Aboard the Lightcleaver the air was fresh, the sun was shining and there wasn't a student in site. Alexis emerged from the doorway to the main deck stretching her arms, "Aaaah" she let a smile grow on her face, then turning on her heel and looking back at Laxion, Claudia, and Nyru. "It's so good to be back on this old thing." Laxion took only a breath, as an air elemental he loved it above the clouds - the air may have been thinner but it smelled... so much better. Shrinking his chest from the deep breath he looked well at home, "this reminds me of when I first met you" he said with a grin. Nyru, who stood beside him with Claudia gave her a weird look, Laxion almost chuckled, "Did i never tell you? We were on our way to the Isle of Elixer, everything's going fine and then just when we get over the coastline this thing just comes exploding over the side surrounded in arcane magic." "It's true" Alexis said, looking at her nails as if it wasn't a big deal, "I was running late, couldn't miss the quest, so i put myself in an arcane cannon and the rest is simple" she finished with a grin. "That's crazy" Nyru said, letting the air brush through his unkept black hair, usually Laxion's hand would be running through it - keeping it neat. "So" Alexis said to Claudia and Nyru, "you two ready for Otherearth? Seen the monsters? I've got holograms - they look brutal."

Claudia Vesslia Alexis emerged from Lightcleaver acting like it was just another visit to an old friend's house. Laxion was the same and breathed in the fresh air like he couldn't get enough of it. For Claudia however, this trip was going to be nauseating. She didn't do well with flying voyages and looking at the zeppelin made her stomach turn. To easy her mind, Laxion reminisced on the first day he met the wizard. Nyru gave her a funny look and she returned the favor by shrugging and smiling. Laxion decided to give them a trip down memory lane, although the stunts in this story sounded a bit far fetched. Regardless, Alexis was proud of her recklessness causing Nyru to be impressed by their adventures. She on the other hand would need a lot more convincing. When her and Nryu first met it was pretty standard and eventually they grew to be best friends through teamwork. As usual, Alexis strayed away from the story and tried to intimidate them by showing them holograms of the monsters that roam Otherearth. "The monster's are nothing compared to this parlous journey." her face practically turned green just thinking about the flight. She groaned in exasperation hoping to get over her sickness before they even begin the trip.

Alexis was obviously quite excited, Claudia on the other hand was having an entirely different experience of the journey. Nyru said "It's only until tomorrow morning" half teasing, "Besides" Alexis then added, "once you're below deck you don't even notice we're flying. The Lightcleaver is amazing like that".
"Has anyone seen Lucas?" Laxion then asked, turning to each of them. When they all boarded Lucas wasn't with them, but he was in charge of this entire mission. When it came to Nyru's turn to reply he could only shake his head, Alexis was unsure too, "I was thinking it's strange to go without him, I can't see him getting in a cannon and firing himself up like i did - well" she almost choked on hwo that sounded, "at least my cannon was arcane magic, barely lethal." She shook off the thought as if it couldn't possibly hurt, Laxion on the other hand was raising an eyebrow at her as if to question it.
Though, not a moment too late there was a pure white light coming up and over the Zeppelin, it was a stream of pure white aura, that associated with the most skilled people in the Injustira Syndicate. After arching over the balloon of the ship it came down softly to land on the deck opposite them all, once the cloudy smoke dissipated, Lucas was standing there with a friendly smile on his face. With a tilt of his head some of his hair cascading over his shoulder. "Nice to see all of you" he began, "sorry I wasn't here sooner. There were some last minute things I had to clear with the Guildeam."

