The First Splatoon Squad Tournament!

So according to the poll a good majority want to have a tournament so that will be our first contest.
This is our first tournament so it might not be perfect, but please stick with us!

Therefore, we present:

Tournament Details

- Will be duos (teams of 2)
- Will start a few days after we get enough people. You'll be notified of its start
- Double Elimination (meaning you have to lose 2 sets to be eliminated)
- Undecided if it will be 8 teams or 16 teams. We'd like it to be 16 teams, but if that takes too long it will be 8.
- All stages were chosen at random, this is so we can play everything and also it was easier this way. In future tournaments you may be able to pick your maps
- Will play out over a few weeks. This is so you have enough time to set up a match between you and your opponents

Rules

PLEASE READ ALL RULES!

Teams
- Teams must consist of 2 players
- Teams cannot change over the course of the tournament
- All team members must be current Splatoon Squad Guild members
- Teams must sign up by posting in this thread, one person per duo may post the form listed below

Play
- Each round consists of 3 maps, the best of 2/3 wins
- Maps have been preselected using a randomized list
- Each round goes through the 3 ranked modes, in differing orders
- All gear and weapons are allowed
- Practicing is allowed! In fact, we encourage it! However, teams may not practice with the team they are matched with during the round they are supposed to play against each other.

Disconnects
- If a disconnect happens say so right away and restart the match. If it happens again the same game, whatever team was leading will win immediately
- Weapons and gear must stay the same if you restart
- We suggest you have a way to communicate with the other team. Be it Gaia's Friends Chat/Skype or whatever. Just have a way to communicate

Results
- Teams must complete matches before the designated end time of the round or be disqualified (DQed)
- 1 person from each team must report the results of the match (if there are disputes over which team actually won, both teams will be DQed, please be honest!)

Bracket

Currently this bracket is designed for 8 teams, but we will expand it as necessary.
The modes and stages shown have already been selected by a randomizer. If we need to add more rounds, we will randomize those as well.

Let me warn you, this is a very large image!

How to Report Results

- The designated team captain from each duo must report the winner of each match played
- The results must be posted in this thread before the match deadline
- If there are disputes between teams about who won, both teams will be disqualified, so please be honest!
