anyway. That was reasonable right? Ugh. Powered nonsense.
He rubbed the side of his head, remembering meeting up with Castor.Worrying about Chaos was bad enough without worrying if a verbal spar with that obnoxious creep was going to get his head beaten in...
Though he did kind of wish that there was a way to access the ability to sense auras while powered down. He'd feel a bit safer...

Super Sailor Denebola hadn't intended on powering up and getting into a fight with a youma that night, but there she was skidding into Jamie's path with a canine-like youma hot on her heels. It was the fifth youma she'd run into in the last week or so and she might've left it alone if it hadn't been terrorizing a single mother and her two children.
Her inner-hero wouldn't let her walk away from that.
She kicked out, clocking the beast in the jaw when she turned to face it, only catching a glimpse of the blond as she twirled. "s**t," she cursed she realized she'd endangered a civilian.
It turned it's attention away from her to snarl at the appearance of another body. She only had second to react before she was on it's back, yanking it away by the scruff of it's neck. The youma snapped at her and she caught it's mouth by the jaw, teeth digging into the skin of her hands and tearing her gloves. She used the rest of her strength to tear it's mouth open until it crumpled to dust in her hands. Wiping her hands on her skirt she turned to face the blond.
"Hey, you're okay right?" She asked, cocking her head as her dual-colored eyes flicked over him.
So that was what it looked like from the other side. It had been a while since he'd been in this spot, and last time he'd panicked and powered up. Also it had been a knight. Those had been a new experience to boot.
"...Yeah... yeah I'm fine." He assured her, blinking. Two different colored eyes? You didn't see -that- much. Kind of more unusual than the Youma to be totally honest. "Stupid goddamn monsters... this is why I try to be home by now." He grumbled. "Thanks for that."
"You?" He asked. She had no idea he was hiding an henshin pen in his coat pocket, but it didn't have to take a secret identity to wonder if other people were ok.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Denebola replied, brushing his concerns away despite the way her hands stung from the bite marks. "They're a pain, it's why there's a curfew." She looked him up and down, like she was trying to judge what type of person he was. "You should probably--"
"My, my, what do we have here?" A dark cooed from above them.
Her head snapped up, towards the voice and her eyes went wide when she recognized the figure on the rooftop.
Labyrinthite. And he'd been promoted.
s**t, s**t, s**t.
"I need you to," she waved a hand desperately at Jamie, directing him to either get behind her or start running. "You need to run, I'll distract him, keep him busy, just--"
"Little dragonfly, I've been wondering where you went," the general cooed, dropping from his perch and to the ground before her. His pushed his hood back so they could see his face and the manic grin that was spread across it-- all teeth and shark-like.
"Run, please," she begged of the man as she put herself between them with her hands curling into fists. Her heart hammered against her ribcage as she tried to look unafraid as she stared down the soldier.
"Ah," Labyrinthite chirped as he advanced on her, "You want to play, then lets play."
It happened too quickly for her to really process what was happening. There were blocking blows, but she was no match for his strength and before she knew it, she was pressed against a wall with hand pressed against her throat.
She still kicked at him and her fingers scratched against the hand around her neck but it didn't mean much. Panic was welling in her chest as she squirmed but the way she figured it, at least the civilian was safe.
God he felt OLD. He remembered back in the day when all this had seemed like some kind of weird surreal joke. Squeaky hammers and talking cats. This wasn't a joke. It wasn't even trying to be funny, and he didn't even have to feel Labrynthite's power to know the nega was trouble. Hell he had a freaking Scythe.
He backed up, if not far, just enough to hopefully make them both think he was taking the advantage to run, and god he wanted to. He really didn't want to do any of this... but if he was going to, one thing he needed was range. Especially since he didn't imagine the next bit was going to make him too popular.
"Regulus Eternal Make up!" Which was followed as fast as possible by a snarl of "Noble Claws of the Lion!"
Which was a risk in and of itself. He was right on top of her, and he might hit the girl as well, but he was sort of counting on her attacker to act as an inadvertent shield.
NAME: Claws of the Lion: "Sailor Regulus" Summons two handfuls of small blades, which appear to be made out of fire, but are more solid. None are powerful enough to be lethal, but if they actually hit their target, they'll leave painful cuts and burns.
1.a: Noble Claws of the Lion: Again, summons two fist fulls of small firey blades, though they now burn more brightly, and inflict slightly deeper cuts and burns. Unlikely to be lethal, but definitely an increased danger potential.