Claudia Vesslia Persuading Claudia made her more anxious, but oddly enough she believed them and tried to toughen up before entering the vessel. Lucas was suppose to be joining them for the trip, but to everyone's surprise he was late. Laxion was getting worried while Alexis fabricated a way for him to arrive. Apparently, the arcane cannon she used is not lethal. Rolling her eyes, she knew Lucas wouldn't do something so reckless nor was it his style. Alexis could come up with ridiculous theories all day if she wanted to pass the time quickly. Luckily, the wizard wasn't disillusion seeing a bright shooting light sore up and over the balloon's side.
Not to far from them, Lucas, the pure-hearted mentor descended and greeted them with a friendly smile. He apologized for his late arrival and telling them a pretty good reason why. Claudia wanted to greet him humbly, but after the day Ruby died it was hard to face him. She must have written a thousand letters and each one of them ended up crumbled up in the trash. Instead, she nodded at him silently staying glued to Nyru's side.

"Hi!" Alexis said, waving at him as he stepped towards them. She was first to greet him, though most informally with a tight embrace which he was surprised to accept at first, standing straight all tensed up before loosening and putting his arms around her too. "It's bee too long" she said over his shoulder, as they parted Lucas softly replied "there has been a great many things to deal with." He smiled shortly, then looking down at Claudia, their eyes crossed paths and he was stricken with a quick wave of sorrow. She is still mourning he thought to himself, perking up, he smiled softly at her, "I'm happy you came" he said to her and then to Nyru he nodded and Laxion last.
"I hope you all enjoy Evermoon City" Lucas began, "It's one the western coast of Otherearth, city of the Star Elves. It thrives with arcane magic, they managed to replicate a replacement for the Starwell in Entei." "Hey" Laxion began, "could you explain the Aether?" The Aether were a puzzle to many of them, and Laxion had been perplexed all morning. Lucas nodded, then gestured to them all to follow into the drawing room.
Inside there was a large table for them all to sit at, as if they were all world leaders. The room was decorated, it was modern if not for some of the authenticity of any Zeppelin. Once they all sat, Lucas began. "The Aether. They're a race just like us but their origin is slightly less... complicated. To them, this world is everything. Non-Magic Earth is not something they're accustomed to the thought of. They began with Magic Earth. Have you ever heard of the legend of the Occulanium? A mystical object said to have created our world, used by the Eternal, from which you should know all our races descend. When the artefact was used to create our world the Aether were created with it, is is their ruins that dot Occulas. Their leaders, called Archons, are the thread that keep them in this world because they are unlike us in matter. They're made of an essence, a different kind of life to ours, and if their leader dies... their power source dies and they will too. There is only 3 Archons left and they're all in Otherearth." "What happened to the others?" Nyru asked. Lucas shook his head, "We'll find out hopefully. There's a large amount of history missing from the archives because it all happened before the Great Voyage, before that there were few Magic Folk actually living in Magic Earth. The Vardant, the monsters we will encounter tomorrow, once lived amongst us too.

Claudia Vesslia Alexis is more eccentric than she seeing how she childishly hugged her mentor despite his important disposition. Though judging by his reaction, he still responded the same and returned to embrace before deterring his attention to her. Her eyes glanced up at him nervously, but his loving smile brushed away all her fears of resentment and maybe now she would get the chance to talk to him. The private conversation would have to wait till later for now Lucas informed them of their trip away. Alexis should be especially interested in their use of replicating a well in Entei centered around arcane magic. Perhaps the wizard could learn something new, and speaking of new, Laxion pried on the explication of the Aethers. Lucas decided it was best that they all gather in a comfortable room to sit down and discuss this matter properly.
The room matched the decor of the interior to the rest of the zeppelin and the table and chairs added a sense of leadership when she sat down. Lucas spared no time and told them that the Aether race mirrors them, but no quiet. Like her, Non-magic earth still sounds like a concept rather than a reality so she could relate to their thoughts of it. Much to her surprise, he brought up the Occulanium which sounds more like a myth or fairy tale now. As stated, all races were born from this mystical object used by the Eternal and the Aether are no exception. However, their leaders the Archons, have decreased down to three causing their delicate society to dangle on a string. Laxion asked the question they were all wondering back and Lucas provided a simple answer which turns out to be the source of their mission. A good chunk of their history is missing leaving her to wonder how they were going to approach this situation. The instructor also mentioned the type of monsters they will encounter and said that they once roamed these parts as well. "Were the Vardants considered monsters back then too?" any insignificant information counts at this point.

