Hobbies: Cleaning: Benedict loves to lounge around and spend hours cleaning - himself, mainly - he has a very intense need to look neat and clean at all times. If a single hair gets mussed out of place, you can bet he will stop what he is doing at the first opportunity to fix it. This also includes his living space - Benedict expects high end, well maintained surroundings and he goes to great lengths to keep his own living space that way.
Dancing: Though probably more… frolicking as a cat. Benedict has spent so much of his time around the ballet that he’s picked up all sorts of moves from it. Moves he practices at any given moment. Much to the amusement of any watching. But he doesn’t care, it is art. His body is poetry in motion and you can’t tell him otherwise. He has style and grace.
Cuddles: Benedict loves to cuddle, so much so that if you sit down, and he’s nearby, prepare to have your lap invaded and, I hope you don’t have anywhere to be for the next three hours because you are now the property of Benedict and good luck on going anywhere. He can and will be moved if someone really has to go somewhere, but he will chirp and mewl the more sorriest of noises if you go away and he’s not done cuddling.
Virtues: Neat Freak: A place for everything and everything in its place. That is one of the mottos that Benedict lives by. So much so that the act of cleaning (himself or his surroundings) is a hobby for the mauvian. Benedict will stop what he is doing to clean if the time presents itself - even if the task seems sisyphean and insurmountable at first. But he won’t stop cleaning until the job is done - it's just his way.
Once more, with feeling!: Benedict doesn’t expect people to do things perfectly the first time. If anything, he expects that there will be things that need to be worked on and improved. What’s important, is that you throw yourself into what you are doing, and do it with great passion. He wants people to do their best, and is more than happy to cheer them on to help them do so. Benedict pushes only when he feels people aren’t giving it everything they got. Otherwise, he’s right there beside them cheering them on to victory and coaching them as best as he can.
Free to be, who you want to be: Benedict believes heavily in freedom of expression. So much so that he rarely judges people for being who they are. He might judge their choices - especially if he feels they are wrong - but rarely the person making the choices. People are free to be who they desire to be, even if they desire to be awful people, it's not his place to tell them otherwise.
Flaws: Until we bleed!: When Benedict feels someone isn’t throwing everything they have into something, he is not above pushing them hard. In fact, he’ll push them until they’re ready to give up on the task entirely. Benedict does not relent when he feels that someone isn’t trying their best. He will help them yes, but be prepared to sit and practice the thing until you get sick of doing it.
Spoiled Lap Cat: Benedict expects a certain level of… refinement… in his surroundings. He will turn up his nose at things if they do not meet his tastes. If that means he goes hungry, oh well, only the best to feed his temple of a body. He expects the best in all things, even if such refinement is difficult to obtain. It’s not his fault that he can’t pay for such things. He’s a cat, he has no thumbs!
Melodramatic: Benedict has a puffed up sense of his own intellect, so much so that he gets very, very upset if it appears he’s not as smart as he thinks he is. If a plan goes poorly, or he’s outsmarted or even just loses in a regular argument with someone, you can bet he will lay despondent for DAYS, bemoaning how much of a fool and and an obvious idiot he is. It takes quite a lot of stroking to his ego to get him to even WANT to do anything but lie there and mope.
