as you don't force anything upon Mother Nature, then it varries on how she feels about us all." Crowe replied stating his somewhat strange and quirky opinion bold(ish?)ly. Crowe then glanced at Piper, pretending not to care for a split few seconds, until of course the truth came out. Crowe nearly choked on air. Just the way itself that Howl suggested, made it shocking. Well, there was the surprise.
"And it is a pleasure to meet you Ms.Piper. I may have not a clue as to how thy great Howl will fare with us both, but hopefully, in the end we won't drive one another insane." Crowe replied as he took Piper's handshake. Crowe peered at Howl through his bangs with the corners of his eyes. Well, Crowe shouldn't fully unpack when he get's there! ((So what he thinks...))

______________________________ xxx A quick look into Crowe's eyes told Howl all that he needed to know. So maybe playing jokester with the boy wasn't such a good idea. It was also apparent the guy didn't appreciate body contact very much, either. The great wizard made a note to himself about this. He didn't want to get on his new apprentice's bad side.

Meanwhile, Piper wasn't too sure how she wanted to feel about Crowe. His wise words about mother nature managed to warm her heart. She cared very much for living creatures. They were innocent and incapable of harm unless taught that way, or unless they wanted to protect themselves. Animals lived to be happy and survive.

They weren't concerned with luxuries that humans indulged in day to day. It didn't interest them. Such beings lived simple, quaint lives. It's what Piper wanted more than anything else. Anyone who could appreciate that as well was someone she was sure to get along with.

They shook each other's hand and Piper finally turned to Howl. "Master Howl, I do believe it would be best to head back. Miss Sophie has been diligently preparing lunch." Howl's eyes brightened. "My lovely Sophie cooking lunch just for us? She's honestly so perfect...What a gal!" Howl turned on a hell and jumped off of the building, continuously seeming to step in mid-air towards the Pendragon estate.

Piper watched him and sighed, placing a hand on her hips. "What a child," She mumbled, scrunching her nose. The young witch summoned her transportation device and boarded it, casting a look towards Crowe curiously. How did he manage to get up here, anyway? It didn't look as if he had wings or anything.

She was curious as to his abilities. If this man was Howl's apprentice as well, she assumed he had to be powerful for the crazy magician to even consider training him. Even so, her motherly instincts that had grown ever since her mom died flourished. "Will you be alright getting back?" Piper gestured behind her, pointing out the surplus room on the back of the stick. "There's more than enough room if you'd like a lift." A kind smile was offered.

Crowe was reluctant to Piper's offer; he had other plans. But Crowe didn't want to seem rude to her. But still, curiousity edged around his mind, and his expression seemed emotionless. He attempted a smile, but he couldn't do it. He was too used to grim atmospheres, and even if Piper put him in a good mood, not many would be able to tell. His grip enclosed tightly around his suitcase handle, and some of his muscles tightened. He looked into Piper's eyes.

"I am alright, but thank you for the offer." He replied calmly. At least, his grimness wasn't horribly...bad. Maybe he was in a good mood. It was hard to tell, but even for him. He supposed she would be fun to mess with. He hummed a very faint tune, and a black little pixie appeared. Crowe whispered quietly to it. The pixie squealed back excitedly. Then the pixie's darke magic swirled around him, making him look like a black phoenix. Except, he was a darke dragon.

______________________________ xxx Piper nodded at his rejection of her offer, boarding her transportation device and finding her equilibrium. She tucked a strand of her platinum blond hair behind a dainty ear, taking off for her new home. It was almost stressful knowing that Crowe was behind her. So much so that she was tempted to speed up and go faster than him. The thought was quite juvenile, especially because she was essentially wanting to race him back. Smiling shyly, she bit her lip and shook her head. Growing up, her family would have little races all the time. Sometimes she would be on her father's side and sometimes on her mother's. They were fond memories she never wanted to forget and this small instance was reminding her of that.

Nevertheless, Piper kept a steady pace to the Pendragon estate, Howl being far ahead of them. When she arrived at the door, the witch made her way inside and kept the door open for Crowe. Her image of greeting was Howl hugging Sophie from behind as the wife tended to the flames cooking the food. "Welcome back, Piper." Sophie greeted with a giggle as Howl kissed her cheek. "Glad you two made it back unscathed!" Piper glared at Howl and he stuck his tongue out. His wife bat her hand against his shoulder. "Stop teasing them," The woman scolded, making Howl grin.

"Let me show you to your room, Crowe!" The great wizard detached himself from Sophie and lead Crowe up the stairs, leaving the two women downstairs. "Well? How did you like him?" "How can you stand Master Howl, Sophie?" A soft laugh echoed throughout the kitchen area. "He's an incredibly silly man, but you grow to love him. Everything he does might seem very selfish at first, but you learn to find out he's incredibly kind and compassionate. It just takes some time." Piper huffed and sat, looking at the door petulantly. "I'll never get any training done at this rate," Sophie glanced over at Piper with gentle eyes, taking in her lovely features and figure.