((im so sory about such a slow reply im getting awful at this xD))
Claudia raised another good question, causing the others to watch Lucas with anticipation. "Considerably" he denounced, nodding assertively. He put his hands together firmly as he went on to say "The Aether that came to the High Court told us that the Vardent have been a force of fear since the dawn of their creation." "Wow.." Alexis let out, realising what they'll be fighting in Otherearth. And not only that, what they would be teaching the students. "Onto somewhat lighter subjects" said Lucas, looking between them, " Adi has already proven to be of great help with the Occult..." But that was all he was going to say of the matter - he did not want to worry them. He couldn't begin to think about how he would explain the Occult's system and what has happened to their base in London - little would any of them know what London is. "... here is your new scroll, in fact." Lucas pulled out a large scroll, just like the one they had given to Adi, and placed it on the table, "Only one though. Even I cannot get you one each, my Syndicate would be most displeased."

Claudia Vesslia Claudia leaned in curiously as Lucas told her that ever since they were created they've been a threat beyond comprehension. It was hard to believe that their are monsters out there stronger than Lucifial perhaps, but that's another story for a different time. Alexis as well as herself were surprised, but Lucas didn't want to dwell on the subject for to long fearing he may break their spirits. To relieve the tension, he informed them of Adi's successes and placed a scroll on the table for them to communicate with. The blonde smiled in delight even though there was just one scroll that they had to share. Lucas could only vouch for one because of the Syndicate's possible disapproval, but this was enough. "Thank you, Lucas!" Claudia exclaimed happily as she wondered what to write to Adi. She'll probably badger her back her love life and her adventures thus far. Laying back, she glanced out the window for a slit second remembering that they were aloft but she didn't feel nauseous at all. "Should we train? It's been a while since any of us have seen the battle field." The last time they were in a true battle that required all of their might was with Lucifial. They've had small encounters here and there but nothing to extravagant.

"Hm?" Nyru looked over his shoulder at Claudia who was now at the porthole, looking out into the sky- he was surprised she wasn't falling dizzy. "That's a good idea actually" Alexis chimed in, flicking a finger out in thought as she leaned back on the elgs of her chair quite informally, she looked at Laxion "me and you vs your boyfriend and Claudia?" Laxion swung to look at Nyru, who could only reply with a grin. Laxion said "then it's settled" with a smile. Nyru pushed away from his chair and took out his circlet, placing it on his head, "Let's show these two what it means to be Royal Guard, hey Claudia?"

Above deck, they all got together on two opposing sides. Lucas was in the middle of them preparing to begin the sparring match. "We are miles above ground with no walls, on a very expensive flying ship" Lucas looking between them seriously, and then grinned, "I don't expect any of you to hold back - the Lightcleaver will worry about itself." Fantastic, Laxion thought, Alexis leaned into Laxion and whispered "this things repairs itself, i can sense the magical charms all over it, that's if we even get through the magical shield that protects any inch of it from harm in the first place"
Nyru let his circlet unfold into a helmet as he unsheathed his sword, he was breathing calmly in preparation, "we need to be careful of their precision and speed" Nyru warned quietly, "and I happen to know Laxion will attack as fast as possible and get out of range as fast as he can too. There's no point throwing them off the edge, they can jsut get back up. It'll be harder for us however... We shoudl constrict their space"