Now this might smart a bit...

It wasn't working, her attempts to break free were nothing compared to his strength, his capacities and he hadn't even used his weapon against her. She was certain that he would've cleaved her in half if he had wanted.
"When I am done with you, I am going to find that man you were so desperate to protect," Labyrinthite hissed in her ear when her body began to slack. "Little dragonfly, do you have any idea how long I've waited to be rid of you? Pest." Her resolve to fight against him had weakened, the kicking had stopped and her grip on his hand diminishing.
Her head was hazy, heavy from the lack of oxygen that she didn't even notice the sudden flare of a strong senshi aura until claws were flying at them. She only registered a sting and a burn against her exposed forearm and then, suddenly, she was on the ground gasping for air.
Labyrinthite had recoiled backward as many of the fire-blades tore into his cloak and through his uniform. A hiss of pain slipped through bared teeth as he turned to face the new player. His skin was raw and angry beneath the tears of clothing and there was a deep cut across his cheek as he scowled.
Denebola was too busy gasping for air, clutching at her wounded arm, and trying to keep the world from spinning in her lack of oxygen-induced dizziness to pay much attention to Regulus. Vaguely, she registered he was there but she was in no position to move or do anything.
"Looks like a little kitten has decided to come play," Labyrinthite mocked, gold eyes sweeping across the uniform and noting the twin tails. "Let's play," he growled low when he slid forward, scythe swinging at the senshi.
"Yeah..." Regulus narrowed his eyes, spreading his arms slightly in preparation to attack again. It had been a while since he'd done this. He still didn't want to do this, but if there was anything he wasn't planning to do it was. "Play."
The Sarcasm was at least as smoldering hot as the attack had been, and he forced a thin, cutting smile to go with it. "So. What's your gamble. Wanna find out if I can do that again?"
He waggled his finger tips, trying to bait the nega while keeping space between them and him, but this time had a different move in mind. If he could get him to his knees, it would be much more difficult to get the angle to swing that damn scythe... If nothing else she might be able to catch her breath and run
"SUMMON THE PRINCE!"
Summon the Prince: ((weak version since he hasn't gotten his pride back yet.)): Regulus summons an spectral lion, largely translucent and flickering with ghostly fire, with it's brightest point being the dazzlingly bright light at the heart of the creature. The lion lunges to attack the senshi's foes, though it's strike is not that of a corporeal lion, and instead strikes as a powerful wave of heat and force, intended to drive an foe back or bring them to their knees in parody of surrender. The attack is not un-dodgeable, and a strong enough opponent is likely be able to stand their ground.

"The odds say yes," Labyrinthite responded when his first swing missed. It'd been a sloppy attack with poor aim and he'd cursed himself for it, but continued forward anyway. He lifted the bone-scythe, pulling it back over his shoulder and was ready to strike when the eternal sent another attack his way.
Instinctively he brought his weapon across his body so that the blade protected his face, assuming that another round of flame daggers would be sent his way. When he found himself with a lion and impressive heat, he was surprised which allowed it to work as mostly intended.
The lion did not bring him to his knees, not fully, but Labyrinthite stumbled, sunk down partially to one knee with his scythe still across his body. His teeth were gritted together as he glared at Regulus.
"Nice trick," he snarled as his foot and knee slid back from some of the force.

Once Denebola found that she was capable of breathing properly once more, she struggled to her feet using the wall as an anchor and help. Two-toned eyes looked frantically towards her would-be grim reaper and the senshi who'd come to her aid.
Her heart thumped in her chest as she looked at him and she wondered, because she hadn't felt any order-aligned aura's before, if he was the senshi she'd tried to protect. A flash of white-hot fury surged through her at the idea and her hands curled into fists.
When this was over, if they got out relatively unscathed, she was going to have words with him.
Until then, they needed to drop the general so they could get away.
She stepped back, almost appearing as though she was about to flee when she took off running towards the general muttering, "Flight of the dragonflies!" With the speed boost thanks to her magic, she barreled into the general with enough force to send him sprawling into the ground, weapon clattering to the floor and falling just out of reach.
Panting she kept going until she was beside Regulus. She extended her hand out to him.
"I don't know about you, but," she said between heaving breaths, "but I don't really want to keep fighting. We should go."
"Good thought." He had magic to continue, but he didn't -want- to continue. He'd always struggled with having a taste to do anything more than disrupt nega activity, shake people up, break up the fights... and he knew too damn well that there were those who considered that a serious disappointment. "Let's go!" He reached to take her hand, if for no other reason so that they'd be harder to separate, and decided to get going while the going was good. If he had to he could always turn and fire some more rounds at the b*****d, but he'd rather leave him wondering how much, and how often he could be pelted with fire, or knocked down with a ghostly lion.
"Friend of yours?" He asked, as he attempted to tug her along, figuring beating a path, albeit perhaps a round about one, to home, might be the best bet. If nothing else there were doors....
Man he hoped that guy had a lousy memory for faces though, he wasn't sure he wanted that particular Nega tracking him down, especially not while leaving work.