"How did you like the new apprentice? A pleasant surprise, hm?" She uncrossed her hands and crossed her legs, hands folded in her lap. "I'm worried. We seem to be of conflicting magic types. I'm not sure Master Howl is fully prepared to train us." Piper said, looking worried. Sophie began serving the food and setting up the table. When she passed Piper, a soft pat on the head was given. "Have faith in Howl. He picked you two specifically for a reason, you know. There were several other candidates, but it was only you and Crowe that he chose. He knows what he's doing. Just keep your chin up." The wedded woman winked and called the two men down, announcing dinner was ready. It looked like quite a big feast, with a variety of foods and drinks available to everyone. As soon as Howl saw the selection, he hugged and ogled his wife for giving everyone so much hospitality. The two giggled together and Piper could only smile.

When everyone joined at the table, Piper looked at the selection nervously, trying her best to not be rude. The couple caught this. "Is something the matter, Piper?" Howl asked, grabbing a chicken leg. Piper flushed darkly and looked down at her lap. "I'm so terribly sorry. I don't mean to be any sort of bother, it's simply that I don't eat animal products." Sophie blinked in surprise and looked at Howl angrily. "You couldn't of told me this beforehand?" Howl imitated her shocked expression, scratching his cheek. "Oh yeah, I forgot your mom and dad were the same way..."

"It's okay, really! I don't mean for it to be such a fuss..." Sophie shook her head and smiled. "No, darling! It's fine! The vegetable spread, soup, salad, bread, rice and beans should be fine." Piper smiled shyly and nodded, letting Sophie serve her some before turning her attention to Crowe. "What about you, darling? See anything you like?"

A bite of the bread was taken by Howl and Piper. They both smiled and let out noises of pleasure. "Your bread is lovely, Sophie." She put a bit of fruit preserve on top. The cook beamed happily at the praise, giving Crowe her attention again.

Crowe figured that by being polite in a sense, was to let Piper lead the way. After all, Crowe didn't have the slightest as into a clue, of where their destination remained. He grabbed the suit case by his beak, and followed Piper. Truthfully, he was watching Piper and testing her in a sense. He made it along to the Pendragon estate, but he had to turn back to his proper form, due to people's unnecessary gawking. He quickly scuttled along.

When they got there he nodded a greeting to Howl and Sophie. His eyes were a little more enlightened, suggesting, that he agreed silently, to Howl that everything so far, should seem okay. Crowe silently, and breathlessly chuckled in his head. These were some interesting people. Especially, seeing how he was much different as supposed to...well, all of them. He supposed, that however he would fair living with them, may as well be enjoyable.

Crowe nodded to Howl, and followed, still clutching his suitcase tightly. He looked up at the ((empty?)) room. He was going to live here. He somehow, planned to. He would just paint his room later, to a black, or a darke blue. His amber eyes lit up, but ever so slightly.

He came down reluctantly. He looked a little surprised at Sophie. No one has ever, done something like this before, that he has witnessed. He sat down with them his eyes turning into a goldish colour. He then, shockingly, lightened up and smiled a bit.
"I'm alright with any of this. Thank you~. I don't believe I know you're name?" He replied calmly. Well, the strangely heavy atmosphere was still there lurking around Crowe, but he seemed to be a bit better. He was extremely grateful. Where he came from on the streets, you ate what you had. And none of it, was probably even good. Half of it, made everyone sick. But here...was much different for Crowe. This place, he was in...may change his life a little bit. And to Crowe, every little amount of help, would help him.

______________________________ xxx Sophie gawked at how polite Crowe was. "Oh, dear, it's not a problem! Please, call me Sophie!" She gushed, serving him a bit of everything while still looking extremely pleased. Howl watched Crowe from the corner of his eye, interested in how things were playing out.

As they ate in relative silence, Howl finally spoke up. "I'm fairly excited to let you both know that I have something special in store after supper. A little training exercise that is sure to test both of your abilities." Piper stopped eating for a moment and looked at Howl skeptically. "Last time you had such a mischievous look on your face, you sent vexed birds after me Master Howl." Sophie looked surprised to know this information, and turned to her husband looking a bit irritated. Howl just chuckled and shrugged.

"Now, now. That's over and done with! It was just a silly little test. From now on, things are going to get much more interesting. I'm sure both you and Crowe will enjoy it very much."

Sophie rolled her eyes at her lover's playfulness, returning to her food. Piper did so as well, feeling nervous. Would she be able to properly work with Crowe? Could their magic even get along? She nibbled on her food while thinking deeply about their partnership. When everyone finished their food, Sophie began to clean up. Piper attempted to join, only to have the woman push her away. "No, dear, you have training to do. I can take care of this myself. And that goes for you, too, Crowe."

She pointed a dirty ladle to the man. Piper put a hand on her hip in defiance. "Sophie, I can't let you clean all of this up. Not when you worked so hard to cook it in the first place." Howl handed Sophie his dirty dishes and clapped, brooms and buckets coming to life. "Now, now. Let's not waste time chatting! You both have a lot of work to do!"