Claudia Vesslia Alexis didn't object and grouped the teams together for the battle to commence. Laxion agreed with the wizard as Nyru stood up ready to arm his circle. She turned happily to the trio and nodded, "Of course. And I want to see how far your training has taken you two." she chimed. However, where was the battle going to take place? Surely the zeppelin is installed with the latest area system somewhere in the nook of the ship right.
ON THE DECK! Claudia screamed out in her mind as she swayed from the breeze threatening to shove her off. She face turned a sickly green, but she shook it off and ignored her surroundings to concentrate on the match. Lucas prepared their positions and stated their limitation, which there were none. The Lightcleaver must have been upgraded to the barrier technology used on the mansion they attended a few weeks ago. She couldn't wait to let loose and her partner seemed eager as well as he drew his sword. Holding out her hands, her bow and arrows materialized out of shadows and solidified. Nyru gave her a great tip on how the two would kick off their strategy and what to do to defeat them. "Understood, and don't you dare hold back." she smirked stringing three arrows. These arrows would land at different points around their opponents and connect together to create a shadowy wall boxing them in.

"Dont worry" Nyru replied as he stared dead ahead, "I won't." Alexis and Laxion weren't even speaking to each other anymore, it unsettled Nyru slightly to see them so in sync already standing beside each other in a stance as if calculating their next attack. Laxion and Alexis took the first attack, Laxion launched himself forwards with a gust of wind behind him, thanks to Alexis a magical plate threw Laxion up into the air as Alexis used an arcane plate to shoot herself forwards after him. "Now Claudia!" Nyru shouted, and without another breath she had released her arrows and they went soaring after Laxion as he plummeted down towards them. But Alexis saw this, she didn't quite know what the arrows would do but they were deffinitely enchanted by the way they moved. She forced herself to come to a stop and with her hand summoned up a nullifying barrier around Laxion, making anything homing around him believe he didn't exist for a few seconds. But she wasn't completely correct in her thinking, the arrows weren't all flying directly for Laxion, they were attempting to make a much larger area around them. But with Alexis' magic Laxion was left out of the equation, putting Alexis inside the large box by herself. She felt herself tense up as the air shifted around her until blackness consumed it. Laxion landed further behind Claudia and Nyru, startled, "Alexis?!" He spun his spear and forced some space between him and the oncoming black knight with a torrent of wind, but Nyru kept coming. "Deal with Alexis!" he shouted. Nyru held out his sword and let the shadows charge onto the blade as he headed for his first attack. He saw laxion grin and command his spear to shoot up above him and hook onto the metal framework above them, the chain went tight and before Nyru could get to him Laxion was being pulled up and out of the way.
Alexis couldn't see anything, she thought the space she was in was quite large but as soon as the light was gone she had no way of telling if she was constricted or not. And she coudn't counter this, she didn't specialise in shadow magic at all. So instead she did something else. Pulling out her staff and holding it vertically in front of her she began charging a spell, the blue crystal hovering inside the small prison within the staff began to crackle with energy. The blue aura was like dust, like blue ink in water. It spread out around her to form a small dome, and as long as she kept channeling it would persist - but she couldn't do anything else at the same time. The dome was a time-sphere. Anything inside it moved at half the speed of real-time, so if anything happens, when it happens, she would have time to react.
It was all she could do.