As far as Denebola was concerned, one brush with death was enough for a single night and she was eager to get them both as far away as possible. Her fingers laced between his so she could get a better grip on him and then she took off running. "If you feel like it, a deterrent attack would probably be a good idea," she panted daring to glance behind them.
"God, no," she shuddered that the idea of Labyrinthite being anymore than a living nightmare. "We have history I guess," she managed feeling the suffocation chaos aura slip further and further away.
"I have a habit of getting in his way." Her grip on his tightened like she was going to lose him. She couldn't stand the idea that she'd have to face the reaper alone again.
"This way," she tugged him to the right. "My flat isn't too far from here, we can get close, then power down and hideout there for a while."
"I need both hands for that..." Jaimie gasped, keeping pace, but feeling, a bit, the lack of practice. "Gimme a second."
That was one problem with the claws, you had to let go of them nearly as soon as summoning them, or pay a steep price tag.He had to assume the results would be similar if he did it while holding someone's hand.
He tugged his hand loose briefly, turning back with a skid of boot heels to call 'Noble Claws of the Lion!" one more time, sending a handful of firey streaks sailing back into the growing distance between them. He hoped one of them hit, but he didn't wait to check before bolting after Denebola again. "I'm not far either, so that's an option if you're worried about him tracking you back."
She was going to kick his a** the minute they powered down, he was sure of it. He might even deserve it, but he still wasn't looking forward to it.

She let him pull his hand free, even as her still hovered in the space where they'd been connected until he returned, catching the glint of the fire blades as they were thrown behind them. She heard a hiss and a string of curses, but she didn't want to see what might follow them after.
She swore she could hear the chiiiink! of Labyrinthite's weapon being dragged behind him, but she also couldn't hear much over the sound of her heart in her ears.
"Yeah," she swallowed, thinking of how recently she'd already potentially compromised her home. "Maybe your place would be better, just for a bit. But --I don't want you to be compromised either."
Even if she wanted to have some words with him, she'd like to keep him alive.
"Well we could ditch planet I guess.... but we'd need to hole up for a minute. And I'm not sure you want to go visit what might as well be slightly fancier freaking Tatooine."
He'd been to Regulus once, and hadn't gone back. Too many awkward things related to the past memory he had glimpsed, and he didn't want to dig deeper. "My place should be fine as long as we don't leave him a power trail to follow..." Which meant taking a gamble on powering down, which made them slower, but harder to track, though Scythe-boy might well remember his coat and hair as 'that civilian'. UGH what a goddamn mess. Why didn't he just properly ditch. He could have ditched. ...She'd be dead, probably, but he really really could have ditched if he'd just managed to find enough self preservation to be a decent a*****e about the entire thing.

It hadn't occurred to her to leave Earth and go to one of their homeworlds; hers or Regulus's, until he mentioned it and suddenly, that sounded like a brilliant idea. Labyrinthite wouldn't be able to chase them there and they had just enough distance that even with all the concentration it took, they'd probably get out before he showed up again.
"I have what is basically a dead jungle filled with a bunch of mummified insects if that's your thing." Unlike Regulus, Denebola didn't mind going to her star or bringing people with. "Or we can ditch our powered get ups and make a break for it. I know a lot of back roads, you'll just have to give me an address."
Either way, she felt like they could take care of it and the general's aura wasn't close enough to them for her to feel too panicked about powering down.
Ugh... difficult choice. He hadn't been off world in ages, years actually, and he wasn't sure he was ready to go that far, but he didn't want to drag their problem home either... "Um... your world I guess? If you want to know where to find me afterward or vice versa we can do that more easily when we're not worrying about that guy knocking on the door pretending to be a pizza delivery. I like pizza. I don't want to have my enjoyment of pizza diminished by wondering if it's being brought by the Grim Freaking Nega-Agent. Man... he's almost as bad as Sassolite."