Howl motioned for the two apprentices to follow him. He turned the door handle to black, opening it up to reveal their 10 story home home marching through luscious green fields in the countryside. Howl jumped out without a care in the world, laughing as he soared through the wind and would've fallen to his death. Piper yelped in surprise, sticking her head out of the door to make sure he was alright, only to see him gliding on air happily.

She watched him and frowned. Suddenly, the moving house shook violently in its framework, causing the young witch to loose her balance. She tumbled out of the doorway, falling helplessly. Reaching for her ear so she could summon her flying device, she panicked realizing it was gone. Hastily, her head rotated from side to side looking for anything that could cover her fall. Howl watched happily from the distance, eyes gleaming.

He clutched Piper's little broomstick in his hands, wondering how these things would turn out.

He wanted to laugh at the way Sophie acted. His eyes shot a reply at Howl, apologizing, and reminded him, that he had greeted Howl in the same way when they first met, and it ended up with a similar mood. His eyes shot another message, that he'd make this interaction up later.

Crowe laughed under his breath. He then held up a his pointer finger under the table, and also reminded Howl, that last time, Crowe could've snapped at him. Crowe's amber eyes turned back to amber, and his serious mood turned back. He then whispered silently to Piper. "And now, at least we know to prepare for the craziest sessions Howl could throw at us..."

Crowe felt a little bad, so he silently called the little darke pixie from earlier. He whispered something to it. It nodded enthusiastically, and made it look like the pixie, had come from nowhere, and made it seem it wanted to be helpful. He silently applauded himself, and smiled a mysterious smile. Oh, what a silent act that would help out. He felt proud of himself. The pixie glowed with a black light, and it chimed cheerfully to Sophie in greeting.

He followed Howl and Piper humming a eerie tune. He smirked at the door. He went inside with Piper. He wasn't too shocked at the turn of events that Howl pulled off. That, was Howl alright. Seeing Piper beginning to fall worried him. He wasn't so worried about himself, because he knew either way, he would suffer a minor injury. But...Piper? He didn't know.
"Alexsmith!" He called quietly.
"Mo chara Alexsmith, le do thoil, ag an am seo, treoir a thabhairt dom trí bhás, agus lig dom cabhrú Piper ..." He whispered quickly. The pixie's darke light shimmered brightly. Crowe was in darkeness....heck! He was darkeness. He, was a pitch black shadow. And we all know how shadows work. Wings spread out of his back, still in shadow form. He dived down, grabbed Piper by the wrist, and now, they were airborne, and Crowe was flying. He looked down at Piper. He wanted to ask Piper, if she was alright, but shadows couldn't talk.

______________________________ xxx As Piper kept falling, she could only think about the words Crowe whispered to her before they began to follow Howl out of the house. They came back to her like a shock wave and turned her mood dark. This was his doing. Putting her in danger again.

She seethed and looked back up, gasping when a black cloaked winged figure grabbed her wrist. The instant the contact was made, her earth magic rejected the touch of the darke shadowy and inky aura, shocking her wrist and his hand for him to let go.

When his grasp was released and she began to fall again, Piper sucked in a giant breathe and clenched her eyes shut and shouted "Crescere!" The flowers and vegetation of the field sprouted up at inhuman speed to catch her in a bed of lavender and posies.

She sat up, heart beating out of her chest only to look up and see the inky figure once more, only with another person floating up above him. Howl looked down at the two of them curiosly, standing atop her floating device. A surge of anger erupted within her and she shouted "Cadent!" The vines and stick Howl stood atop lost their levitating power.

Howl gasped and began to fall. Just as he regained his balance to stand atop air, the vines surrounding the branch wrapped around his legs and dragged him down, too. He fell until he was face to face upside down with Piper, whose face was red and seething with anger.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" She spat, voice dripping with venom as the vines tightened around him. Howl blinked in surprise and only laughed awkwardly. "Oops," He said, struggling to breathe.

Why? Why did he drop her? He quickly managed to crash to the ground. The flowers were beginning to make Crowe agitated, and not only that, but Piper's anger escalated his anger too. The shadow blared red and looked like fire. The red shadow stood next to Howl and Piper giving the room a new temperature. The flowers beneath them shriveled a little. Crowe was really mad. Really mad. Not at Howl, nor at Piper. It was something like, he was mad that Piper was in danger. The birds, were different. This, was another level.

Crowe shook his shadowy red figure, and forced himself to walk away. He half crumpled to the ground in slight pain as he turned normal again. What was he thinking? Crowe shook his head, and let his body collapse to the floor, his breath was ragging, and what anyone could see his skin was red. He closed his eyes trying to fight his anger. He ended up punching the floor roughly. He stood back up, and walked back over. With all of this, he turned emotionally normal.
"For the love of lord Howl..." He began his voice sounding annoyed.
"Never," He began forcing himself to calm down more, and pushing down the wanting to slap him.
"Do that again..." Crowe whispered the last part.

((It's amazing how we have great people in our lives! Piper's personality reminds me of a real person and has from the beginning! And yes, Howl's a mad man, but that's a reason why Sophie loves him :3))