Claudia Vesslia Nyru had never broken a promise to her yet so why would he falter now, especially over a training session. She set her sights on the dynamic duo as they took the initiative to attack by playing off each others abilities. Basically, Alexis was the fuel by giving Laxion the boost he needs to become the fire as he flew towards them at full force. Alexis launched herself forward shortly behind him not giving them any time to counteract it. Still, Claudia waited patiently for her signal and when Nyru gave the order her arrows each one gliding in multiple directions. At first, the glowing purple arrows all flew at Laxion as if they were going to pierce him, but immediately made a 90 degree angle upwards before crashing back down in a swirling tornado. Once they hit the ground Laxion will be trapped leaving Alexis to free her partner while fending for herself. Unfortunately, Alexis brilliantly cast a spell over Laxion to make him invisible leaving her to be boxed in. By herself, the area she sealed off wouldn't be as constricting if there were two people. Now that they were separated, Nyru and Claudia can dominate them both winning the match. Her shadow armored partner pursued the elemental behind them while Claudia intensely glared at the young wizard prepared for anything.
Obviously, she couldn't see anything past her own nose judging by her indecisive movements. To protect herself, she summoned forth a blue barrier that looked all to familiar. Claudia loaded another arrow to test out the barriers properties and fired without a single thought. The arrow passed through her own prison at full speed and rapidly slowed down when it's tip made contact with the barrier. Alexis could easily dodge it making her untouchable for the moment. Claudia had no idea how long she could exude her arcade magic before her powers begin to wane.
For now, the blonde and Nyru will team up against Laxion and every few seconds or so, Claudia will fire an arrow at Alexis to distract her. This way, they can defeat Laxion and then easily take down Alexis later. She looked up above her at the metal framework to see Laxion dangling there. Quickly, she fired at arrow at Laxion, not concerned with the accuracy of it, and then fired one more arrow at Alexis. [I'm so sorry. I didn't see this because Gaia decided not to send me a notice! " This is the part of me That you’re never gonna ever take away from me, Throw your sticks and your stones, Throw your bombs and your blows But you’re not gonna break my soul
◊◊◊▐Ω▌◊◊◊
Alexis felt it like a ripple in water - her soul felt the arcane magic around her shift and bend as it let something into it's glow. And there it was! Alexis was able to pin-point the arrow before it got too close and without letting go of her staff swizzled on the spot. As it passed her she was able to look in the black direction of where the arrow came from, guessing it was where Claudia was. Flaring up her magic again blue static fizzled around her and expanded to the walls of her shadow prison, her hair lifted into the air as she let her energy reveal the walls she was kept within - now able to see out as if the walls were made of hued glass.
Nyru looked up, unsure of how to get the better of Laxion now that he was free and above them. But he didn't need to stress much more as Claudia already had his back, firing an arrow towards Laxion - though not very accurately, yet it was enough to put Laxion off-guard. Laxion heard the whiz and c***k of the arrow against metal beside him, he turned to see Claudia turning to fire at Alexis in quick succession. With a grin, Nyru sliced up into the air releasing an arc of dark energy.
Alexis, having seen Claudia turn her back and shoot an arrow at Laxion took her guard down. In a blink she released her time-sphere and prepared to fire an arcane beam at Claudia, but before she could charge the spell another arrow came flying in her direction, grazing her shoulder as she tried ti spin to avoid it, completely breaking her concentration and breaking her charm on the walls - losing all vision once again. "Alexis!" Laxion yelled, but before he could react a slice of dark energy rushed through him, instead of hurting him ti caused all his muscles to ache and loosened his weapon's grip on the metal. Then he fell. Laxion for a few moments was unable to use his body, a few split seconds of uncertainty before he recovered and Nyru prepared by splitting his snake sword and charged it. But in midair Laxion took control of the wind, spinning and spinning until he became a whirling spear of wind hurtling down towards Nyru. Nyru was smart though, he jumped back and in place of him were his blade segments in a circle, as soon as Laxion collided with the floor in an explosion of air Nyru's weapon spiraled in on Laxion followed by trails of purple lightning.
There was a silence. All around the prison that Claudia had summoned around Alexis a hush came over the immediate area around it, and suddenly - an explosion. When the bright blue light and black dust settled the floor of the ship lit white, and this light rippled outwards as if to prove that magical barrier was indeed protecting the ship. Alexis meanwhile seemed to have ascended. Her eyes were bright blue, the crystal shard in her staff glowed bright and magical particles glowed purple and blue around her like stars. When she raised up her staff the particles elongated into spears, and when she threw her staff to her side its tip shifted into a scythe head. She was done with long range combat. She grinned and as her eyes began to dull back to normal she said "Nice trick you had there - you almost outsmarted me". Then the ground beneath her lit up with an arcane glyph, it glowed brighter until suddenly she was shot forwards, bringing up her scythe reading to strike when she got close enough to Claudia - and not only that, there were dozens of arcane spears following behind Alexis - homing in on the ground that Claudia stood on.
Laxion was still kneeling into the floor, hands tightly pressing the spear's tip into the ground as the magical barriers on the ship glowed greatly as if trying to defend itself. But Laxion wouldn't stop - and he wasn't trying to destroying the floor, he was trying to protect himself. The far blood in him raged, his eyes were a little brighter than usual, like looking into a nebula in space. Why? Nyru's face would explain why if it weren't for the helmet. Around Laxion was an orb of compressed air, trying it's best to form a highly dense shield around him whilst Nyru's blade segments vigorously attempted to push deeper and deeper into the air, trying to hit Laxion but it was a stalemate.

