School: Currently not in school as she's working full time in a dance club, 101 Nights, as a dancer to save up money to try and get into school.
Hobbies: Dancing – Raja loves to dance, it's something she's done since she was little and is, currently, her chosen career path while she works on putting herself into school. Taught to her by her aunt, it was like opening the doors to the rest of the world. From ballet in her younger years, to tap and then later belly dancing, she's got several years of several types under her belt and wishes to some day learn more. More often then not she dances her way to any where more then she walks.
Fashion Design – The thing that fascinates Raja more then dancing is the costumes she's worn through several recitals, as well as other dancers have worn. This lead to a love of attempting to design fashion to learning how to sew and actually make decent costumes and clothing. She'd like to go to college for fashion design, to better herself in this field, and is the biggest goal in her life.
Fabric Shopping – With a love of designing costumes and clothes comes a love of fabric, and boy does Raja have plenty of that. Problem is she wants more. As such she tends to go shopping for fabric and any left over money from bills and food goes towards this endeavor. She can (and does) easily get up early in the morning to go looking for fabric sales on days off, adding more to her rapidly growing horde. She's beginning to run out of places to store it in her apartment.
Graveyard Picnics - A slightly more morbid hobby, Raja has a love for graveyards and spends a lot of quiet time there. It started with a monthly visit to the graves of her grandparents and quickly formed to spending hours sitting under trees reading or sketching new designs. Her favourite thing to do, however, is have a lovely picnic under the trees of the graveyard, and has made it a constant to have at least one a week. Sure it tends to bring in double-takes and odd stares, but what does she care as long as she's enjoying herself?
Virtues: Energetic – Raja is a bundle of energy that always seems to be on the go. She never seemed to run out of it. Whether it's dancing at 101 Nights or running around the town trying to get things needed for her latest design project, she does it with such enthusiasm she tends to either blow people over or drive them nuts.
She doesn't let people's bad attitudes towards her energy get her down, she just keeps a smile plastered on her face and keeps on moving to her next destination or continuing with what she had been. She's got enough going on that she doesn't need other people trying to drag her down.
Laugh and the world laughs with you... – Raja doesn't frown. She doesn't cry, she doesn't get angry, she doesn't even loose her cool. In the face of those around her, even strangers, she'll keep on smiling as if the world will never end. After all that one smile could make a person's day and there's no better feeling then that.
Bubbly, happy and affectionate, being an eternal ray of sun is simply who she is and all the world will ever get to see if she has her way. She doesn't hesitate to make friends or go up and hug a stranger, smiles make the world go round and she's bound to prove it.
Flaws: Easily Distracted -- Despite being energetic and always on the go, Raja can very easily stop in her tracks if something else catches her attention. Fabric when she's not shopping at all, shiny trinkets when she's simply just walking down the street, even a person who's looks are eye catching can stop this girl in her track and derail a good portion of her day.
She's often been late due to being so easily distracted, be it to work or even meeting with a friend. And if something has really caught her eye she's gone and spent money she shouldn't have just to get it and take it home. Luckily this has yet to affect bill/rent or food money, but she's praying such a day never comes.
Weep and you weep alone – No one needs to know that Raja is anything but happy, it's none of their business after all. As such she's learned how to keep other emotions to herself, locked away in a little box in the back of her mind. Few have seen her anger, even less have seen her tears.
She knows this is a dangerous thing to do, after all one can only be so happy and cheerful before they lose control. Of which Raja has done once before and it's something she'd rather not repeat, though she does very little to prevent it. If she wants help in dealing with her negative emotions she'll ask for it, but until then the world should just butt out and leave her to it.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Tilted at the corners, giving her an almost almond shape to her eyes. Are large and expressive. Magenta in color.
Hair: Short and uneven, it's longer in the front and shorter in the back (think the Major from Ghost in the Shell). Indigo in color, though she's bleached the bottom part of her hair (and her bangs) white, a sort of self done ombre. Has a little attachable hair clip of thread with silver stars on it. Thread is silver and black.
Face: Narrow face, full lips, narrow nose bridge and tip. Light olive but tanned. She's 5'9”.
Clothes: Baggy pants, oh how she loves baggy pants, usually wearing them so they sit just on her waist and leave the rest to cover her feet. Most often they're black (or dark blue, purple, or red), adorned with snow white straps. Her top is always a midriff, sleeveless shirt, black (or dark blue, purple or red) to match her pants. Underneath is a gold mesh shirt with a hood and sleeves that go down to hook over her thumbs. On her arms and wrists are gold bands she never goes with out, and she wears gold rings on her hands: three on her right, five on her left. Which pseudo-matches her ears, which are pierced (with star studs) three on her left (with a clip at the top) and five on her right. Shoes are black and white skater shoes and she wears around her neck a tarnished gold chain with a solid gold
star pendant hanging from it.
