Chel had invited her over. She had the tweet and everything, yet she was still a bit nervous. It wasn't like she was afraid of her or anything, it was honestly the exact opposite. She thought she was a very kind woman for even offering to help her out. The people of Deus were an interesting bunch and she was having a harder time adjusting to them than to the fact that she had a literal monster in her head. Excuse you I am a wonderful demon. She hesitated on knocking even after she'd let Chel know she was coming. It was just a huge home and without Max by her side she was infinitely more shy when interacting with people. It took time for her to warm up to people, but she didn't have that sort of luxury. chiickadee Pardon the bad rp name. XD

"Kind woman" was not a description normally attributed to meeting Chel. Said woman had scarring along her face that would have given deadpool a run for his money, one too many piercings and a resting snarl that usually gave people the willies.
She opened the door with a crooked smile and rather than a bite, there was just a lot of bark. "Ey, you Diana? Hair's better in person." She gave a lazy thumbs up and opened the rest of the door, welcoming Diana in as though she was an old friend. "How's it hangin'?"

"Oh thanks! It probably looks terrible right now, honestly. Dealing with zombies and then sleeping in a pod for three months will do that,"she chuckled, stepping into the house and instantly glancing around her. She was a poor orphan and had honestly never seen anything so big. She wanted to run around and shout and see if it echoed or not, but that would be strange coming from her. "Honestly just trying to adjust to it all still. Hoping to find more of my family, but my chances of that are fading." It wasn't surprising though. Who would be willing to let a bunch of criminals out after all? She was surprised they even offered her a job.

Oddly enough the wide-eyed look around left Chel even more relaxed. She knew the feeling of being overwhelmed with wealth and frequently wore that look when she visited fancier places. Having a bankrupt family would do that to you. Thus she also didn't open her mouth to question it; she also knew the familiar shame that came from poverty.
So she was a girl from that Creation-zombie-town they'd investigated? Chel didn't have the heart to say that was one of the tamer missions she'd been on.
"I feel you. Yer lucky though- I ain't want my cousin here. Too easy fer him t'die." Chel realized that left their conversation on a rather bleak note though, and quickly waved her hand to clear the air. "Anyways uh- my s**t's upstairs," she said, gesturing to the small staircase to their right, looking rather plain next to the house's grandeur aesthetics.
Once she began the ascent, she said, "It takes a while t'get use to all of it. Don't let ******** force you t'do it fast, 'cause I made a lot of mistakes that way."

Diana followed after her, nodding as she took in what she was saying. She could understand not wanting to have family here. It was going to be a dangerous life after all, but for her it was a bit different. With no word on anyone else, she could only assume they'd been taken over by the zombies, well Creation or something of the like as she found out. "I've got one person here, but yeah," Diana ignored her own worry over Max and tried to focus on happier things instead. Like how great her hair was going to look once it was fixed up. "Well even if I don't really meet many people, I'll still try to help out the best I can. If you ever need help doing anything just let me know!"

Chel let out a throaty laugh, the kind that had clearly seen some wear and tear. "You sound like Allan- you met him yet? Sun lead. Real follow yer dreams and do yer best kinda guy." Despite having transferred to Death, Chel could still hear Allan's lungs of steel ringing in her ear.
"Who's yer person here?" she asked casually. Chel was nosy like that.

"Ah no, only met you really. I'm an old lady and don't get out much," she joked, though it was pretty close to the truth. She just sat in her little room all day talking to Akali more than anything. "Oh Max, well Porter I guess, not really sure about what he wants to be called anymore. He's my....well, my van driver. Prison family. He's safe," she finished awkwardly, unsure of what they really were. She just knew they were there for each other.

Chel noted that she didn't give a proper relation like "sibling" or "cousin." Not blood then. Chel respected that oddly enough; it was easy to be born with family, it was hard to make it yourself.
"'As good," she commented, finally reaching the top of the stairs and gesturing the other woman down the hallway to the master bedroom. "Keep people like that close, just be careful. People get turned on each other a lot here- not necessarily by choice." She could name at least three instances wherein she'd had to fight her friends and none of the experiences had been all too fun. "Good idea t'make yourself a family, not an army."
Said bedroom connected to the master bathroom, and from there it would be easy to spot the hair dye. Despite Jack's efforts to keep things tidy, Chel somehow always found a way to splash her belongings all across the bathroom. The sink counter was filled with tiny bottles, half opened boxes, makeup kits and other tools of her trade.

"Not at all!" Diana exclaimed, surprised at her comment. "You've been here a while, so I'm sure you know a ton about everything here. No harm in speaking from experience." At least it was a good warning, though she hoped Max would never turn on her. He was the only support she had in Deus at the moment. Following after her into the bathroom, she was still thoroughly amazed by it all. It seemed most of the other hunters lived in the strange dorms or basement area, but this was far different than any of that. If she could one day own a house of her own, she would be set. "Sorry if I seem a bit strange. Just a little overwhelmed by it all," she admitted, hoping she didn't sound too weird saying that.

"You need a sec?" Chel asked with consideration. "S'too big, right?" she added knowingly. Chel still got weirded out by the corridors and number of rooms; too much space.
"F'it was me I woulda gone somewhere smaller, but Jack's into spooky stuff. S'technically his house- wanted t'give him a haunted mansion feel y'know," she rambled on. Truth be told she missed the dorms; she missed people and she missed not having to worry about a shadow breaching the shield at any given second of the day. These were the sacrifices she had made though.

"Jack told me never trust a drink from a Life Division person. That's about all I've heard from him," Diana laughed. It had been one of her first days awake and she'd been playing around on the Deus twitter when she encountered the man. He had been very helpful at least. "He seems the sort to like spooky. But yeah, never been in such a big home. Always lived in cramped spaces with lots of other people." She didn't necessarily want to admit the fact she'd been in prison before this, but it wasn't just the prison that had been like that. The orphanage had been just as bad. Too cramped, never a private moment. She supposed with the big house they at least got some privacy.

Chel let out a bark of laughter without meaning to. "He's not good at twitter and s**t. Gotta corner him in the real world." She leaned in close like it was a secret, "Then be as obnoxious as hell."
She opened one of the cabinets and pulled out the basket of hair dye bottles, ranging from just about every color under the sun. "'Fore we get into tragic backstories, y'wanna pick somethin' pretty?"

It was a Christmas miracle, well as close as there could be for her anyway. She'd never seen so much hair dye before. It'd been hard enough just keeping up with hers and it was only one dye. She could go for a completely different color, surprise Max with it and potentially freak him out. That would be fairly amusing. Or she could stick to the basics. With so many options it was a hard decision! "What do you think? Maybe the same purple up top, but change the dark tips to something lighter? I could do pink or something else."

"Nah, I can't pick fer you. S'gotta be from you," she informed Diana, waving her hand in the air. "F'you go pink yer gonna come out the same color as me though. I can see why you'd want to though, I'm damn fine."
She pointed to her own hair; she didn't have any other shades of pink because Chel actually didn't like most pinks, only hot pink. "Ah- this one's off limits," she said, pulling out a bottle of green and putting it aside.

"Green isn't really my color anyway. Besides you are being nice enough to let me use everything else. Any rules you have I will definitely listen to. I think...hm maybe I'll stick to purple for now. It's still a safe color." She did love the color she had after all. "So, you been here a while? I mean you must have been to have the fancy house and all."