Claudia Vesslia Claudia knew that by shooting at Alexis from the same spot was a dead giveaway to her location. She had evaded her assault easily and figured out a way to see the outside. Charging up her own barrier, the arcane magic extended pushing against the shadow prison's walls to thin it out making it transparent. Still, Claudia had to wonder if her arcane magic had boundaries or complications like her shadowmancy. She could only exert herself so far before she runs out of energy. Aside from her inner thoughts, the arrow that she sent up to Laxion did its job by distracting him. It impacted the metal frame sound off a clear ring through the open skies despite the small amount of turbulence. Nyru had the advantage to best his opponent and throw his one of his strongest shadow blast at Laxion.
Meanwhile, with her back turned which was a risky move to being with, the blonde assumed that her focus was strictly on Laxion. Carelessly, she canceled the barrier to try and gain the upper hand but was surprised by her second arrow. Claudia was impressed with herself that she even scrapped the agile women and caused her to lose her sight once again. However, she wouldn't allow her cockiness to get the best of her knowing that underestimating Alexis would backfire. This startled Laxion of course, and since he was paying attention more to his partner than himself he was hit. The dark energy weakened his body until he fell to the desk like a rag doll before resuming control at the last second by sailing on the wind. Nyru prepared himself for Laxion's descent separating his sword into sections for longer range combat. Nyru dodged his attack once Laxion landed and constricted the area around him with his blade channeling purple lightning through them giving the fae no room to escape.
Claudia could hear the fight of the two men behind her while she loaded an arrow training it on Alexis once more. As the silence settled over the battle, an explosion of pure arcane magic dissolved her shadows in a signal blow. The ship's system technology activated and a bright white shined through out the exterior wiping out all shadows leaving her vulnerable. Like a glittering galaxy, Alexis arose like a newly born Goddess threatening to strike down anybody in her path; friend or foe. The sparkling particles around her stretched out into spears, her staff now became a scythe, and her glowing eyes faded to their original state, royal blue. She complimented her on her efforts, but obviously the wizard was to sly for her old tricks. "On the contrary, friend. It was a mere push to see what you're truly made of. Like I told Nyru, don't hold back!" A glyph beneath Alexis appeared to boost her speed towards Claudia with her scythe held high and her spears whizzing closely behind her. Claudia can jump avoid the scythe no problem, but the spears would be a direct hit.
With Laxion pressing his spear to the floor and lighting the ship up like a Christmas tree, her shadows are nullified. As Alexis closed in, Claudia maneuvered past the scythe's swing by jumping over it taking the full damage of the spears that followed in its wake. The impact was enough to send her flying backwards towards the edge of the desk. In a moment of desperation, the arrow Claudia had loaded earlier rapidly increased in size. Her own dark energy was fueling until it was half the size of the desk itself. Dangerously expelling more energy, she split the arrow into two and fire both at the same time aiming for Alexis and Laxion. Claudia was still in midair from the hit she had received and was barely able to catch herself by landing on the railing of the deck. But she had drained herself so much during that last attack that she couldn't hold her balance. Before she knew it, gravity was pushing her backwards off the ship and all she could do was reach out for help. The gift from the Prince of Crow wouldn't work now with all her energy gone all for a chance at victory. Yet, a confident grin formed as she entrusted the battle and her own life to Nyru.
