The day was rather bright for how chilly it was, the sun shone brighter than anyone had probably seen in a long time. It was certainly something. Stretching and coming out of his cave, Kitsunebi shook himself off a bit. It was nice to get a good stretch out of his legs after sleeping for so long. His last prey had given him a good workout and he had needed the rest. It was rather unusual for something that was so much smaller than him to get the better of him. But the hide he had gained for his bed was certainly something to behold. The color and softness of that pelt had given him a wonderful sleep! Now it was time to find something new to play with.

Kitsunebi trotted out of the mouth of his cave in his smaller fox form. Though he was a bit larger than an average fox, he had never been called out on what he really was. The perfumes that he and his sister made certainly helped to cover their more than distinctive smell. Personally he preferred a bit more of a floral scent, whereas his sister preferred something more musk driven. But she was just going for covering his scent where he was going for being pleasing. It was important to him that he be something another wanted to be around.

With these thoughts fresh in his mind, he wandered out of his cave, trotting through a bit of the underbrush that surrounded his home. It was such a nice place to live really. And plenty of other creatures come and go by this part of the woods as well. It really was such a nice place to live. Kitsunebi breathed in the fresh cool air, deciding that that was enough dawdling around and thinking about things that didn't matter to him at the moment. He needed to be in his best state of mind if he wanted to find the perfect new plaything. And this one would probably be kept around for a while. After all, it was much more fun to keep the pretty things around.

Kitsunebi suddenly stopped in his tracks, taking a good long sniff into the air. There was something that was close by, but he couldn't tell what yet. Though, truth be told, it could have simply been his sister. Shaking his head, he figured he would know his sister's scent if she had been that close to him. He knew the smell of her perfumes by heart, keeping track of her smells was just as important as finding new prey. Avoiding her was imperative in order to keep his own prey safe and sound. She was too... bitey for his own taste really. The only reason they each kept the other around was because of the strange connection they had with each other. They had been told long ago that if one were to go, the other would go too. This was something they kept in the back of their mind forever.

Just as this thought left his head, his nose picked up on the scent once again. It was definitely not his sister.

I don't know if you like to be quoted, but it's the best way for me to keep track, LOL!

Jovi yawned as she stood up and stretched a bit. Because of the cold, the mare had chosen to bask in the sun rather than sleep under the shade of the trees. It wasn't a particularly smart spot to be, but it felt.. good. Normally, she would be safe in a large tree somewhere, but her wandering and the chill brought her to her patch of grass.

The young mare had no single place she called home. There were places she frequented, mostly because of her love of the location, whether it be the perfect patch of sun or the precise chill of the wind. Jovi never stayed in those places for extended periods, as she didn't want someone to find her there and share it.

With her paws, she clawed at her patch of grass a little bit. The changing seasons would ruin this spot in time, so she had to get the most out of it. Jovi took in a deep breath of air and sensed a floral sense wandering close. "Hm... Hopefully just a passing flower in the wind..."

Instead of fleeing, the mare chose to lie down again and stay still, hoping whomever it was would just pass her by. The spot would not be the same in the next few hours, so she couldn't just leave it. She slowed her breath and closed her eyes, making the most out of her spot. Jovi had no intention to 'befriend' anything today.

Slowly and quietly Kitsunebi made his way closer to the scent. It was a rather simple smell, most were. But it was a nice smell none the less. Certainly something he would enjoy having around for a bit, or at least getting a bit closer to it if nothing else. He wondered to himself a bit how far the scent had traveled to reach him. Or why it was that they were out this far really. The smell didn't seem to be coming closer or going further away besides when he himself moved, so that was a good thing for him. It meant that they probably wouldn't run right off. This always made his task of luring them where he wanted them easier.

As he came over a small hill in the trees, he saw something in the sun. Sniffing the air a bit, Kitsunebi decided that what was laying in the sun was the source of the nice smell. From where he was he could see some light pink and cream colors in their fur. Perhaps some feathers, though he couldn't tell if they were wings or not, and a twitching tail. Smiling to himself, he disappeared back down the small hill and changed out of his fox form. He didn't want the other to end up seeing him as a fox one moment and in his larger form the next. This would be a dead giveaway that he was a Walker. And he didn't need that coming out yet.

Once again he slowly came over the small hill, heading toward the sun and the other with the intriguing fur colors. Kitsunebi hoped it would be worth the trip, smiling as he made no sound.
